I have had a pixel since the launch, and on the whole, every iteration has been an improvement, I've never experienced any issues. Until now. I regret buying the 4xl, I had owned the 3 XL, and only changed due to the hype. I found the loss of fingerprint ready a major downside, very few apps have adopted the face unlock, which is buggy and slower, and, following mic issues, I'm on my second handset. Stock android is buttery smooth, insane refresh rate, awesome camera, not enough to upgrade!!

It's a great mobile if someone is looking for pure android experience and instant software updates from Google. Awesome camera, additional super wide angle camera would be the best one to have though. For some reason the portrait mode still uses the main camera and crops for 1.5x rather than using the telephoto lens. Only reason for me to select XL was due to the additional battery capacity when compared to Pixel 4. Myself being average usage, battery lasts just over 5hr of screen on time.

Pixel has never been class leading on specs but are always the smoothest android to use. I like the practical design which means you can use it without a case as its not slippery. Battery life has been pretty decent which means you can easily go through a day of usage with 5-6hr SOT. Buyers looking for features should look towards the galaxies. However if you want the best android experience then this phone is for you. I have iphone 11pro max also but i like using the pixel more.

If your looking for a clean google experience then this is your choice of smartphone. The pixel 4 line up of smartphone is a fantastic choice for people looking for an experience other than IOS. The haptic engine provides a very refined user experience throughout the operating system. This amazing hardware and software choice coupled with one of the best smartphone cameras in the world right now makes the Pixel 4 an easy choice. The only down side is the unremarkable battery life.

I have been a die hard Samsung fan but missed the pure google experience since the Nexus 5 and so switched from the galaxy S9+ to the Pixel 4 XL.First thing I would like to clear about the battery life of the Pixel 4 XL is that it easily lasts me from 6am to 10pm easily with moderate use Around 5 Hours Screen on Time (even with forced 90 htz via developer options).The only battery draining apps for me have been Twitter and facebook and if you have too many location apps on.

ProsI am pixel fan, was using pixel 2xl,just for a change brought Samsung note 10 plus, but felt its not worth for the money so brought 4xl after 3monthsstock android features Great camera Screen is awesome with 90Hz refresh rateMotion sense is coolG suite is awesomeCons - battery should have been better, Motion sense needs improvement So my opinion is you will love Pixel 4 xl, if you want to enjoy the stock Android and camera, with smooth experience and design

The Pixel 4 XL has exceeded my expectations. If you don't mind the lack of a wide angle lense this is the best android phone on the market. The software and 90hz screen is the best aspect of this phone. You won't find the 90hz alongside an IP certification, wireless charging, amazing speakers and camera on any other phone. As for the face unlock, It works 100% of the time and I don't mind the top bezel because of how convinient the unlock process is. The battery is also solid.

Brilliant phone, with some new tech and options. It has the best smart phone camera I've seen so far!Phone operations is so smooth and you can even customise too.It's new features are cool and dead handy, Google assistant is even improved and understands every word without flaws.It doesn't have fingerprint recognition, but the face recognition is so accurate and only opens for me.I was able to buy it over 12-months too with an Argos card.

Switching from IPhone 7 plus to a Google pixel.The battery life is so much better on the Google pixel. The camera is out of this world, even if you zoom into a photo you have taken you can see all the details for example: when zoomed in you can see all the little hairs on the plants. Just like you are looking at it in your garden. This phone has exceeded all of my expectations. I would 100% recommend this phone you will not be disappointed.

The phone is really good. I really like Pixel phones and think that the software is the best version of Android. I also think that Android is far better than ios although I suppose that's a matter of personal preference.The camera is also really good and the battery is decent. They are too expensive but that's the same with all phones and is an issue with the manufacturers, not Argos. Service from Argos was good as always.

Always pick up the latest Pixel phones so this one was a guaranteed purchase and I've not been disappointed the phone is superb buttery smooth and lag/stutter free. I chose the 64GB version as I use Google drive and have a Google 1 subscription so I store everything in the cloud. The camera is absolutely fantastic! A wide angle lens would have been nice but you can forgive it as it just performs so well in any condition.

Please don’t take this as a criticism of Google - I’ve owned their products before and this is not one of the better ones. The upgrade from the Pixel 3a XL is incremental and not worth spending the money on.Yes it’s fast and has decent cameras but they don’t blow you away for the money spent. The iPhone, Samsung S series and Huawei hold that trophy. If you’re a Google fan I’m sure you’ll be happy - I’m not.

All-rounded great device.Great camera, better than average display quality, outstanding UI experience thanks to that 90Hz display (which is much better after the updates), and probably three years of software updates. Also, dual-SIM with eSISM.The only problem was the price. With minimalistic hardware, it was still almost £800 after the £150 cashback.

Excellent phone, really happy with it. If you like android, you'll love this phone. Just has the little extra that other android phones don't have. (I've had all the major makes) this blows them away. The camera is really good. Only downside is no micro SD slot, but with Google storage and opting for the bigger storage this isn't a problem.

I've had all the Pixels minus the the first one, as I kept my Nexus. This is my first XL version and it doesn't disappoint. Definitely get this over the smaller one, if you value battery life. A wee tip to make it last even longer is to stop it searching for Bluetooth and WiFi - the standby time is phenomenal when you do that.
