I always buy Hi-Tec trainers because of the fit - everyone else's size 10 is too small for me and size 11 is too big, but Hi-Tec size 10 always fits. Sizing on Amazon is initially a bit confusing as it seems to imply that 10 and 11 are US rather than UK sizes, but once the trainers are in your basket it clearly (and correctly) shows that they're UK sizes.Quality seems fine and they look good (although I also tried the grey version which just didn't look right). Styles do change over time (I used to wear Hi-Tec Badminton in the 80s :-) and sometimes when I need a new pair there's nothing quite right in the range...so I bought a second pair to tide me over just in case!

A nice pair of shoes but doesn't claim to be waterproof like the Hi-Tec Penrith (it seems). Overall, my own personal taste goes for the Hi-Tec Penrith which have a slightly nicer design yet have previously proven to be very good value, lasting longer than more expensive brands. I seen no reason why these shoes would not be any less solid. It may be of interest to note that I have previously been a bit of a brand snob. The price quality ratio of Hi-Tec however is making me increasingly loyal to Hi-Tec. Their CSR programme to help protect the Rhino is no bad thing either !

Comfortable, attractive trainer. I deducted one star because I needed to replace the original purchase because of a construction fault that resulted in the sued tearing near the stiching on the left toe. These things happen, and I haven't had any issues with other Hi-Tec products. The service from Amazon was great. I recieved the replacement quickly and was able to return the faulty item using the new box and pre-paid return label. Hopefully the new shoes will not suffer from the same issue. The replacements appear to have a more solid toe than the previous faulty pair.

I keep buying this shoe made by HiTec as it fits my feet perfectly in the size 9. Like all shoes thaey are subject to wear, especially of you keep wearing them continuously which I do these days (I retired and no longer wear black work shoes except for funerals - bliss). I find I can walk for hours in these shoes with no problems. I sometimes add a leather insole for extra comfort but usually this is not necessary. I should state that I have wide feet and there is no pinching with this shoe. I recommend this shoe.

Only had these a few weeks so a little early for a comprehensive review but so far so good. Comfortable, the heel rise is a little high to be idea (I prefer no heel rise and use zero heel rise running shoes). Laces do come undone because they are the round style laces. I do not like large ankle style walking boots so these are great alternatives. Would have liked it if the tongue was attached at its sides to prevent water and muck getting in but I suspect that is a feature of a more expensive shoe.

These Hi-Tec Boots are extremely comfortable. They are similar to the boot that I have had for 6 years. These are tough: indeed are still undamaged and good for years. They have been worn in all sorts of terrain. Sprayed with water-repellant they kept dry. But like all walking boots they now look grubby. So the new ones are for indoors and outdoor social events. They are more like trainers than boots, so look smart. The price is very reasonable. So in all, super value.

Bought these to replace a pair of Merrell shoes, yes they are not as good but for half the price they are just what I wanted. Ideal and very comfortable for walks around country parks and just been worn for a 3 day trip to Paris where I walked about 10 miles per day with no problems.If you are looking for shoes to walk in the dales, Lake District etc. the soles on these are too thin and would not support your feet enough.They are good for the price.

Comfortable and a perfect fit. Wanted something that was light at foot, but strong. This was a trial buy to ascertain if the size would go right bathe experience of getting to the shop and trying it on. But it did not take a moment more for me to get that smile back. A very good buy at the prize mentioned and with the exact right fit. I have to give a week to find out if the comfort sticks on after regular use. For now , I am a happy customer.

These are my every day shoes. Occasionally I have to buy a slightly different shoe due to product refresh, but I've been wearing these shoes for at least a decade.I swap out the inner-soles for ones with more arch support and I swap out the laces for elastic because I'm lazy. I wear them to destruction, which usually works out at about a year. I average slightly over 5km walking per day across an entire year. So nearly 2000km per pair.

My second pair of these shoes. Absolutely love them and you will not buy any shoe better for the same price. Quite waterproof to say they are not advertised as so. They last well (had the last pair for 15 months before they gave up) and wear them everyday for dog walking and going to work. I find them a good balance between a semi smart show with the practicality of a tough walking boot. Highly recommended.

I'm a great Hi-Tec fan and I bought these to replace a similar pair that wore out over a two year period. I think Hi-Tec are value for money, especially when you see the prices being charged by all the so called "top" manufacturers and I've used their products for more years than I care to remember. The quality is good, the price is reasonable and the variety of colours is normally pretty good too.

I was a little sceptical about purchasing these based on a couple of reviews but decided to give them a go. I usually buy a size 8.5, when available, but these 9's fit perfectly. Just need to wait to see now how they will hold up to every day, 3 miles of pavement abuse they will get doing the school drop-offs. If they do last a reasonable amount of time I will probably up the score to a 5.

I had brought Hi Tec walking shoes previously and found them to be extremely comfortable and great value, so I bought again.I'm a UK size 9.5 so expected the size 10 to be a bit on the large side.I also bought https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0855N5FC1/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_dXSJFb3JQ96Z6?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1and they are so comfortable and fit perfectly.

These shoes are slightly on the small side and I would hesitate to wear them for a very long hike, however as I have worn them in I have had no issues and there has been some give. I would say, on the small side for the size advertised. But for the money I paid, perfect for 2-3 miles in easy terrain or round town.

Third pair of these I have bought. Comfortable, slightly wide fitting, and extremely comfortable. Excellent value for money, I bought a pair of Jack Wolfskin boots and there nowhere near as good fit as these. The only downside is they wear a bit quicker, but hey for the money they are brilliant value for money!!!
