Got two pairs of this G Skill ram after a swap out/refunds with Geil evo - both of which had a stick fail within 3 months in my two pcs!Apparently I was just unlucky as it isn't common supplier said.Like another punter said these ram sticks weigh a ton - they are also excessively high so forget about your first ram socket if you have an overhanging cooler.(even after removing the top red bit screws which I don't advise you to do because it doesn't go back together again properly on other reviews)I am NOT an overclocker and these sticks all run great at 1866 cl9 1.5v in my AMD Sabertooth and AMD Asus F2A85-M-Pro which is the processors proper speed @ 100/200 (about a month now)The latest AsusF2A85-M-Pro bios FEB2013 update now actually supports 3000+ ram speed when I checked the speed settings. The windows index measures ram 7.8 on my 8150 Bulldozer video editing pc and ram 7.3 on my Amd A10 5700 htpc/web browser whacking data thru at well over 7400/sec on the Sabertooth with no tweaking - stock bios/processor speeds. The better manufactured/faster speed of the G-Skill ram also knocked both the HTPC APU graphics thruput speeds up from 6.7 to 6.9 which was a lovely surprise and shows how greater ram speeds affect the APU GraphicsReason I chose these?Well I am hopefully going to upgrade the AMD processors by the end of this year, 2013 and they will both be designed to run at stock @ 2133/2400? memory speed(update - Kaveri specs announced, supports 2400 amd memory july 2013)- so thinking ahead with ram to match future upgrade.I also saw an overclocker test review that said the fastest data thruput speed got out of this ram is 2133 @ CL9- faster than running @ its 2400 top speed, so looking forward to future Amd APU/FX steamroller releases!!Paid just over a ton each 2400 pair which was the same price I got refunded for my old Geil 1866 ram although on cached search results I have seen this ram dip just below the ton mark. It has been shooting up and down in price like a yoyo recently.Suppliers apparently are shifting excess stocks they have been left with cos of the disappointing failure of Windows 8 release resulting in huge decrease of pcs/associated bits sold.

I have read some negative reviews about the RAM, but realistically you need to have the right motherboard that can support this as well as the right CPU.I am running an ASUS P8Z77-V LK with an Intel i7-3770K. Slotted the RAM in (Dual Channel set-up is the best for my board so 2 x 8GB are perfect), went to the BIOS configured for 2400 speed and checked voltages. Rebooted and it was working, my Windows7 WEI Memory performance index went straight to 7.9 on retest!Aesthetically if you have a case that has a clear window, they look utterly fantastic with the heat spreaders! So far no issues in running, no crashing nothing. So I would recommend the RAM,but to be sure first check your Motherboard specifications and also go on G.Skill's website and check the compatibility.

Recommended for dual channel desktop computer builds, when installed it will read 1333MHz but it better latency clocks than advertised but you'll have to overclock this RAMs in your bio's settings to 2400MHz which will then reduce your latency to advertised clock speeds so yes there is a trade off which i left at auto in my bio's settings. but at first when i overclocked this RAMs to 2400MHz my motherboard won't start up because it wasn't able to handle it and I had to reset my motherboard. Now only run it at auto but am sure i could get away with running it at 1866MHz but with slightly reduced latency clock of-course.note: lower latency clock reads is better than higher latency clockreads.

G.Skill Trident X F3-2400C10D-16GTX DDR3-2400 PC3-19200 8192MB X2 (16GB kit) Timings CL10-12-12-31 @ 1.65vCrazy Fast DDR3 RAM. Simple overclocks and is Stable at high frequencies. This Ram kit comes with a mean looking heat-sink spreader which can also allow for fitting into ITX motherboards as the heatsink does NOT protrude over the edge of the DIMM modules making them larger than the size specification. This DDR3 RAM kit will fit in the ASUS Maximus VII Impact ITX motherboard. Its simple to install, easy to open packaging. XMP profiles OR custom clock settings. Its all upto you how you decide to use this RAM. Works great at default or Overclocked.

This memory is excellent. Very fast and looks great when fitted.First set I had failed within a month unfortunately (PC would not boot, Memtest randomly failed on one stick, other stick was OK) but Amazon replaced the set without quibble sending me an advanced replacement which arrived as the others were picked up so my downtime was minimal. The new set have been working great since (had them just over 3 months now, touch wood......) and are performing brilliantly. With this set they it must be remembered to use the XMP Profile in the bios to get the best out of the memory.Great product and as always excellent customer service from Amazon.

Until you have installed these, you can't appreciate how fast they are. Couple them with a SSD and the programmes that used to take ages to load, come up instantly. And I mean instantly. Many boards won't recognise higher then 1333mhz straight out of the box. I managed to get 1600, but a single click on the UEFI settings to change to a faster profile and I'm seeing the full 2400. Really eaay, even for a novice.

Have upgraded recently my hole system I used to have 8gb G.Skill ripjaws and I loved them. Now these are way better runs at highers speeds with better latency. Just go to your bios and set them to 2400Mhz if it doesn't work just ajust the voltage to 1.65v. I have a MSI mPower motherboard and I just leave it on auto, but on some motherboards (asroack z77 extreme 4 for exemple) won't do without the adjustment.

Meddling with higher speeds won't net you tangible benefits. And anything slower in speed will be just that, slower, regardless of latency. Do your homework and read the benchmark comparisons. Pretty much the only DDR3 kits that are consistently better than these are 2400 CL9 kits. And those just cant be found anymore.

I am using this with my Asus ROG maximus extreme VI motherboard and I have them clocked to their peak. 16GB is all you really need and any more will just increase system load by spreading out the work. There babies are fast and efficient at doing the job even under super heavy load, well worth the buy!

Works great on Z87 and Z97 motherboards. Excellent build quality, Ive been buying G-Skill for years now and never had a single defective Dimm or any Ram instability issues. On the otherhand, ive had plenty of issues with other brands including repeat failures. Highly recommend this brand of Ram.

Gskill replaced corsair in my mind as the best RAM manufacturers out there some time ago - and these to red sticks of wonder prove that - one click of XMP and the full fat 2400mhz is up and running - and how they run - no more bottlenecks - my advice get 32gb of these and set up a RAM disk :)

Well what can i say about this ram other then it's fantastic! if you're looking for fast gaming ram look no further. =]Downside:Product was posted through the letter box of my door in a envelope NOT even bedded with bubble wrap. Lucky enough there is was no damage and works perfectly.

Tried this ram at various clock speeds, it delivered great timings at 1866 @1.6v - 9.9.9.25 & also good timings at 2133 @1.6v 9.11.11.29. Didn't try it higher than 2400 as my board doesn't allow me to go higher. Very happy with this ram.

fantastic rams, very fast and theres still room for overclocking (that is if your motherboard allows it), very weighty so you know they used the good stuff, the heatspreader looks really cool and is just amazing for the price!

Great memory highly recommended, the cooling finns aren't really needed but go with the rest of my case, this was part of my master setup and at some point I'll be complimenting this 16gb kit with another 16gb.
