I've now had the product for just a little under a year now and so have had plenty of time to test the headphones out for different games and for TV as well as experiencing the customer support side of things from Gioteck.Firsty, the Headphones are easy to setup, the instruction manual clearly covers the different setup options dependent on how you have your console connected to your TV and/or sound system. In my case I have a PS3 connected via HDMI with an output from the TV to my HiFi. The headset requires 2 USB ports at most, one for charging the Headset whilst in or out of use, it should last at least 4 hours without the need to be plugged in dependent on whether you have the mic turned on or off,the 2nd is for connecting the wireless pairing device. It may be useful to buy a USB cable extender if you plan to play long bouts of gaming whilst using the headset. There is another cable that connects to the wireless pairing device which plugs into your sound output from the TV, the plugs on this are a straight through so you can still plug another pair of audio cables into them. Alternatively if using component/composite output on your console you can plug them directly into the audio out on that and then into your TV/HiFi.The Headphones themselves are very comfortable to wear with soft cusioned ear sections, I have found that sometimes after a long time of wearing them that the metal strap can cause some discomfort on the top of your head, but you can jsut move it around and it still sits perfectly on your noodle. The sound on these are briliant, and are able to replicate a 3D surround sound effect which makes for gaming brilliant. No more worries about someone sneaking up behind you, you can actually hear and make out that something or someone is behind you in a game. They produce excellent treble and bass sound outputs, especially considering the price. It also means you can hear other players when talking to them a lot more clearer. Even more so by the fact the controls on the headset allow you to independently increase/decrease game volume or voice volume, with the added option to mute your microphone (it bleeps every few seconds to remind you you're muted). The control box dangling from the headset can be clipped onto a piece of clothing to prevent it from distracting you. They also have great noise reduction from ambient noises in the room/house/outside, they don;t totally cancel it out, but dull to enough ithey won't cause a distraction. Also the microphone piece is moveable, so when not in use you can push it up out of sight. If you have them set up to pick up audio on the output of the TV, it will also mean as long as your console is on, you can listen to any sounds from other sources that are connected to your TV, ie. Sky BoxNow the company I had never come across before having this set of Headphones, but all the reviews of positivity made my GF decide to buy them for me as a present. Recently I got to see what the customer support was like as I had accidentally broke the charger plug inside the headphone's control box (this part is quite delicate due to it's size, so make sure you don't kneel on the thing or push the plug in really hard), so I contacted the support via email expecting to have to buy a replacement as I dealt the damage. They in turn asked me to send the damaged part and cable to them to test to their testing centre. 2 days after having dones so they emaield em to say they would be sending me a free replacement as well as a new pairing device to go with. The whole process was very striaght forward and more than I expected, which is always good!So as a whole, if you're going to buy a decent set of well priced headphones, you should definitely go for these, or at least any Gioteck piece of hardware if you want that added knowing that there is great customer support to back their products.

I own a pair of Senheiser HD650 headphones (which are among the best headphones there are) which are connected to a very good external audio interface that has a very good headphone output/amp. I therefore think I have a good benchmark to judge other headphones by.EX05 sound:As I expected the sound is 'hyped'. The bass and the treble are boosted. For games this is appropriate. The bass is very good indeed, giving cinematic booms with plenty of 'oomph' and smoothness. The treble though is a bit brittle. All frequencies are very tight with no flabbiness. As you would expect from this good timing response you can hear very good detail in the sound, certainly a lot better than the average speakers in a flat screen TV,but there again, most headphones would probably afford better detail than that.Overall the sound is surprisingly good for a product in this price bracket.Comfort:The ear cups are comfortable and do not press too hard on the ears. The headband can become a bit uncomfortable if the phones slip down and the frame presses on the head, but a small adjustment will relieve this and you can carry on.It could overall be more comfortable but I can play long sessions without problem.Controller:At a convenient distance down the wire from the phones is the small control box. It has two separate dials, one for the overall console/PC sound level and one for the level of other people's voices. It also has a mute/on switch for the headset's microphone. This switch is a bit small and stiff but that's not a big issue. You can see they did spare some expense on this little box, but its features are very handy and it works.Microphone:The mic arm is adjustable up and down. You can move it so it is vertical allowing for convenient storage. It is also flexible meaning you can move it closer or further from your mouth. You can only hear your own voice on the PS3 in the headset set up section, you can't hear your own voice in games. Judging by the set up the mic has good sound quality, better in the test than any player's voice I have heard in online games. I expect your voice comes out the same way as other people's in games, but at least you know that this mic will make your voice sound as good as any other mic would in most games.Installation:I have only used this on PS3. Installation was easy, but you do need to carefully follow the instructions. If using with the PS3 you will need the audio cable that came with the PS3. As well as using the rear audio peripheral socket it will also take up a USB socket.Overall I am impressed by this headset system.Everything about it could be better quality, but you would have to pay a whole lot more to get much better, and I don't need it to be better.

Although it is now '£27.99' I bought this for '£23.00' which was too much of a bargain to ignore. A year before I purchased this I had Turtle Beach P11's which were fantastic but build quality wasn't the best. which proved later on when the right ear cup speaker broke. As I became custom to playing FPS games with a headset I began to look for other options. This headset caught my eye because of the price and it looked really well built. On receiving the item, setup was easy due to the fact it was the same for the TB but if you're a first time owner of a headset you may struggle so I recommend typing the name of the headset and then how to setup on YouTube and it will give you help.On first glimpse of the EX05 I was pleased with the size of the headband and ear cups (50mm)as it looked comfy. One thing to note it may be minor but i was slightly disappointed that the camo finish on the picture isn't actually apparent on the headset, instead it's just all black.I loaded up Call Of Duty Black Ops 2 and played a few games. At first it seemed that all it did was direct the sound which you would hear from the TV into your ears with no enhancements. After further use I started to hear enemy footsteps, reloading of guns and call outs from the enemy team. This will really help you if you want to get better at games such as Call Of Duty. The microphone isn't as flexible as the P11's but you can still position it in a way you're comfortable. One thing I have noticed is although the mic is a suitable distance from your mouth it feels really close to your face and as it is in your peripherals it can be quite distracting. The sound quality seems fairly clear and have had no complaints from friends. In conclusion this is a good small budget headset for casual gamers which will improve your skills. It is on par with other bigger brands small budget headsets and is cheaper. When used on PC the P11's mic did seem a lot clearer then the EX05 but it's not by a huge margin. This is a good buy if you're on a budget and will be satisfied with the results.Hope this was helpful.

These headphones are great for gaming and really help you immerse in the game.Build: They are really comfy, and you forget you're wearing them after long sessions of play (unlike other headphones which hurt after prolonged usage). The widened strap at the top helps share the weight of the headphones (and you can still kinda scratch your head!) When you wear them they do look very big, and you can look a bit silly, but given the comfort that doesn't matter. Plus, the wire is long enough to sit across the room from the console.Sound: These headphones have great sound and microphone quality. I mainly use them for Battlefield 3, and find that they give you a great advantage, such as if you are hiding from an enemy, you can hear when they are coming near, and has saved me quite a few times! The sound really helps you immerse in any game, and while playing one game, I was immersed so much, that I jumped at what was a cheap scare... Microphone seems good though. On the little box on the wire, you can adjust the game volume, but also the volume of other player's microphones, so you can mute all those pesky kids. It also lets you mute your mic, so that other players don't get annoying noise from you adjusting your headphones.Setup: These headphones were really easy to setup, but may give some people problems dependant on their existing setup. For console usage, the headphones require you to plug in to the USB port of the console, and then to basically syphon off the red blue white or whatever, left and right sound, so if your console is not close to where it is plugged in to the telly, it may be hard to make it work.Pros:ComfyGreat soundAmazing price for the quality!Cons:Can appear big and bulkyWire may be too long for likingSetup can be trickyOverall these headphones are great, and are a definite must have if you want a great pair of headphones for gaming, without shelling out on an expensive pair!

These headphones are great. I've used them on both my laptop and PS3 and the sound is great. When I'm playing COD zombies, you can hear a lot more with these headphones and you can easily tell when a zombie is approaching and the general direction it is coming from as the sound quality is so sharp. I can pick out bits of a song easier when I'm using them on my laptop and sometimes I can hear a background note or lyric that I missed before which is pretty cool. The mic is of good quality and the ease of installation into the PS3 is quite straightforward with simple-to-follow detailed instructions and in order to install them into a computer you need only plug them in and it will begin installing.Mine installed into my laptop two or three times which was a little odd but they've stopped installing when I plug them in now as my computer knows them which is good. They are comfortable to wear if you fit them to your head properly and the ear coverings are soft. They come with quite a long wire however I think this is useful as you don't have to be hunched up in-front of the TV when playing on the PS3 as they have the ability to give you a lot of room to sit a comfortable distance away. The only down-side I've found is that the wire has another wire coming off it with two plug in bits that I don't need to use and they sort of hang off which is a little annoying. It would be nice if they could be taken off but I've come to live with it as these headphones are so great for the price. The mic can easily be moved to change the distance from your mouth or you can point it upwards if you're not using it so it is not in the way. There is a little box that gives you the ability to mute noise or turn the volume of the game or voices up/down. They have a cool blue/grey army camo print on and I would highly recommend them.

Ordered this Headset yesterday and it just arrived. Delivery service was very good, packaging in good condition. The item comes in a stylish package with a window which allows you to have a look at the headset itself, looks fantastic and good quality.Feels very solid and build quality is good. All accessories included (wires and connector; instruction manual).Set up was very easy, and adjusting sound settings on PS3 were straight forward, the instruction manual is very clear. You can hear your own voice while adjustments are done and the microphone quality sounds outstanding.Headset feels very comfortable, you can adjust it to your needs.Ear pads are comfortable and surround easily your ears without creating any pressure (I've got small ears anyway). The microphone is adjustable as well and it's very flexible.Sound quality in game is very good, you can distinguish all sort of different sounds and it's very clear (glass breaking; footsteps; machine gun feels proper 'heavy'). Sound volume are easily adjustable on connector, which is in hand, for both game and chat.Still playing around with it, with different games. I did find out some games allow in their options to adjust sound settings (headphone surround) which increases a bit the overall experience (black ops). Besides this, I'm still trying to find out a way to adjust in game bass levels, if that's possible.Overall a great product. There are plenty of options out there, at higher prices, but this headset really has it's own way of showing off in the crowd.Very happy with it and recommend it.

This is a great headset. It is made with lightweight materials which does make it seem a little on the cheap side, but what do you expect from a sub £40 headset. The sound quality for games is good, though they do need burning in (playing sound for long periods to get the drivers loosened up)The sound quality for music however is quite bad. If you do intend to use these for more than just games then I would give yourself more money to play with and look at other options. They aren't the most comfortable headset in the world but they are a hell of a lot more comfortable than most. The microphone is good and in my opinion quite well designed.Cables: The headset cable is short and has an awkwardconnector which means you can't plug it into anything other than the control box it's meant to go into. From there you get a 10ft cable, splitting into a USB connector and stereo aux pass through's (red and white ones). Unlike some places, including Giotek themselves, you don't need the Xbox audio adapter to use these. Just simply plug the aux cables into the stereo output on the TV, change whatever setting you might need to on the TV and job's a good'un :DOverall, I would give this headset a 7 out of 10 when comparing to £50-100 headsets. But definitely a 10 out of 10 when comparing to the standard Xbox one.

I bought this headset about 7 months ago. Ever since then it's endured my reckless behavior of me throwing it around. Although it's plastic frame seems quite cheap, it's solid and is built to last. The Ear Cushions are soft and I can wear these for up to 12 hours straight. It's Mesh headband is really comfortable and doesn't leave a flat area at the central point of your hair like say, a turtle beach headset would. It's sound quality is crisp and clear, however, I personally don't think there is enough bass. The noise cancellation on this headset is quite terrible as you can hear the noise from a room away. The microphone quality is really good and it's slight inelastic build makes sure it doesn't get too close to your mouth. It's volume control box is made of cheap, plastic material but hasn't failed me yet, so mechanically it's sound. The fact that you can use these on all systems (PC, PS3, Xbox) is a bonus. The cable lead of both the RCA cables and the USB cable is really long which allows you to sit back rather than being too close to your TV. Overall a really good headset which for the price I bought it for (£25) is great value. It hasn't disappointed me yet so I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a cheap, long lasting, mult-use headset.

Firstly, I got these from GAME but you get the same headset, so I can't comment on delivery ect, I can talk about quality, ease of use so on.Secondly, When I got these and tried them I was disappointed, On PC they sounded crap and on Xbox they didn't work. However !The PC problem was my USB was the slightly broken one, and the Xbox problem was my Tv, not the headset. After a long wait, (and some swearing) I got it to work on my laptop, (proving it was the faulty USB) and using it perfectly on a different Tv for Xbox, and ever since I've loved using them :)Why ?-I can finally talk to others on xbl/PC and they can hear my voice, no white noise ect.-I can play Xbox with the Tv sound off,and hear everything (and I mean, everything) through the headset alone, and thus replaced my 7.1 Surround-sound, yes ! They're that good.My only complaint is the fittings, which is subjective to each and every person.Because although you can adjust the height of the ear-cups, you can not do the same for the crown of your head, although after stretching them, they fit like a glove. With these you can hear the enemy footsteps, and they're weapons reloading. But they won't hear you.Unless they have a pair too.

Decided to buy this headset after reading very good reviews about it, also as i take my gaming seriously this headset was great for the price. The headset arrived 2 days than estimated which was perfect as the new gaming season is now upon us. The headset itself is amazing, the microphone is fine and my friends tell me my voice is very clear, it is also very sensitive, and could pick up my voice even when whispering very quietly. There is loads of bass in the headphones, and i found this very useful for games such as Modern Warfare 3 and Battlefield 3, and hopefully for this years games, Medal of Honor Warfighter and Black ops 2, also this headset was really good for watching movies, the 'Avengers'in particular was great, like being in the cinema. The only downside (but is nothing really) is after a while your ears do get a bit warm and when on maximum volume (which is very loud)my brother still said he could hear the game (but this should'nt be too much of a problem as it has to be a maxium volume, which is very, loud). Over all this headset is brilliant and if your thinking of getting it dont't hesitate it amazing, it's easy to set up and i actually din't find the wires too much of a problem.

This headset does exactly what it is meant to do, currently I just leave the headset attatched to my Xbox as to move the wires about is a bit of a hassle although it is useful that you can if needed. The ear pads are comfy and dont give me any issues wearing them for a few hours at a time, the band accross the top isnt as comfy as a few padded ones I have tried but it was not uncomfortable to wear just a bit annoying for me.The sounds is pretty good and it is much easier to hear other people moving about on Call of Duty, I have not tried it for any other game. The mic also seems pretty good and no-one has had any problems hearing me at all and you can mute it on the controls on the cable.I dont find the looks that appealing but that isnt what matters. Overall I think this headset it definately worth the money and it is much cheaper on Amazon than other places.I did buy a set of Turtle Beach XP500s and returned them after a few days, they were over 6 times the price of these and I found them very uncomfortable after only 15 minutes and the sound didnt seem any better than the Gioteck, they also were much more likely to fall off where as these are quite stable.

The headset arrived on time and was supposed to be a replacement for my old xbox headset but now I just use it for everything! The sound and voice quality is amazing and I haven't had any serious problems with it thus far! I have used it for both PC and xbox but not PS3, though I shouldn't imagine that would affect the quality!A few things to note however - If you want to use this for an xbox you have to have an adapter first but these are only a couple of quid.-The wire length is a bit ridiculous. I suppose if you were in a studio or something it might seem reasonable, but sat at the computer with it plugged in it just gets in the way.-The headset is comfortable to wear for long periods of time, however it is fairly heavy and may take a few days to get used to.-Setting it up to the PC is simple as it is just a USB connector, the Xbox on the other hand does take a bit of messing around. [ It also says to not have your controller plugged in and charging whilst playing as the headset will pick up interference, but so far I haven't noticed anything! ;) ]Overall this is a brilliant product and well worth the price, my only gripe really being the wire length!

This headset covers all of the criteria that a headset must cover. The sound quality is great both when playing games and watching videos/listening to music. The fact that this headset is compatible with both PC, PS3 and Xbox is super useful. The ear cups are extremely well padded and shouldn't get too uncomfortable when gaming. Another little thing I liked was the fact that in order to use this headset with the PC, you only need to plug in the USB cable which keeps everything tidier. To be honest, I would buy this headset for £75 but £24.99 is an astounding deal!Pro points:-Good sound quality-Covers many major platforms-Comfy ear cups*PLEASE NOTE*If using this headset with the Xbox(While using a HDMI cable),you need to buy an additional adapter cable(an Xbox to RCA cable adapter). This is true for almost all headsets when being used with the Xbox so do not take this as a bad point for the headset. For this price, this headset is a must buy!EDIT: I forgot to mention, on my headset atleast, there are no camouflage prints on the top area of the headset as shown in the pictures, i believe this was mentioned in a few other reviews as well.

I'd like to be clear; I didn't buy this from Amazon.Overall, this is a decent headset. I've owned a pair for about a year now.Pros:- The sound quality is excellent. I've also been told that the microphone picks up clearly and loudly (I could speak from 3 meters away at normal volume, and it would trigger voice activation).-They're quite comfortable for long periods of time. I should know, I'm a World of Warcraft raider.-They look rather neat and unconventional.Cons:-Whilst the headband is indeed lightweight, it is also not very sturdy. The strap on mine partially broke after a month or so (one of the bands broke free on one end). While it is still quite usable,it was somewhat uncomfortable to wear if not adjusted correctly.-The paint on the side of the earphones is not durable at all. I have a habit of scratching lightly at the earphones, and straightaway I noticed paint coming off.-The software can be quite finicky. I once had a period where the headset would not work due to random driver issues. So in general, it's a decent headset and worth your consideration; just make sure you're not too rough with it.

well, the title says it all! When I first got the headphones, the length of the wire surprised me, as most of the other headphones i've used in the past, only had a 1.5M wire, but this was almost twice as long (although I think this is a good thing as it can now reach behind my computer with all my other wires). They may feel a bit strange at first, because of the mesh headband, but it's large area makes it remain comfortable. The sound quality is good, as good as any high priced headphones, but if you're wanting to have your volume loud and make sure people around you can't hear you, these aren't the headphones for you. The open back design isn't too good at keeping sound in,but it keeps your head nice and cool after long periods of use. Now, the mic, my favorite part about these headphones. I've done some recording with these headphones, and the quality is crystal clear! The quality is amazing, if you used extra noise cancellation software, you'd basically have a studio quality mic!
