Fitted this to a traditional English three-speed gents' town bike which, while perfectly rideable, had a slight practicality issue with the steering flopping all over the place once you're not riding (ie. pushing the bike, or parking, or loading shopping onto the rack).This was reasonably simple to fit, as long as you're comfortable undoing your front brake and putting it back on again (if not, have a workshop do it). It doesn't interfere with my large 1980s steel mudguard, which is a bonus. After fitting a Hebie bipod to my Surly Disk Trucker, I noticed a real problem with the front wheel turning completely round whenever I parked. This little product solved that problem very easily. It doesn't get in the way of steering either. I have only previously seen these fitted to Dutch bikes, but it works fine on my tourer.
