Cable ties are ok. Easily in any case. A bit short so that it can be connected to a fence or something similar. works mediocre well. The key is not an individual key, but a kind of plug that probably fits on all locks of this type. Of course, you always have to have this plug with you and store it somewhere safe (it is best to take the cable ties with you closed so as not to run the risk of connecting the bike and getting it loose again if you don't have a key). I mostly use the lock to lock the front wheel to the frame. Processing is average; a few euros too expensive for what you get. The castle would deserve 3.5 points. Since I find these things very practical, however,it will be 4 points.

Don't mistake these for proper bicycle security. They're basically reusable zip-ties with a steel core that make great ultralight 'locks' for when you're leaving your bike somewhere very visible with a high footfall for a *few minutes*. Tightening and positioning them to make them less accessible to wire-cutters will help. But NOT for securing your bike at the railway station bike-park.They're more of an inconvenience/deterrent for opportunistic thieves and mischief-makers. But there is nothing simpler or lighter for basic security, and I don't like carrying a lock that weighs as much as my bike's frame, unless I really have to, so for the kind of cycling I do, these make sense.

I was after a small lock that was visible, super lightweight and suitable for use outside coffee shops. This is the perfect lock. Granted it does not provide a very high level of security and could easily be cut by a criminal. However I don't need it for heavy security as I never stray far from my bike at a cafe. This folds nicely and fits perfectly in the back pockets of a jersey, it's super lightweight so doesn't weigh us road riders down. I ordered the yellow colour which is very visible on the bike hopefully further deterring a criminal. I would very much recommend to a rider who doesn't need a very secure lock, but wants something lightweight and simple as a small deterrent.

My hip locks stay on my e bike so that they can be used without any hunting around in panniers or stuff . Obviously these are never going to stop anyone who is determined to take the bike and they are no substitute for a quality lock but for a quick nip into a shop they are a really useful item.Because they are reinforced They are less flexible than a regular cable tie but I like the fact that they are very visible and extremely lightweight, I would have liked at least one of them to have been twice as long as the other as that would then make it ideal for immobilising the rear wheel. They are perfect for securing the bikes onto our fiamma bike rack

These work very easily and add a bit of deterrent-based security. Know that the keys are all the same, as I did when buying this. My only complaint is that the keys are spikey. There's really no need given that this isn't part of the small amount of security they have. I could imagine a different shape could have been used as easily (maybe something like a car fuse) without much difference in design, but without the leg-stabbing side-effects. To be fair, this hasn't proven much of a practical problem considering the keys are so small.

These small locks are ideal for our intended purpose - locking our children’s bikes while the venture around the playground. The lock weighs only a few grams and can be easily coiled into a coat pocket. I will potentially use this for my own bike when stopping at a cafe a leaving my bike within site to stop an opportunist ‘grab and dash’ thief. The lock would not be substantial enough to stop a determined bike thief and I would not use it when leaving my bike unattended outside for an extended period of time.

Really handy café lock. Great because of how light it is.It is only a deterrent - if anyone has any sort of cutters they would get through this very quickly, but it's great if you're just popping into a shop (I have it attached to my bike so I can always pop into the supermarket on the way home) and just want to stop someone from walking past and wandering off with your bike.Downside is definitely that it's very easy to break, and it won't last forever, but it was cheap and cheerful, so I'm happy!

Lightweight, easy to store away in a jersey & suitable for use outside coffee shops, this is the perfect lock for that ONLY!! It does not provide a very high level of security and could easily be cut by a criminal. However its not designed for heavy security, just a small deterrent while your have a cheeky coffee break. I would very much recommend to any riders who wants something lightweight and simple as a small deterrent.

Bought this product for my wheelie bin as I saw my neighbour disposing her rubbish in my bin as hers was obviously full (sorry but having none of it) so thought I'd try this. I drilled a small hole through the lid, straight through the lip then thread it through. I'm well pleased with the result so I've ordered more for my other bins. Strong, good quality product for what I'm using it for. 5 stars from me.

Wanted something to protect my bike when popping into coffee shop etc. that would be light and easy to carry but would prevent any opportunist thief who might happen to walk by. I would never trust this lock if I was leaving the bike out of sight for more than a few minutes or where theives are known to operate, of course, since a pair of pliers could probably outgun this tie in no time. Let's see.

I wanted some light weight locks for my new bike because it has quick release wheels. Lightweight because I have to carry it around. The Z-Lok is perfect it is long enough to attach either the front or back wheel to the frame so whichever isn’t attached to the bike parking rack has a Z-Lok on it. Again not for leaving your bike all day, but quick and easy to use for a pop into the shops!

Purchased for cafe stops to prevent someone easily running off with bike. You could cut through this with a knife/pliers but that is not the point. I purchased this for when I am at a cafe say 10-15 ft away from bike and to that end it does exactly what I intended. Would be improved with a small cable tie attaching the key to the lock for transit but overall quite happy.

Great solution for quick stops - I use them when stopping for coffee, etc where I can more or less keep my bike in sight. They're also useful for things like locking a bag to a train luggage rack or any other time you need to leave something for a few minutes. No, they won't stop a serious thief, but they should stop an opportunist from just walking away with your stuff.

Used to lock up skis and poles on a skiing trip. Worked really well but wasn’t long enough to go round skis and the ski rack. It would also be better if the locking mechanism was more secure as it would only take two pins to be pushed into the holes and the lock would come undone. The keys for the locks are also universal so any key could be used with any lock.

Really like these for an additional lock on the bike. Small enough to pack away in the rucksack without taking up room, and great for quick trips out where you don't want to take the big lock with you. I wonder if the combination lock might be a better idea, as you do need to keep tabs of your key for this! They're sturdy and haven't failed me yet.
