My cordless phones started to play up so I bought this. Its a replica of the real thing. Granted its not as heavy or solid as a genuine 746 but to look at, its hard to tell the difference. Even the ring sound is exactly the same as the original.[ Yes its sad but I found a video of the real thing on You Tube} A real mechanical bell by sounds of it. It even gives a little "ting" when the handset is replaced. After years of press button phones it was strange to actually have to dial a number.

This does exactly what it was designed for... making and receiving calls. It has brought with it some nostalgia and a reminder of how simple life was before the onslaught of technology. As it is corded it does not impact on the energy bill and also contributes to a little exercise when having to move to answer it. The only addition to this phone, and all other phones, that would be welcomed would be an obliterate button for all scam/marketing calls.

Like this because I had same design and colour so nostalgic. Sound okay. Bit light when dialling as can move so not that easy. I do not like the gloss, reminds me of toy phones my children had. Would be a better phone if heavier and Matt finish. Not that cheap so would expect better quality. Sti8like it though as modern features are In it. No caller display unfortunately but that's its period style. Great if you want a very simple phone.

I absolutely love this phone. So many things from the past were better thanthey are in the present digital world and this telephone is a fine example. It has a traditional ring and a solid handset .I love the dial and find it much easier to use than a push button model . I love the style of this phone, in fact I love everything about it. So if you miss the quality and style of the past then you will simply adore this telephone.

fantastic telephone to have if you have the memories of the 1970s easy-to-use doesn't have redial and you need to go all the way down to the end of the dial to connect up a ringtone is loud the looks of old-fashioned and and it reminds you of the old 70s and it makes you smile if you want to go back in time this is it

Bought this after considering others from antiques shops..which were higher priced!Not disappointed in the slightest..kids took some time in getting used to the dial but I love it..bit faster at coming back around to zero as i remember but altogether a lovely stylish phone that everyone notices in my home.

Does exactly what I need it to do. A nice cool looking phone not a horrible black cordless thing that gets lost. This is in case my kids need to contact me in emergency and means I don't need my mobile on constantly or nearby. Very happy with it and nice clear old fashioned ring (no daft ring tones)

I love everything about it except its weight. It's too light! I have to hold it in place while I use the rotary feature so it doesn't move, and if you pull the cord the whole phone goes flying! It needs to be weighted better. Apart from that it's exactly what I wanted and looks beautiful.

Does what it’s intended for, it’s a little lightweight, starts to move as you dial, but Velcro sticky things sorted that out, could benefit from a volume control as it’s a bit quite in the headset. Kids love it, although it was fun watching them use it for first time!

This phone is easy to use and very lightweight. No special features, it is not push button, it is a full dial system so may not be suitable for those with hand difficulties/arthritis etc. Quirky if you like that sort of thing, we brought it as it fits our lounge décor.

I laughed in hysterics when I read the reviews and questions where people couldn’t get this phone to dial out!! It dials out fine- you just need to know how a rotary phone works. It works great, is a perfect retro addition to our Victorian house, we love it

love this phone it does give a couple of faint tings on the bell for no reason every now and then not sure if it`s a fault or the line but i have come to like it.It has a clear ring and is great and very clear to listen on.I love my GPO746 vintage Phone.

Well wasn’t sure whether to buy this or not due to the reviews I had read but I’m well happy with it, the only reason I have given it 4stars is I’m not sure whether when you replace the receiver the ting of the bell is suppose to go like it use to ?

This phone looks fab 1970's look loud ring tone looks fabulas a talking point when anyone pops around old fashion dial brilliant quirky and fun ordered online delivered to my local sainsbury within 4 hours brilliant

Great phone, very sturdy. A great talking point that actually works. I had been told these could be light and unstable when dialling, but this sits tight. This takes me back to my childhood phone, and I love it!
