Age of chld bought for : 3 years.I bought this for my son, who picked it out in a games shop. He loves animals, has seen diego go before, but doesn't watch it so much. Turns out it doesn't matter - he loved it!PROS:-Great if you child loves Diego or animalsand is under 5. My 3 y.o. got the idea of the game and controls within about half an hour.-Easy controls to master, most things can be done with simple in game motions and pressing the '2'button, no numchuck required.-Promotes learning (to a degree) promotes fun more though!-Really well put together game, presented well and has been playtested by Nick Jnr games on children.CONS:-A bit short. My boy doddles about through it and finished it within a couple of hours when he got the hang of it.If you can pick this up for about a £5 - £7 your child should get their moneys worth. My boy loves it and has put about 4 hours in so far, playing it again to help specific animals.

My recently turned 3 year year old loves Dora and Diego and so I thought it was time to try this. He really enjoys it and its nice to see a game for his age group with decent production values. He can control the movement of the character mostly but sometimes struggles with the fine movement. Also he needs assistance at the moment with some of the more advanced movements like digging or pumping up the hot air balloon but he will get it soon. Its not especially long and repetitive but to be honest, that's what kids like. Its not a game for a parent to play - its a game for a kid to play on a parents knee until they understand it more thoroughly. Its great for fine tuning motor skills and I like that you cannot die in it,and do not kill any one. So.. recommended as a good intro to games for 3-4 year olds with a parents help and I would imagine 5-6 years is around the top age group that would play with it.

This game is really good for very young players, 3 or 4 years of age. 5-7 would probably enjoy it too, although they would probably find it quite simple to complete. The controls are easy for them to master, not requiring too much motor skill, and it is impossible to fall of a cliff or into a river, the game just hangs you on one leg balancing until you move again. This is excellent for young players, who tire quickly of falling off and starting again.I also like the badge feature, which means there is something to work towards, but a badge is rewarded for the main task in each section regardless, so little ones feel a sense of achievement, and don't feel disappointed if they don't get the harder race and ride badges.Recommend for anyone with a young child who looks enviously on at older siblings and parents playing the wii, but can't master any of the games.

We bought this as a first game to introduce our 4 yr old into the world of Wii. Its perfect for that - its 1 player so gives them confidence and is very forgiving - you cant die, you can afford to miss collecting a few things and its very self explanatory so i was only needed once to help -perfect - its not supposed to be hard for a 4 yr old and they learn by repetition. He completed it over 2 sessions in about 2 1/4 hours but really wants to do it again. It has 3 saves on it and he seems to think he needs to complete it in all 3 so we are not going to discourage it. We got this for £15 for his Christmas and it was well worth it - would definately recommend it at around £15 - £20.

This is an excellent game for the very young player. The controls are very simple, using only movements of the wiimote and the '2' button. Guidance is clearly given throughout the game, and an adult can use a second remote to help when the gameplay is a little harder. Having said that, my two-year old son (nearly three) has coped without problems. The storyline is pleasantly presented, and badges can be collected throughout the game depending on performance. It reads 'Child Tested!' on the back of the case, and that is very evident in the user-friendly controls and unthreatening gameplay. There is also a team-based two-player mode, which, though limited, is good as a diversion.

I purchased this with the new Ben 10 game for my Ben 10 mad 5 year old.To my surprise it was this game that caught his attention. It's very basic as you tilt the remote to move and press 2 to interact and jump. The graphics are also basic but it's all very colourful and pleasant to look at. It's all very nice and sweet yet there's still enough to do and its a decent enough platformer to hold a a littluns attention. It was nice to see him enjoy a game that wasn't based on superheroes or monsters for once. Very impressed.

We bought this for my 5 year old son, I was worried it would be a bit young for him, but as we have only recently purchased a wii it seemed a good place to start, My son loves Diego and this game is his favourite, it is very easy to use and navigate around, he completed it in an afternoon, but cant wait to play again, the graphics are bright, the story line and actions easy to follow and is supported by characters like th emoneky brothers etc, a good well priced game for a beginner or die hard Diego fan.

5 stars well deserved. My 3 year old loves this. She has only recently started to play wii and games we had were too difficult so got some younger ones including this. She thinks its great and mostly manages herself but sometimes have to help but think its more a confidence thing! The game is definetely suitable and tells the child what to do rather than a writen.instruction and asks them questions and encourages thinking.Quite educational.Definitely would recommend.

I got this game for my 4 children aged 4, 6, 8, and 10. The younger 3 love it and because you travel through different sections it's easy to get them to share. Controls are really simple and its a game my daughter with down syndrome can play without any trouble. My children completed the rescue pretty quickly but they are more than happy to start again. Can't get the 2 player mode working though!!!!!!!!!

I purchased this along with the Dora the Explorer Snow Princess for my 3 year old son, for when it's raining, and he loves them both. I did wonder how he would use the controller, but it's so simple. There is no need for buttons, it's all in the wrist and arm movements, and he really loves interacting and jumping up and down with Diego. Like the Dora game, it's very addictive and I also enjoy playing it.

I got this game for my girls as most of the ones we've got for the PS2 are way above their heads. They enjoy playing it, but get bored after about 10 minutes which is fine by me. At their ages (2 and a half and 3 and a half) I don't want them to play for too long anyway. It certainly ticks all the boxes for younger kids.

We are new ti WII & DS games but have found that there are not many games for non readers. I got this for my 3 year old guided by the reviews and have not been dissapointed he can play it on his own and enjoys it greatly. All the instructions are spoken so the children just have to listen.

I bought this game for my 4 year old, I think this is more appropriate than shoot em up games and wrestling games he usually plays with his dad. It is educatinal and fun for my little one who has never had it off the wii since he got it. Full marks from us all.

This game has been a huge hit. My step son has been moaning that his Mum won't let him play the cool games his friends play (they're rated 16 and he's only 10...) but he thinks this is totally cool! Lots of fun and not complicated so no arguments! Very happy.

I bought this game for my 3 year old son for his birthday. It keep him very occupied and he enjoys the animals in it and driving the car. I recommend it for other young boys interested in games also quite educational with what animals do.
