First, I have to acknowledge that they offer good protection once properly on. They're made from some kind of stiff but flexible layered plastic and silicone that even before attaching you can feel the durability. The top filter is anti-glare and actually makes the screen look crisper and brighter, and the bottom filter doesn't seem to pick up scratches, although it lacks the antiglare layer of the top as that would impede touch sensitivity.The problem is they are extremely hard to attach cleanly even on a new DS. Even in an apparently dust-free environment there are particles whizzing around, and I can guarantee that between removing backing and placing the filter,

After much trial and error with finding screen protectors for me and my brother's ds lite consoles I eventually found these on Amazon.After applying them easily I can definately say they are the best protectors for the ds and ds lite.Unlike most screen protectors you can re-apply these if need be, I did'nt think the touch screen protector was in perfect positioning on mine so I re-applyed it. I saw some dust under the top screen protector so I used the instructions that guided me to removing it and re-applying the screen. Quite simple.Now a thing I must mention is to make sure an adult applies the protectors,

Great little product - worth the money.Good instructions, not too fiddly. Comes with clear backing sheets on both side of each filter.Clean the screen carefully with the cloth provided, remove first backing sheet and place over screen starting from one edge and gently laying it down. Then remove top backing sheet. Backing sheets are oversized/have a tab so easy to remove.Had a stray bit of dirt - easily peeled protector back and removed dirt with cellotape. Only had a couple of tiny air bubbles easily squeezed away with top backing sheet still on.Has had minimal effect on the touch screen response.

These did the job I bought them for, and they did it very well... and so they ought to at the price I paid for them (8 quid!). Fortunately, the RRP has come down a bit since then, and Amazon have knocked even more off this at the time of writing.Although it still doesn't sound cheap for a couple of pieces of plastic, these are almost invisible in use, adjustable (so you can get the bubbles out with a bit of patience), and seem quite durable. I'd certainly recommend them- although the DS screen is fairly scratch resistant, it'll still pick them up in normal use, so I'd recommend these.(Note; disregard the "fun" rating which doesn't apply, but Amazon forced me to fill in anyway).

Having recently purchased a DS Lite and wanting to prevent any screen damage, I had tried some screen protectors made by GameExpert: they were absolutely awful. The Hori screen protectors, in contrast, are a revelation. Just clean up with the included cloth, peel one side of the backing away and apply, then peel away the other. I had some issues getting the bubbles out at first, but found that the ability to remove and reapply, plus diligent action with the stylus fixed this.Now these are on, I can barely see them and the touchscreen response isn't affected at all. A fantastic purchase, if you are going to buy screen protectors, buy these.

...clean the sticky side of the protectors or they will get dust on them. The triple Layer Action really helps and the comfort for writing really help! Especially in PictoChat! Easy to use and exact right sizes to fit the screen perfectly! The cleaning cloth used before the putting on of the really keeps it dust free! (Cloth also helps clean my DS/DS lite!) Good and re-usable. I first used on my DS and then I bought a DS lite and stuck on perfectly well. No falling off or anything like that! I'm giving a thumbs up for this item!

Well they do the job, they are thick (thicker then any other I know so prevent scratches well) they stick well, they have a nice anti-glare coating on them. only problem is the protector is slightly smaller then the touch screen leaving an annoying gap plus they no longer include a card to help push the bubbles out like they used to.All in all they are still the best brand to get when buying screen protectors I just wish they made them the same size as the screen itself.

I recently bought a DS Lite and applied a protective screen made by another manufacturer (not this one). Disaster - the touch screen practically didn't work any more. Typing words in was almost impossible. I got rid of that screen and bought this one from Hori. Totally different - as far as I can tell, it does not reduce the function of the touch screen at all, and of course it protects it from scratches. I'm really pleased with this product.

Please don't waste money buying any of the other screen protectors, these genuine Nintendo ones are by far the better quality ones.They do not obscure any of the screen & leave no resedue behind if removed and once on the DS you wont even notice they are there, they re also re-positionable so if you dont get it right the first time you can have another go!Well worth the money.

I bought some cheaper versions and they had a lot of air bubbles and were ruined within a few days. These official ones are definately worth buying - they're really easy to apply, and if you have any air bubbles they're easy to get out.I'd recommend buying these official versions rather than wasting your money on cheaper versions and then realising that they're rubbish!!

Not much to really comment on. Excellent quality screen protection, easy to apply and well documented.These are also officially licensed by Nintendo and quite rightfully so, they are probably the best on the market. Excellent double layered system for application leads to zero air bubbles if applied correctly.Save your screen, It's well worth it!

A perfect solution if you worry about scratching your DS Lite screen. Easy to apply (with clear instructions) - just take your time to avoid air bubbles. Once on you would not know they are then - if anything the screens both look more vivid and sharp. The Touch Screen works perfectly with the stylus.A must have accessory for any DS owner.

Take 5 minutes to follow the instructions supplied with your screen protectors and use the cleaning cloth to push out air bubbles as you apply them. So good i can't even tell i have them on!

Just what I've been looking for. All in English (not Japanese like the last lot I got) and are just like the ones I got when I originally purchased my DS Lite. Excellent.

Easy to place on the screen, the screen is still as sensitive to the stylus pen, as without it.expencive, compareed to other filters, but defenetly worth it!
