I bought these bulbs to compliment my existing Alexa setup. I always liked the idea of being able to turn on the lights when I get home before I enter the living room. And now, I can simply ask Alexa to turn on the lights as soon as I open the door. I also wanted bulbs that did not require yet another app installing on my phone. And as I already have a hive boiler, I was prepared to pay a bit more for the hive bulbs so that I can make further use of an app that I already have installed.I have installed my two bulbs in the wall lights of my living room, and at 100% brightness, I would say they are too bright for our normal evening relaxation in front of the TV. But this is not an issue,

Once it connected to my Hive system it was great but I actually sent one back for a replacement thinking it didn’t fit. Then I had a brain storm and took it upstairs to the room where the hub is and got it to work immediately! Once it was connected, I brought it back downstairs and it has worked since with only the odd hiccup. My hub is one of the original ones primarily fitted when new voile went in over ten years ago so it may be that!The lamp is probably not as bright as I would have liked but it serves its purpose!

These bulbs with a Hives box or an Alexa are easy to install & use.No more looking for the bed side lamps switch when you go up to bed, time to go to sleep or first thing in the morning.You link the bed side lamps & either switch on with your phone or tell Alexa to switch on or off.Save energy by selecting if you want to have the lights on at 25, 50, 75, 100% or any combination you want.The lamps aren't cheap but will in the long term save you money on the ever increasing energy Bill's.

The Hive system is great and to add this to the system was just another great add on. This bulb went in my side light in the bedroom, and to be able to control when it goes on and off even when your not there is amazing. You can alter the brightness from 10%-100%.A little more to pay perhaps then a normal light bulb but being a gadget man I need to have the latest gadgets. Well worth looking around price wise and at this time Argos was the best price at this time for this bulb.

I was thrilled with these bulbs, we already have Hive heating, so these added onto the app nicely. It is great to have the security of knowing that your lights will come on and go off at set times. It is very easy to alter the times on it so that they can be changed if you are on holiday etc. Being able to turn the lights on from anywhere is great. I am a big fan of the Hive products and I will definitely be getting more over time.

I have a disability so these have been fabulous in reducing the need to stand up to switch lights on around the house in the darker months. I have them set to my usual routine or can just ask Alexa to switch them on or off from wherever I'm sat or when I am in bed.Only negative is price as it does work out expensive when installing in every room. Although to be fair to Amazon their prices were the cheapest when I bought mine

The seamless way it syncs to my hive system is excellent, fits nicely in my table lamp. Provides a nice low light (on 20% illumination) to safely let me navigate the landing/stairs in the morning using the inbuilt timer, Yet provides a lovely stronger glow of an evening when I schedule this. Timer/schedule easy and simple to set. Nice yellow hue. Another excellent hive product that makes life simpler and safer.

The Hive Smart System is brilliant and it links to Google Home Hub as well as Amazon Alexa so you can have either of or both of these systems and The Hive will respond to voice commands. So as a 70+ this saves me having to get up to switch the lights on or the outside lights on or even Boost the Heating if it's exceptional cold all without leaving my armchair.

Solid quality, bought it in conjunction with an Amazon Echo which together they work seamlessly, also have HIVE in the house anyway, easy set up and plenty of features. Dimmable feature is great for all scenarios especially movie nights. 100% brightness is bright. Everything you would want from a normal bulb just with some extras.

I have several of these little bulbs around my home, all connecting back to my Hive Hub - working great with my Alexa, I can set lights to come on and turn off, either by time of day, or app or Voice Controlled.The only downside is you don’t seem to be able to set the lights for sunrise/sunset which you could with the plugs

Works well with the hive hub as one may expect.As with all smart bulbs, these are not cheap, I think these average around £20 a light bulb each and personnally I don't think it's worth the money.If money for light bulbs is no object and you've budgeted for this, then you won't find better quality for hive anywhere else.

Hi, out of the 5 bulbs purchased 1 of them is always off line.I have tryed to bring it online with the other 4 but it will not respond ie when you turn them of with the Hive App one always stays on so I have to turn it off by the mains switch. I would be grateful if you could send me some replacements.Regards GD McDonald.

I love these Hive bulbs, not only can I have them dimmed to 1% so there is very little light (as a migraine sufferer this is great!) but they are much brighter at 100% than my old LED bulbs. As an added bonus I can control them by Alexa or my phone. They are expensive but they're worth it! (uplighter light fitting used)

Excelent smart alexa intergrated light bulb easy to install and setup nice being able to dim bulb with alexa and your voice or the hive app. The E14 is the smaller screw in bulb so just be aware before buying this bulb can be nice and bright or nice and dim i have mine in a bedroom and its perfect for my needs.

Since we got the Hive heating, I have been hooked on Hive bulbs and changing all them over in the house - so easy to set up, done 2 bedside lamps and connected to Alexa in less time that it takes to brush your teeth! Set to come on when the alarm goes off in the morningBonus not having to touch lightswitches
