The recommended age for this puzzle is 18m but there is no way an 18months old child could solve this puzzle. It is great for shape sorting, colour coding and counting...Each shape has a different amount of cuts inside, e.g. the circles will only fit on one of the four pegs etc. You put it on, have to twist it and then half way through twist it again.Got it for our 2 year old, but she lost interest after she had a go a few times (due to the difficulty). We've only had it for couple of days, but overall I think it is a great puzzle. Just quite an advanced one.PS: Please don't tell me your 2 year olds can solve it. :-)

This is one of the best toys I've bought! My 1.5yrs old daughter loves it and frequently takes it off the shelf to play with. It's a brilliant all in one product that teaches about colors, shades, shapes, logic and the base itself is the jigsaw puzzle. And the best thing about it is the the little poles that pieces sit on are attached to the base by elastic band so if your little one falls over onto them they just fold over (so no scary poky wooden bits to hurt yourself on). It's also beautifully made, colors are bright and I highly recommend it.

Challenging for my 25 month old to get the wooden pieces off the pegs but that's a good thing! Each peg is actually made of plastic and bends at the base so that your child can't poke themselves terribly if they fall on top of it. The pegs also have two sets of knobs (one high, one low) to work the wood piece over. Requires dual dexterity in that the pieces must be simultaneously rotated and pulled upward to remove them. The base of the puzzle is also a puzzle though all the pieces are the same so you can put them together however you like.

really really pleased for work. I like the fact they come apart so you can just get children to work on one at a time-easier to build in success The rod is actually plastic and attached by elastic to the base which encourages bilateral movement.. Mine travels in a zip loc bag in a large suitcase thrown in and out of the car and is used most days in term time and is surviving well

This is a lovely unusual toy which really encourages thought and fine motor skills - the shapes have to be rotated to fit over the pegs. Bought for my 1 year old but actually enjoyed by my 3 year old. Lovely bright colours and a real feel of quality which I have always found with Hape toys.

My son was so happy when he saw the toy. He always asks for it when he sees it. He likes to play with the colorful tiles. He is only 1 year old so he finds it difficult to use all 4 poles, but he can manage to play with the single tooth pole, as all the pieces fit there easily.

Very interesting toy. My 21 months baby liked although she didn't fully get how to take those figures out of the base. I like it's quality and colours very much. We also appreciated extra safety feature of this toy.

Lovely toy for little ones to keep their brains active. Quite difficult to start with but with practice can keep them occupied for a while. Well made attractive toy would definitely buy for friends or recommend

We buy this product for our son of 18 months. Of course it is a little hard, but he walked and did not stop playing with the easy to know how it was. The four levels of difficulty are very good

I expected that toys are made in Germany, - but was given. it appeared. - China. Assembly qualitatively. I hope that material same durable, as the first about them impression. Thanks

To improve my sons motor skills and agility we use this product as game how fast he can put it together. He is able and fit but we wanted to sharpen his skills and challenge him.

Good on 2 dimensions. My kid also likes fitting the puzzle pieces together. Well designed with flexible pegs in case your kid gets frustrated with it and wants to smash it up.

My baby loves it! He plays with it from time to time and it's a great joy seeing him have fun with it. It's a great brain stimulating toy! I would recommend!
