The elastic on this product is much less stretchy than I imagined, so the ball generally comes back somewhere near your body core - I had anticipated that it would be more random and more difficult to catch.However, the reason rated this as "5 star- I love it" is that it really increases the number of passes that you can make in a short space of time - I've probably made more passes off my weaker hand in 15 minutes than I made in the whole of last season! The reflex element comes into play for me in getting the hands ready on the ball during the wind up for the next pass.Both of my boys are loving this as part of a daily routine which will undoubtedly lead to us all being equally comfortable

This is a fantastic training aid to improve passing. Whenever my son (plays Under 11s) practices with it in the days before a match, his passing is noticeably improved. Particularly good for practising passing off the weaker hand. I've been so impressed with this that we've bought several as presents for other rugby playing kids and the team also now has a couple which it loans out.

Was recommended this ball to help my son's training. The price on Amazon was the cheapest around. The ball takes a bit of getting used to, but then it's very useful as he can run up and down the pitch passing and catching by himself. Very good for hand eye coordination and pass speed . Overall a very good training aid that I've recommended to several others.

My 10 year old grandson only put this down to eat his Christmas lunch! He rated it as highly as his new PlayStation 4! He mastered the technique necessary for using it extremely quickly and told me it was "ace"! It will relieve his father and grandfather of the need to constantly help him in honing his passing and catching technique. Brilliant purchase!

My 14 yr old loves this product . It was bought for him to practice passing off his non dominant hand , after reading a review i bought it. perfect buy , he loves mucking around inside as much as out and nothing gets knocked over. little drop kicks come back to him. Great if the user has quick reactions and looking to improve skills in this area.

Absolutely loved this, my 13 year old plays rugby for school so he spends a lot of time playing with it, when I ordered it I was quite worried the rugby ball was going to be one of those plastic ones but it wasn't! It's a good quality football, you just need a pump to pump it up when it comes

I bought this rugby catch trainer for my grandson for Christmas, so I am unable to say how well it works, but if it anything like the videos on You Tube, my grandson is going to have a .great time with it. My item was delivered quickly and the price was very good too.

Seems to be good enough quality as would be expected from a Gilbert product. I would have given 5 stars if it had could with the little needle adaptor required to pump the ball up. This would have cost very little to add and would have been a nice finishing touch.

Have boughtbthis to give my son as a Christmas Present , didnt realise it came deflated as did not have a pump to inflate so was a bit challenged to find somewhere to inflate, all done and looks good so hope Son enjoys it

Great gift for my 10yr old son who is a very enthusiastic rugby player. Works well. Even worked for my 15yr old as well. Will get greater use when the weather is better and we can get outside more. Thanks great service.

I bought this for my grandson for Xmas. He is delighted with the ball. It is great for practising passing. Believe it or not I bought the same ball for my son 25 years ago and he still has it.

I got this for a birthday present for my brother, and although he said that in needs pumped up quite a bit he also said that it does help him practice. Good product and came quite fast

Got this for a lad who is never without a ball in his hands. With a bit of practice this gives some variety to simply throwing a ball up and down (which you can do as well).

I bought this as a christmass present for a young boy who loves rugby. He was very pleased with it and practices with his dad every opportunity
