This rather strange item is basically a strong gyroscope in a robust cover that, once it is started, you can keep going with rhythmic movements and twisting. When its running fast enough it is difficult to twist (which seems odd, since it is not attached to anything) but you can just keep it running at any speed you like for any degree of difficulty. Good wrist exercise for those needing it (like habitual keyboard users).You start this particular model with a short chord (two supplied) but it will keep going indefinitely after that. Some models have a self start thingy and even a rev counter (if you are competitive). Some offices have matches apparently.Personally I would buy the cheaper models because the non-exercise uses are a novelty that will probably wear off.

Love this and have imperical evidence that it works, bought it on the advice of my physio(not this specific one) after breaking my wrist and having a metal plate put in. Being right handed it is expected that my grip strength should be higher on my right, after my surgery it was way less than my left. Queue 3 weeks with this bad boy and now it's back to being way stronger, love it

the GyroTwister is nice and good but after i got my hands on a Powerball i noticed that the rotation of the ball is smoother in the Powerball then it is with the GyroTwister which results in extra noise.
