Wow, this jigsaw cuts through wood like butter on full speed. It has power, and is far superior to any jigsaw I have previously owned.There is a good weight balance, and it is comfortable to hold.The only negative would be that It takes hitachi's own blade connector, so be aware of that if purchasing replacement or additional blades.It is a small negative though, and worth the trade off.Especially worth while if you use any of the other cordless 18v range. Slide on battery type, will take any 18v slide on hitachi battery.Managed to use it for several hours on a 4 mAh lithium battery without a charge.I own Makita and Hitachi cordless tools, Makita are seen as one of the go to brands,

Wireless Hitachi tools are just wonderfull. I bought the drill in slide version, and now, I am buying single bodies for all other tools ...

bought the jig saw bare as the batteries are interchangeable with other Hitachi products runs brilliantly on the 18v 5amp hr
