I've had this controller for a couple of months now and I couldn't be any more impressed with it. I've been an Xbox gamer for around 5 years and I recently purchased a PS3 and I could not get used to the PS3 standard controller. The position of the thumbsticks on the Gioteck are in exactly the same location as the 360 pad and feel completely natural rather than the rather awkwardly positioned PS3 sticks. The buttons feel great and the triggers are perfectly positioned. Some reviews on here make reference to a dead zone but I have not experienced this at all. I've been playing GT6 and other race games and not once have I felt that the stick has hit a dead zone. The weight and feel of the controller is superb. It really is the best controller I’ve used and that includes the official 360 controllers which actually feel really heavy now in comparison due to the weighty plug and play battery packs.I will also add that whoever created the battery for this controller should go and work for a major mobile phone company as the battery life is AMAZING!! I think I’ve only had to charged it up twice since I’ve had it and believe me I’ve had some lengthy gaming sessions. If I had to find any faults then I would say that its a shame that it doesn't turn on the PS3 when you turn on the controller. Not sure why but at least I get some exercise going over the console to turn it on before a session. You can turn off the PS3 via the controller though so you only have to move once per gaming session.Another very minor criticism would be the length of the charging cable, its only about 1M long. The good news is that you can use any other micro B USB lead which you get pick up for about £1 anyways.Highly recommended and if they decide to make one for the PS4 then that might just sway me away from getting the Xbone.

I have to admit I was very worried upon purchasing this controller as the console I own has a non-rumble controller and I was not prepared to spend £30-£45 on an official pad as the console I have was a repaired unit that I repaired myself. Anyhow, I purchased the controller on a bank holiday and received it extremely quickly which was a very nice start.Upon opening it I was greeted by a very pretty and ergonomic looking controller which has a rubberised texture to aid with grip and a very nice pattern design which despite the rather bright red on dark black and grey (which I might add I adore!) is very easy on the eye. The controller itself is amazingly sturdy, the design is not at all far from the excellent Xbox 360 controller and the analogue sticks are precise and extremely well built. The buttons on the controller are very nicely placed with the face buttons such as X O Triangle and Square are very easy to press and have a quality feel. The bumper buttons are also very soft and easy to press while the trigger buttons are stiff yet offer enough give to make them comfortable to use. The D or Directional Pad is excellent, far better than the aforementioned Xbox 360 pad which had its Achilles heal as it's D pad.The surprising thing about this pad too was the fact it came with both a charger lead which is a very nice addition and a USB adapter which means it can, as far as I can fathom, be used on a PC as well. That was a surprise and a welcome one at that as it adds value to what is already a very good buy!All in all then I would highly recommend this controller. It has all the features of an Xbox 360 Pad and is an excellent price all rolled into the fact it works on PS3 and maybe even PC!

This is advertised as a ps3 controller though we all know that it also works with PCs which is a beauty!I'll start with the cons because they are not many:- The main issue I had with this controller was that the metallic rings they have on the analog sticks slot. They are glued and at the bottom for what I can only assume are cosmetic reasons. I like how it looks but one keeps popping in and out of place as the analog stick is moved and makes an annoying sound. Nothing a tiny bit of super glue won't fix, and it'll be unoticeable. The pros:- It's wireless!- It's wireless and rather cheap- The build quality is good, the buttons are easy to press and feels good on the hand.- Has the ability of having 2 customisable buttons and it contains the turbo feature. It came well packed and fast and works as advertised. Comes with the USB bluetooth adapter, the usb cable for charging, some easy instructions for the turbo and customisable buttons and it's all packed in their own little bags, which I quite appreciate, so I can keep each bit in their own bags for easy storage and it comes in a red box where it all fits inside, great for having it all in one place well packed. For a rather cheap and well built controller alternative for the ps3 or PC I would definitely recommend this product. It has a great build quality and seems as if it'll last for a very long time!

Was a bit different to handle first when you are used to the basic ps3 controllers, but i had no money for a scuff one so my brother gave me a hint.i am fully satisfied with this controller, its laying light in my hand, protects from sliding off your hand when you have slippery fingers due to sweating, and has a great battery life time (so far about 50 hours of playing till it needs to be re charged which is great i would say). If you get used to the left paddle being up higher, you will make great improvments on your aim (for me used to play call of duty). The buttons are sensible and the auto stop functions dont require you to push the button in deeply, another very good point. It is also much flatter and shorter on the back for the L and R buttons, which makes your fingers glide over them even quicker, and you get a better feeling!Only one slight negative point, the cable to charge is so slow that you have no chance to play whie it is charging, unless you put the ps3 next to your lab ...But besides that i am really happy with it, and for such a cheap price suprisingly awesome result, very good buy. Will get another one for my brother. CHEERS!

Plenty of controllers on the market claim to be the xbox equivalent for the PS3 but the build quality on some is shocking. I previously purchased a “Speedlink Xeox Pro Analog Wireless Gamepad - Black (PS3/PC)” from Amazon. It was ok but the left thumb stick lost the rubber top within weeks, and eventually the charger port became lose and fell inside the controller so i could no longer charge it.This Controller is however a much much better experience. The build quality feels great, the texture is a bit odd at first as it is quite a smooth finish to it , so you think it may become a bit sloppy but actually remains quite calm in your hands. The sticks are in perfect position and it responds well with no lag.The buttons needs a bit more pressing and are not as sensitive as a standard PS3 controller, but this is minor. Overall a really good vamped and far better than others i have tried. Also worth noting for any ton looking to get a more intuitive pad, that Sony have done a recent update to allow the PS4 controllers to work on the older PS3, enjoy.

I have had this controller only a few days but l is a smart looking controller. It ls nice to touch, unlike alot of others as coated in something?? Not just horrid plastic feel. It is 190% better than the ps3 standard controller but was peed!!! When l went to switch on my PS3 using the Home Button. I don't know if it is me doing something wrong but you can't active PS3 But can do everything else? I've just got myself another controller from the same family of Gioteck, this too don't turn on PS3??? Sad because I did these would probably be(ln my Opinion)Best controllers to BUY!!! GUTTED l must say?.

Great Controller, easy location for Thumbsticks and good trigger buttons.Only down side is though wireless, a receive needs to be plugged to PS3 - which means you lose 1 of 2 ports for just the receiver. This wasn't very clear in description (only written "the SC-1 is fully compatible with PS3 USB controller 3rd party specification using RF technology").But this was also good in a way as it worked with my NVIDIA Shield TV (Android TV), which probably means it will work with any Android Phone/Tablet (using OTG cable) and also PC. Which is why I gave 5 star, though lose 1 port.

I couldn't recommend it enough, I use it for GTA5 and I set the X button as sprint. The fact you can use a combo of buttons at one press of a button is brilliant in many other games also.Read the instructions on the turbo function, it has good features that most will miss. The only con I have encountered is the analogue sticks are a bit stiff and small compared to an official ps3 pad.You can adjust the sensitivity of them though to your liking! I've worn mine in now and its relaxed.also the r1 and l1 buttons need a bit of getting used to. they are a bit spongey

Solid controller which has good set up, is sturdy, good grip, simple set up and quick delivery. It does have some faults however as the triggers could be slightly more sensitive. I prefer the ps3 style direction buttons as in they are individual so you know exactly which direction you're pressing them in, this controller does not have that feature. The controller also takes time to get used to and it's like learning to play all over again but is ace when you get the gist. I still love it nonetheless and would fully recommend it for FPS games.

Have had a couple of these over the years (as they get cheaper), very good replacement for the standard PS3 controller, preferred by my children too who find it comfortable. It does mean losing a USB port to the dongle it needs for the wireless which is not a problem for us but these does get superseded later by a not so good (IMO) Blue version. This has the icons for square, triangle etc which later versions only had colours so easy for the little ones to adapt.Unit itself charges as a standard controller would via a USB cable.

Having read the 1 and 2 star reviews on this product, I thought I would take the plunge anyway (being offered for a good price, didn't seem much to lose)..... I am glad I did. I was so pleased with the controller, I bought a second one. I have had both now for approx. 6 months and both work absolutely fine...... taking into account they are also used by my 7 and 8 year olds who are not too gentle with them. I understand that some buyers may get a 'Friday' machine but I prefer these to the Sony originals.

Nice little controller. battery holds it charge,PROIts comfy, has a nice weighty feel and the material is actually nicer that the original controller. For half the price of the PS3 controller its great value.CONSThe analogue stick doesnt seem as responsive as the ps3 dual axis.- playing MGS4.. and when sniping it hasnt proved an issue, however if its accuracy you want for that the original controller is betterYou cant use it to turn the PS3 on. .. you can use it to turn the system off though.

i searched around amazon for ever and finally found this it looks awesome so i was like yeah sure il give it ago plus the review were pretty damn good so i went a got one, it came a few days later and before i expect.its amazing for the money, its very sturdy and looks awesome, the buttons are kinda wierd like i dont get the turbo feature but if you just want a controller to play games with buy this one.its £10 cheaper then an official one and its defiantly worth it

Have had my pad for a good few years now. Can't remember if brought from Amazon or somewhere else. But have never had a problem with this product. The battery I swear must be nuclear powered. Because there's been times I've charged it then not had to charge for a few months. Just don't know where the power keeps coming from, even with almost daily usage. One of the best 3rd party joypads I've ever had. Well deserved 5 stars.

a very good controller.4 start because in FIFA14 trying to do a fake shot is quite difficult with this controller. It's hard to explain but holding down the squad button and hitting X at the same time sometimes does not trigger the fake shot. It's quite strange but its sometimes you can get used to. Also holding a few buttons at once to trigger something sometimes does and doesn't work for an unknown reason.
