Think this is expensive? Just open the box and you'll see why. In fact it is extremely reasonably priced. So much detail, a lot of it best painted before assembly, as with many kits. The hull is almost the length of the box, so make sure you have somewhere suitable to work at it. You will spend a lot of time painting this kit as there is just so much finery. patience and a steady hand will be worth it. There are a lot of moulded fleur-de-lis on the hull, so be prepared for the long haul.For those like me, whose weakness is the rigging, here this not going to take years as only three sails.Beware, the instructions are in French with an abridged English translation. Not for beginers, very complex, imperative to study plans and parts and plan sequence, chalenging very rewarding open to adaptation

This builds into a stunning model. Not for the novice but after a couple of sail boat or ship kits it should be fine.
