I'm the victim of inheriting some big, wide, odd-shaped feet with a bunion and cramped toes on the right foot. Biking for many years but never really found the right clipless bike shoe & resorted to toe cages & sneakers, which I dislike. If you are in my camp, these shoes could be your ticket, as well.I'm a 13.5-14, EE width, clod-hopper, depending on brand and need room or flex on the right bunion area. Figured I give this new type knit shoe a shot. Well the 48's couldn't fit more perfect. Plenty of toe room on top & at the tips so they wiggle freely. Knit has the room and the give I need on my right bunion. (Note the bunion bulge in the photo) Big plus is full laces, which allows looser at toe and tighter at the ankle.Looks like over time this knit will take on the exact weird shape of my foot. They walk around and clip in comfortablly. Knit is new to me but so happy I pulled the trigger on these Giro Republics.Going to buy a backup pair or two, as often when the bike shoe gods smile at you the manufacturer discontinues.

These are some excellent bike shoes! Bought as a more stylish and more performant SPD shoe than some clunkier ones I was using, but it turns out they're also just as comfortable while weighing less, being more stiff, and looking more dope! I was worried about the classic laces originally, but after several rides it doesn't bother me at all, they stay pretty tight and the aesthetics are super nice.A bonus feature is they're less clicky/grindy when walking than most SPD shoes. Not totally silent, there are still occasional noises on some surfaces, but less than any of the 4 other pairs of SPD shoes I've had experience with though.I didn't like the insoles they came with so I swapped them for broken-in insoles from another pair of shoes. The original ones might be fine after breaking in though.

really great shoe! not narrow for a normal foot. if you buy wide shoes then buy wide bike shoes. you can see thru the mesh, thats how airy they are. the inside is swede and breaks in very nice. i wore 2 pairs of wet sox the first 2 rides to break them in and just sweat after that, about 150 miles and they disappear from your feet. there is a strap on the tounge for the lace loops, but tucking in is just as comfy. if ur on the the fence, get them and ull be happy, true to size btw. im always an 11.5, got a 46, perf.

These shoes were on my wish list for a while, and I worried they wouldn’t be supportive enough as a knit, but turns out to be plenty supportive! They look like they’re just a sock but underneath is a nice stuff frame and sole. The laces are slowly getting into the perfect groove, and once that’s done these will be my favorite shoes. The ankle padding is really great, but I tied too tight the first few times and got tingly, so that was one thing to figure out for me.

Like another reviewer, my feet have had a hard existence. Left foot has had 3 broken bones, right only one. It is hard for me to find a comfortable shoe, much less a biking shoe. But, these are very comfortable. The upper is breathable and conform to your foot. Better for hot, warm temperatures -- the ventilation is great. Using with Shimano PD-M520L MTB pedals on a road bike.

I ride these any time I'm on my endurance road bike, whether commuting to work or on a 60 mile fun ride. The quality is great, they are much more breathable than shoes with a solid upper, and are of course walkable. I bought a half size larger than a perfect fit for me so I have room for thick wool socks in the winter.

The Giro Knit's are the lightest, most comfortable cycling shoes I've ever owned. Being a lace up they're not quite as snug as a Boa shoe but I'll give that up in favor of the impressive lack of weight here. I like that the metal cleat doesn't grind when I'm walking around town in these. Great shoe.

Very elegant and comfortable model, taken at 42 for a 25cm foot and it's perfect. The wedge does not touch the ground when walking so not noisy, ideal in velotaf. Not tested in the rain ...

These shoes have been great so far. Comfortable, quick drying, and look good too.I would say that the size chart is bogus. Order 2-3 sizes up or they won’t fit. It’s my only gripe.

Very fashionable, comfortable, cool as they breathe. I am able to walk in and out of my house with no ground contact from the cleat. Great show so far.

This is better substitute to Giro Empire as im using MTB pedals. Lightweight and well ventilated shoe. I like the old school looks of this laced shoe.

Awesome shoes to use even when it’s rajning. I’ve used these bows when it’s been raining , hot or snow. They are amIng to use and hard to break in.

Very good power transmission when cycling. The shoe convinces when running due to the very pleasant rolling behavior despite SPD cleats.

They are very comfortable and with a discreet design for urban daily use. I use them every day to go to work and this is very happy.

Well, nice and cheap, the best thing is that when you get off the bike and walk on the street they look like normal shoes
