Harder & Steenbeck is a Hamburg-based company which specialises in high quality airbrushes for professional artists. The ‘Evolution Silverline’ is one of the company’s earlier and most successful designs, and this premium product is now available at an affordable price.I have used Badger and Iwata, both of which were dependable and well-made, but the Silverline is in a different class altogether. The double-action trigger is very sensitive in controlling graduated paint flow from just an air blast to mass-cover paint spray, and is superb for fine detailing. The whole product just oozes quality.The airbrush is a breeze to clean and disassembles/reassembles easily. As another reviewer points out,

Wow! What a gorgeous tool. After buying a cheap combi set set for about £40 I thought I’d learn to airbrush my models. I thought I was not bad so when the compressor caught COVID & started wheezing & gasping for breath I upgraded to a newer better one. I thought the cheaper airbrush was ok but I wanted to upgrade that too so I bought this Harder & Steenbeck evolution. What a difference! This is like driving a milkfloat & then jumping into a top of the range Mercedes. I’ve painted 4 coats to the tank I’m building & unfortunately this airbrush has taught me my technique needs a lot of work & practice. Looks like I’ll be watching a lot more‘How To’ vids on YouTube.

Like all airbrushes, you need to care for it, and learn how it works - thinning of paint, pressure, etc. Once set up, it produces decent results - and I am no expert - and is relatively easy to use. I am using principally with Vallejo acrylic paints, and generally all is good. in the 'brush too long, especially in warm weather, can lead to drying and gumming up, but it is pretty easy to clean. Overall good value.I don't think any airbrushes are particularly easy to use, as they can be temperamental, so this one is as good as any and better than many I have used.

OK, so this ain't cheap but is good value for money. I bought a cheap starter airbrush before which only lasted a few months. This is a quality product. Came with a 0.2 and 0.4 mm needle and nozzle. Works great. Like all airbrushes, needs to be kept clean, and I do a full strip down and clean once a month. Be careful with the nozzles when cleaning, as I dropped mine and couldn't retrieve it so hard to buy a replacement which wasn't cheap.I would also recommend buying a quick release valve as this doesn't come with one, and saves a lot of hassle.

Got this as my second airbrush, had an iwata neo as my first airbrush which is good but nowhere near as good as this one. I did however purchase a pinch nozzle for this as I was constantly having to clean the tip because of it drying out all the time. Best thing I bought as now I don't have that problem as much and when I do its easily and quickly sorted. I'll be buying the way more expensive model they do once I get proficient enough to warrant spending that kind of money!

This airbrush produces a good range of sprays, from hairline to wide for mass coverage. My only issue is the nozzle cap which has holes in it, making it impossible to block of for "back blowing" air into the paint cup, useful for mixing paint and unblocking / cleaning.It is simple enough to change between nozzles / needles. Like most air brushes, it is tricky to clean and would certainly benefit from a set of pipe brushes and an occasional ultra sonic bath.

I am not going to go into detail about how good it is, but it is good. Others have listed the benefits of this airbrush and I have seen them watching Scalemodeller on You Tube who puts his to great use. I have two other airbrushes, one of which is a Badger airbrush I bought back in 1992. Still works, but is not working properly, hence I bought this one. Well worth the money if you have it, don't hesitate, just buy it.

This is my second Silverline 2 in 1, one set up at 0.2 and the other at 0.4. I use them for spraying model kits and would recommend them to anyone looking for German quality and affordability. The best thing of all for me is the ease of nozzle strip down for cleaning, no tools are required and I can strip and clean in 20 seconds. If you're upgrading from a starter brush you'll really appreciate the difference.

This is the brush I,ve been waiting on , I,m only a hobby modeller , no expert , after buying 3 or 4 cheap airbrushes I upgraded to an H & E Ultra , so impressed was I , bought another , but this brush gives amazing control and results . what`s more I can interchange all the parts from my Ultras ( Except paint cup ) so I do not have to buy different size needles .Delighted with this product.

Fantastic airbrush easy to use, quick to strip down and clean, feels well balanced and comfortable. Does a first class job.If your looking for quality look no further. Definitely worth the money.A++

nice feel to the airbrush, and does a nice job. ike the option of 2 cups. at my skill level I don't need the 2 needles sizes but this is only a benefit for the future as my skills improve :)

Worth every penny. So nice to use and because of its simplicity to clean you find yourself using it where you would have used a brush. It fits your hand perfect and the quality is superb.

Another top quality air brush. Beware, though, the photo shows the most recent version with a yellow box and paint cups covers. I got the older version which pissed me off quite a lot.

A really useful, easy to use airbrush. If I was buying it again, I would go for the model that includes the airflow control - I added that later and obviously this way it cost more.
