I was able to compare this to a very similar, but twice as expensive Brittax model. I am afraid that whilst this item is not bad, it is nowhere near as good as the Brittax in terms of construction or quality of materials; I accept that on the basis that the Brittax is twice as expensive, however, the real issue for me with this item is the weight. It is extremely heavy when assembled and complete, without being sexist, this is quite a handful to manoeuvre into the back of a hatchback. Yes I did manage it, but I think my wife or niece, who is the recipient of this item, will really struggle with it.The item was not fully assembled on arrival, unlike the Brittax, but assembly was not difficult and took me around 40 minutes,20 of which was spent looking at the diagrams and scratching my head. It wasn't too difficult, but the instructions could be better. Once assembled, the unit collapses very easily and I could fit it into the back of my wife's Dacia easily, but I could not fit it into the boot of my golf without removing the wheels. The description keeps on referring to the item being ultra-light, I beg to differ. Component parts are quite light, assembled it is a heavy piece of equipment. The design is very ergonomically focussed both for the user and the passenger; you can use the main carrier as a carry cot or through the simple realignment of a strap and reversing the main carrier as the seat for a pushchair. The interior is well padded and there is good protection for a baby or toddler from the elements. It is well padded and should provide maximum protection for a young child - in this regard it was better than the Brittax. Safety wise, 5 out of 5. It is easy to secure a child, with padded straps and a chest retainer to keep even the most restless child comfortably secure. Certainly any child will be kept snug and warm on the coldest of days, however, the component parts are removable and the units such as the foot muff etc can be removed to use on hot days too.We have tried this item in town and in the country. It is easy to manoeuvre around a normal town environment with the wheels being very responsive to minor adjustments in direction and very good in shops. We have also tried the unit walking up a steep gravelled track leading up from our house. Yes the unit has rudimentary spring suspension, but we were not that sure that apart from short journeys that it would be that comfortable to push or ride in - it is not an off road buggy, not bad though for occasional use "off road"..In terms of access to the child and for carrying small items, you can access the child through a flap in the hood and there is a reasonable amount of storage space with a container under the child. Is it worth the money and a good buy? Yes, I do think that it represents good value and will suit many families, particularly those on a tighter budget. The only concern I have is the weight of the unit, but if you purchase it with that in mind, I don't think that you will be disappointed.

A pushchair, car seat and carrycot, for the price of around £200 (at time of review), is a lot of baby vehicle for the money. But does it deliver, or is it more hassle than it is worth? The pushchair takes some assembly and is quite heavy when put together, at around 8kg, but not much more than other pushchairs, such as the (popular but more expensive) Maclaren XLR at around 7kg. The pushchair is easy enough to manoeuvre around and it is great that you can slot in a carrycot, car seat (but be careful not to leave babies in car seats for too long - it is bad for their backs), or normal upright pushchair attachment. My main worry with the pushchair is the longevity of those wheels - they don't look up to it for the long haul and I expect they will be the first thing to go.Where it also compares unfavourably with the Maclaren is ease of folding down - the Hauck is not an elegant thing to fold down and get in the boot, but it is perfectly doable and not so different to other similar styles of pushchair. The carrycot is great and serves well for the first few weeks of baby's life, after which they'll want to be sitting up and looking around. The car seat is also well made and easy to use.Overall, it is an amazing value pushchair set and I think the quality to price ratio is really good. I am not a big fan of the colour though - grey and dark grey is just so drab and boring - great if you want to blend in with the concrete and on drizzly days but there is already too much grey in the world if you ask me.

I'm an expecting mom and my friend bought this forme and let me tell you it is a life-changing. No need for a base for the car seat it can be used with the cars seat belt. No screws or heavy assembly required everything clicks into place. I can't wait to get to use this I'm very pleased with the sturdiness design and assembly! Quick delivery came 3 days early. Would highly recommend this to family and friends.
