These things look quite nice, as you might expect, with a reasonably high RGB LED density under the light diffuser, two-tone heat spreaders and pleasing design. The memory itself is also high perfoamance, running at 3200MHZ with tight latency timings. Note that you will have to go in to your motherboard settings and manually set up the memory speed, either directly or through the XMP profile. Please note, however, that I run a Ryzen system - I wasn't aware of this before I made this purchase and had to do a lot of troubleshooting, but Ryzen systems (particularly 1st gen) do not play nice with high speed memory. After much tweaking and overvolting, mine runs stable but only at 3066Mhz.I am not factoring this in to my review score,as this was a lack of research and user error on my part - but if you are buying this for a Ryzen system, consider saving money and buying the 3000Mhz kit instead. Most ryzen systems flake out above a memory frequency of 2988Mhz or so, so buying a 3200Mhz set of memory is likely to not work properly at its rated speeds unless they are made specifically for Ryzen - which these are not.The silicon lottery does factor in to this, so you might be able to get high speed memory to work fine for you, but I could not.

I bought these to simulate flashing police lights in my computer (my theme being Blue Line to represent Law Enforcement). As you can see in my video, they initially worked great! However, they have been problematic since then. The software used to control it frequently crashes and does not save your settings upon shutdown. I have noticed that there is an attempt to do so, but between the crashes and frequent color changes, it isn't working. The problems didnt start until I synced it with my motherboard and GPU using Aura sync software, so it could possibly be at fault, but from what I've read this problem is widespread among anyone who owns these.Regardless, I still give the product a 4 out of 5 rating. They look great, and the coloring has a "liquid" aesthetic to it that in my opinion puts them far ahead of other manufacturers of RGB RAM. The Aura sync software needs a lot of work and fine tuning. The flashing effect shown in my video can no longer be achieved after syncing everything. Hopefully an update rolls out so that I can once again have flashing lights to complete the Blue Line/Law Enforcement touch.Oh, and just a heads up: They are a little tall on the motherboard, so consider that when choosing your CPU cooler.

wasnt planning on writing this review but have to say after installing this ram and getting it running full speed and stable im satisfied. didnt want to have to buy a new kit of ram but since my other set of ram from a previous build wouldnt run at its rated speed on my new motherboard i decided to look around for a new set and was suprised by the price considering how popular trident z is and i wasnt even looking for an rgb kit thats an added bonus i was just looking for compatibality and this did the trick. for people with ryzen cpus based off other reviews ive seen i would say this kit its probably70-80% likely to work for you though you do have to factor in variables like the motherboardbut trident z is know for its compatibilty with ryzen so you might be alright or if your unsure look for specific trident z kits with ryzen branding to be absolutely certain and if you happen to have an aorus b450 pro wifi board it will work for certain cause thats my motherboard

So first of all this RAM is fairly easy to install, as it should. Just make sure you place each DIMM in every other slot so that it runs in dual channel. It takes some tinkering with A-XMP profiles to get the advertised speed. Also, you may want to save the settings in BIOS first, shut down the PC, then start it again from a cold boot. Hitting Save and Reboot after increasing the RAM speed in the BIOS may cause a boot loop. Again, set the RAM speed in the BIOS, save settings, power the PC off, then power it back on again. Either way this RAM pairs great with Ryzen CPUs once you get it stable. Ryzen processors almost always have higher performance with faster RAM, even with more CPU cores and threads. This is also some of the most visually appealing RGB RAM on the market, and for less $100 at the time of purchase.Overall if you're looking for fast RAM to pair with any Ryzen CPU, I would highly recommend this.

I’ve never tried these RAM sticks before. Bought 4 sticks and installed them once they arrived. Turned on the power and my system booted absent problem, restarted and booted up with XMP 1. On purchase I knew they were Hynix sticks, yet my system was performing unusually better with those sticks, the difference pretty distinct. System ran smoother and I could open many chrome tabs without a single stutter. I went on Thaiphoon to verify the Ram’s manufacturer. The moment I clicked “Read” a bolt of lightening struck down from the heavens flashing through my bedroom window me. The echo of deafening thunder soon followed as a revelation was revealed to me. And the revelation read“Manufacturer: Samsung,Die Density: B-Die”Never thought I would get my hands on them, especially after they stopped producing them. And so I did what any rational person would and overclocked them.

Love this RAM. I've always had phenomenal luck with G. Skill products, and these are no different.Pros:- RAM is of quality build. Metal housing provides a solid feel. This RAM is definitely sturdy.- Solid clock speeds. Admittedly, I'm running a Ryzen 7 System that isn't able to capitalize on the 3200MHz speeds yet, but that's Driver/BIOS related.- RGB coloring is very aesthetically pleasing and the design is well thought out. Really accents the case/motherboard/etc that it's in.Cons:- My only con is the feeling of the RGB housing. The RAM itself has a metal housing, but the opaque plastic covering feels loose and cheap. I would suggest being careful when installing or messing with it and holding it by the metal, not plastic.NOTE: When I took the picture, I hadn't done much work with the RGB lighting when I took these pictures.

Easy as can be, synced with aura on first startup. Exactly what I needed for my rgb build.Running: Asus ROG Strix z370 e rgb moboI7-8700k cpuAorus 1080ti gpu6 Corsair LL RGB FansCorsair led stripsCorsair 240mm liquid coolingCorsair pro controllerCorsair 570x caseCorsair 850w gold psuI tried Corsair vengeance pro rgb but iQue gets into a fist fight with Asus aura over RAM slot rgb they are not comparable. I am now a g.skills guy for life.My entire rgb build only needs Aura and IQue for all of my light setting and they work very well together as long as you don’t get Corsair RAM. When I did try vengeance rgb pro it shorted out my mobo rgb but the ram did work.Seeing both up close and personal within the last couple days I don’t care that the Corsairs had a problem. These g.skills look even better

I see alot of reviews in here of problems with ryzen. Id like to remind people that such problems reflect on the board suppliers... Not the memory sticks. In review, the ram functions perfectly without issues. The rgb has great spectrum and the software functions well albiet a bit limited (but not anywhere near as bad as msi's or as buggy as nzxt awefull cam software) so 5 stars. As a note and food for thought of future buyers. If you're going for an rgb rig... Stick to the same or atleast 2 brands. Rgb software has to tap into some critical areas if the system so they are not always compatible with other software's.b and it seems that every company has their own. Im using an msu rgb board, nzxt cooler and fans with a hue+, and thevgskill memory. It was not fun getting it all working.

Works flawlessly with my Ryzen 7 1800X. Put it set the DOCP to 3200MHz and booted, without issues. I ran a stability test with AIDA 64 and several benchmarks. definite increase in performance was noted. I was using Corsair Dominator Platinum 3200MHz before and I could never get 3200MHz clock. On the one occassion I did get 3200MHz it wasn't stable. At first I thought I bought the wrong RAM, when I looked at reviews and Memory compatibility list for my board. Don't understand why it works it's the same SK Hynix model, and same timing used by the Dominators, but it just works.Corsair H115i Extreme AIOAsus ROG Crosshair VI HeroRyzen 7 1800X 4.0GHz32GB G.Skill TridentZ RGB 3200MHzAsus ROG StrixGTX 1080Ti O11GCreative ZxR sound BlasterSamsung 960 Evo 1TB

I got this kit (F4-3200C16D-16GTZR) to go with my Ryzen 1700, in my MSI x370 Gaming Plus board, despite the RAM not being on the QVL for the board, similar sets from G.Skill were. The RAM works with XMP perfectly. Simply slotted in to the board, fired up into the BIOS changed XMP setting and done, 3200mhz. Really simple to do if you know what you're doing in system BIOS. The RGB is nice with 5 addressable lights per stick. The software uses ASUS Aora software so easily ties in for those of you with an ASUS board. I saw a 300 point boost in Cinebench which is nothing to be sniffled at. Definitely will be adding another set come payday. The only downside for me,was not even a week after this kit dropped £15.

Using F4-3200C16D-16GTZR with a ryzen 5 3600x. 0 issue getting it to 3200 mhz using xmp and havent had a performance issue yet. Haven't tried to do any extreme oc with these yet.So far my only complaint is the rgb working can be sporatic. 7/10 boot ups both sticks glow and accept Mystic Light controlling their lighting. The other 3 times either one of the sticks just doesn't have the lighting turn on, one or both sticks are stuck in their default lighting mode, or both sticks accept the lighting profile but flicker white randomly.Overall very happy with the price to quality of these sticks but in the future I'll probably stick to g.skills slightly cheaper non rgb models and add a rgb heatsinkseparately.

As are plenty of PC parts, these are just fancy Lego pieces! The installation takes just a few minutes and you're off and running smooth as ever, just make sure they click in. I would check that your motherboard is able to use all 3000 Mhz of speed before buying, just in case. My old motherboard only supported up to 2300 Mhz, but these still worked, just at a lower rate. The software you can use to customize the lights is neat, but it uses a surprising amount of power and CPU usage. (I have 4 of these sticks and the software would use nearly 20% percent of my Intel i5-9600K Hexa-core processor for some reason, I just disable the software)

I'm not taking off any stars because of the fact that my mobo is limiting the mHz availability of these sticks as it is not something G Skill can do anything about. Other than that I have had no issues with these sticks and they have performed as good as could possibly imagine. They sync up for the most part with my iCue and look beautiful with my other RGB. I can put them under am extremely heavy load and I barely get up the 30% memory usage. Because of the issues with my mobo I will be redoing my RAM, however I will be getting 3000mHz rather than the 3200 but I will definitely get the G Skill and getting the 128 GB pack.

I purchased the G.Skill TridentZ RGB memory for a new computer build. I wanted relatively fast memory at an affordable price and I especially wanted RGB lighting. So this product was a good fit for my needs. I especially like the RGB effect. The default setting for the lights are bright and really light up the computer case. There isn't any real need for special software like Asus' Aura Sync. I'm happy with the default lighting effect. With respect to performance, the memory performs as advertised as determined by memtest86+ and other benchmarks. Overall, I'm very pleased with this purchase.

I bought two of these kits for 32 GB of RAM for my MSI Z390 motherboard and Intel 9700K CPU. These DIMMs look beautiful and feel sturdy, they're very well made. They're not the cheapest on the market, but they're excellent quality. No trouble hitting the advetised speed just by enabling XMP mode in the BIOS. Stress tested using OCCT, memtest, y-cruncher and some Doom Eternal for hours and they passed with no errors. RGB LEDs work as advertised and I can control them using my motherboard's own RGB lighting control software, which is very convenient. Highly recommended.
