I bought 8 of these to replace a mixture of halogens, CFLs and 1st-generation LEDs in my kitchen, and I'm very impressed.I've tried various LED bulbs, including the "high power 3x1W" ones, and these were the first that were bright enough, the correct colour, and a wide-enough beam angle. They are slightly whiter/bluer than the Halogens, but warmer than the cool-white CFL and cool-white LEDs.In terms of brightness, just WOW. I walked into the kitchen in the evening, turned the lights on, and almost burned my retinas off. I can't imagine these being too dim for you. It's worth pointing out the light angle is wider than halogens, which suits my use better. The only possible downside with these particular bulbs is that they look fairly cheaply constructed, and I've no idea what the lifetime will be like in reality. But for this price, they should pay for themselves within 12 months.

Bought this to try on the basis of earlier reviews and I have to say that I am not disappointed. Yes, it is not as bright on a work surface as a 50w halogen - possibly in part because the beam is not focussed by a reflective parabola. But it's pretty good for 3.5w consumption and will do for our purposes. If you wanted a bit more light you could always mix them with halogens. Importantly, the unit is standard sized - and is held properly by the clip in a what I regard as a standard GU10 housing. That is not true of the 6w 80-LED unit I also bought from Amazon as a comparison

I was somewhat sceptical that a 3.5 watt low energy lamp could replace a 50 watt Halogen. I have been pleasantly surprised. I replaced a 6*50 watt halogen array in a large kitchen with a high ceiling (3.3 metre) with 6 of these low energy lamps. The light is cast over a wider angle than the halogen so it's not quite as bright, but a plus is that I didn't need to carefully direct the lamps to limit shadows as I did with the Halogen lamps.

Well, i'm very glad! the bulbs are brilliants, the light is unite and clear. 5stars for this seller, and, of course, for this extraordinary product!

Having tried a similar led lamp from a friend I was impressed with the luminosity and the build quality. I strongly recommend this item.
