Being a mother of a five-year-old boy anything which includes bodily noises such as burping, farting or anything of that nature, sends him into fits of hysterics, so this game is perfect. It's a great way of teaching children about the benefits of healthy eating as you have to feed the cardboard gorilla the yellow junk food cards and collect the blue healthy menu cards on the individual boards.Is it fun from a child's perspective? Well, yes - my son's a huge fan at the moment and it appears to hold his attention for at least two games. Do I find it enthralling? Well it's ok really, although I would state that it probably doesn't teach children that junk food eaten in moderation is fine and dandy,

Bought this for my husbands 4 year old grandson. He is now 5 and plays with it regularly with his 7 year old sister. I think it's one of their favourite games as it's funny, entertaining and educational (to an extent!). The healthy food cards go on the board (as long as one has the corresponding picture) and the 'bad, unhealthy' foods get stuffed in the gorillas mouth. The gorilla is really just a cardboard box, with a gorilla shaped on the front, but children don't see the flaws we do. It makes a good hearty burping sound and is really the one game that can get them off the iPad. Well done Burping Ape!

Being a parent of three children, I have a lot of experience of buying and playing with different games and toys and have developed impressions of lots of the major toy brands and manufacturers. The Orchard Toys brand is one of the toy brands that I've grown to appreciate due to the consistent quality of their products.I don't think this is the best example of their games, however, and the game has quite a limited appeal in terms of ongoing play value. It is definitely a novelty game with the added 'burp' factor to appeal to little ones!

Greedy Gorilla is a big hit in our house. My kids love this game including my 30 month old boy. He needs a little help but he can play along with his older sister (4) and brother(7) without disrupting the game.The kids really love the greedy gorilla and squeal with delight when he burps after feeding him the junk food.The game is simple, easy to set up, and enjoyable. My 4 year old loves this game, so much fun with the burping gorilla and she is talking about healthy foods and junk food now which is brilliant. We live in Denmark and the danish side of the family are so impressed with these fabulous games we buy from England and the great thing is my daughter plays them in both languages which is also great for her vocabulary. Honestly I don't think you can go wrong with Orchard Toys games but read the descriptions as some sound very similar.

My girls 4 & 8 have been playing with orchard toy games for a couple of years. They love this one as the gorilla makes noises when he's fed junk food. Great for teaching little ones about what food is healthy and what food is not so healthy also good for fine motor skills as its a posting game. The boxes on these games are also great, they are very sturdy compared to some and a good compact size which makes keeping them tidy and packed away so much easier.

Squeal of delight every time the junk food tiles get put into the Gorilla's mouth as he does a burp and everyone has to say excuse me! Easy enough for under 3s to use and a hit with the childminder scene. I know it is similar to pop to the shops and shopping list game. But even the play groups use this toy for healthy eating and the kids do remember what is good and what isn't after using this!

We bought this for our daughter who is nearly 4, we are big fans of orchard toys and this is a really good one. you have to collect cards that match your board, if you turn over a junk food card you have to post through the gorillas mouth who burps in appreciation and all players have to say "excuse me" - it helps children realise what is healthy food and what is junk food.we love it.

My son bought himself this game with his birthday money as he plays it at preschool. He loves all the orchard games as he finds them very entertaining without realising how much he is actually learning.Fun interactive game for your little one and siblings nice way to bond.The money also makes noise which the kids thoroughly enjoy.

Another great Orchard game, this time each player is given a menu each and then have to try and get the healthy food to complete their menu but amongst the pieces are unhealthy ones which then have to get fed to the hungry gorilla who burps when fed. Good fun way of teaching kids how to eat healthy and recognising unhealthy foods.

Bought to use in a preschool after recommendation from a speech therapist. It's easy to use and the children play it on their own or in groups without adult help. They love the burping gorilla. Great for turn taking, communication and language skills as well as finding out about what foods are healthy and what's not.

This game was purchased for my 2.5 yr old so he could join in with the rest of the family. He loves it,and its a fun way of getting over what is good to eat and what is bad. I think orchard games are the best, they are simple and yet very educational and it does not matter what age you are you can enjoy them.

This game kept me sane with my 3 year old during lockdown. He absolutely loved it. Only slight criticism is that the gorilla’s mouth isn’t that sturdy and of course my son wanted to put all the cards in (not just the limited junk food cards) and this has caused the gorilla to become damaged.

As usual, Orchard Toys have come up trumps again! bought this for my 3 year old son and both him and his 6 year old brother love this game. Instructions are easy and the boards are well made and colourful. Hours of fun and the Gorilla burps when posting the junk food through his mouth.

Grand children love it, so does the mummy of the household!! Bought it for Christmas, first one broke easily though, but was refunded the purchase price.. Then I ordered from Amazon, cheaper! Works! Everyone happy! Children wanted it again so shows it is worth considering to buy..
