A wonderful very well made SIM.It was easy too inflate - Just undo the valves and wait a short while - Even inflated well on first use.Very comfortable to sleep on - being 198cm long (10XW version) 76cm wide & 10cm deep with a soft comfortable surface - Using it is like lying on a firm bed, although you can make it softer by letting out air whilst you lies on it. I am 6'5" tall, 16st in weight & had a very peaceful nights sleep on this huge SIM. No more sore hips & sleepless nights on useless mats.We attached it to a second 10XW SIM using an EXPED Coupler Kit (just fits) & created a king sized camping bed - Definitely Glamping!Make sure your tent compartment can fit such a huge bed as 2 of these may be too large for some.Very easy to deflate due to the 2 valves - Simply undo the valves, fold the SIM into 4 & push out most of the air, unfold again, roll the mat up, close the valves, secure with the 2 provided elastic straps & place back into the large carry bag - It could not be easier; The whole process took about 2 minutes. I do not understand others who found deflation difficult. To top it all it was very reasonable in price compared to some of the well known brands.A highly recommended SIM for anyone who likes a bit of comfort whilst camping.

I bought the 10cm thick version. It was delivered promptly and efficiently by an excellent courier service within 24 hrs. I've unwrapped it and waited 15min or so till it inflated fully and then with a couple of pillows I tried it out. So comfortable! I have a bad back after suffering a slipped disc and was really concerned about the comfort, hence purchasing the 10cm version. No complaints so far :-) Not had the chance to spend the whole night on it but I have no doubts it will be perfect for me after my little test drive. This 10cm version is a little bulky and probably not that good for a back packer, not that it weighs too much, but I'm sure that the thinner versions available would be fine for backpacking,I just needed the extra comfort this 10cm provides. I'll update the review after my next camping trip.

A really good nights sleep.....I'll start off with the lost star - This mat is HEAVY (the 10cm deep one). You can't realistically trek with it, or even carry it very far from the car, if you've got other stuff to carry too.As a bed however, it is fantastic - Truly self inflating (I got the 10cm deep one), but only if you can leave it unravelled for at least 15 mins or so. Just takes a few puffs to top it up and the screw tight valves don't let anything out, even with my considerable bulk applying pressure.Soft, supportive, insulated and very luxorious camping. Also a great spare bed for home - Knocks sleeping on futons and fold outs into a cocked hat.If I had a small studio or something,I would even have one as my main bed if space was at a premium.

Replacement as 1st one had a faulty seam but this was a fuss free undertaking. The replacement version is excellent firm and comfortable, a great nights sleep. Much warmer and so much quieter than the airbeds that I have used.I was slightly doubtful that this type of bed would be okay for me and when rolled the bag is too bulky for backpacking, (as expected) but I only glamp from the car. When unrolled the extra thickness is great and I was very pleasantly surprised at the comfort level for the thickness compared to an airbed.I expected my bones to bump into the ground as happens when an airbed loses air but this is never the case. All my fellow experienced campers were impressed and I wouldrecommend this to anyone.

This review is about the 10cm thick version. This is a big camping mat. Really big. Really really big. Its bigger than my tent when rolled up.It is, however, really comfy, really really comfy. And warm.I've used inflatable air beds and this is as comfy as them and significantly warmer. It inflates itself fine if you give it time and packs up easily if you bully it and take it slowly. If you are going car camping I'd recommend it, it's the most comfortable sleeping arrangement I've used in a tent, if you are hiking camping look elsewhere.

I bought this with the intention of seeing if I thought an Exped would be worth having - I’ve still got this and have had no issues whatsoever using it straight on the ground in the woods. The only disadvantage is I’m now often too hot in my three season sleeping bag with a bivvi bag, even when it’s literally freezing. It is a bit of a monster to carry, but not much bigger than much more expensive versions. The only improvement would be a one-way deflate valve to make packing it easier, but this is very minor.

Have not slept on yet, hope it will be better than airbed. Son said it reflects heat back - good if cold, not if warm. Will update after camping.Very comfortable. Now deflating on use so will have to search for a puncture.Quality seems sturdy and it inflates in good time. Added a few breaths to make firm, again easy. Heavy 10cm not one to walk far with.

Update 2020. This is still a very good camping mat, but now I’m getting older I’m thinking of a bit more depth for comfort. Nice mattress, but it didn't want to inflate after leaving it all night, so I blew it up manually to three inches and left it in the sun, then blew it up twice more and got up to 4 inches. Now it inflates by itself.

very comfortable (we believe on a real mattress) Easy to use (two valves for deflation) bulky (rolled and flat, the width is 75 cm and therefore two mattresses are 150 cm, wider than a fitted sheet or that the room of the tent)

I spent a very comfortable 8 night on this mattress (and I get black and blue if there is a pea under a hundred ordinary mattresses! ?). I was very surprised that a mattress of this thickness could provide so much comfort.

Taken to Glastonbury 2014 to help my bad back (I'm over 50), it worked a real treat, I was surprised how comfortable it was. The 10cm thickness helped, as did the width. I also took a real pillow with me!

Arrived on time. Expands to just under 10cms on its own.Very comfortable. Couple of the best nights sleep for a long time.Slightly difficult to put away when inside a small tent.

This item was delivered on time and works as expected. if you open valves and leave it flat for a while then it will inflate more easily and you can top it up if like a firmer bed.

Wider than our Gelert XL. nice and wide for me and with our old one fits nicely in our tent pod. Plenty of thickness and so far so good. Slept 5 nights on it so far.

Didnt take too long to inflate. I thought it would inflate a bit more but its comfortable. It was easy to roll up and put back away.
