This Item was a spotter to start with, a prize in the making and on arrival did not dissapoint, Packaging great, Tidy and easy to unwrap and connect, easy to read instructions, The picture plates to fix a photo or write a large letter (or any other choice you might have, especially if you have a sence of humor) Mum i Law is half deaf, slowing and scared. So this has done the trick, called in on 2 falls already and being used with shakey confidence. No knocked off recievers, I reversed the hand set clip as if it was on the wall so we have belt and braces when the hand set is returned with a firm click in place. No pictures possible as sight is on the wend, but a big M,F and T indicates all the initials of family as well as a (i^i house) for home numbers with mobiles as a default. The hand free is easy and for shakey hands a prize of and option. Volume adjustments as well as bass and trebel adjustments leave this phone with an easy and vast range of management choices for the loved one with a variety of challenges.Incoming and Outgoing management as seperate choices in my opinion leaves no stone unturned. So good we were dissapointed when there was no socket upstairs in place of the now defuncked usefulness of the wireless walkabout, small, often toppled phone. We even considered calling in the engineer to install the second socket required, so much did we like the phone. No more calls from the floor or pocket. Regrettable not to have two in the house, one up by the bed and one where in now proudly sits by the Mil's Throne. The ringer is programmed to beat the telly for volume and the lights on the console are an extra that makes this an alround gem. Best buy for us for "MUM" in managing her increasing needs.Very reccommended.Great price.Easy to fit.Good easy set up instructions.Fun to personalise.Snazzy looking.WINNER !Mum Likes it too From ;( to :) in one easy Phone.

Bought this telephone for my grandad who is partially deaf.It arrived quickly and well packaged. The telephone box was a high standard glossy box with photographs and details upon it.Inside the box was the phone and good clear instructions. The phone itself it a high standard with lots of very good features on it. I personally bought it as has very big buttons which can be personalised easily for easy use for the elderly or partially sighted. It has an extremely loud ring tone which is adjustable and it can be used hands free which is great for my grandad when he needs help. The phone sits at a slight angle which means it is easy to read and use.Another feature which is great is the handset. It sits neatly and firmly on the phone unit. My grandad feels happy that he knows he has replaced the receiver properlyOverall a great product and recommended, easily for those who need a little extra help.

I bought this for my Mother (aged 96 with some dementia and partially blind). It's hard to find something tailored to individual needs.....This is OK. Buttons just about big enough for her to see, sound loud enough (deafness is not a major problem for her, not sure about recommending for those with severe hearing issues).Plainer and simpler would be better when the phone is meant for disabled users. I would say that there are too many confusing "gadgety" buttons on the phone (even I don't know what some of them are for!). For example I had to use a black marker to colour out letters on the numeric buttons to make it less confusing for her. (Does anybody ever use the letters on numeric phone buttons???Except for mobile texting , what are they for?)In addition a few more pre-programmable buttons would have been better too.

I bought this for my elderly mum, who lives 450 miles away in a nursing home. The telephone is absolutely vital for us to keep in regular contact. About 4 years ago she became a bit deaf in one ear, and suffers from severe arthritis so cannot hold a receiver either. In that time, she's had a BT Big Button phone (which died after about 2.5 years), a Binatone Speaker Phone (which was in theory a great idea, but had very poor quality on the speakerphone), and for the past 4 months has had this one. This phone has a much louder and clearer speakerphone than the aforementioned ones, is easy to program (even for an non-techy like me!), and the layout is very good. Mum is losing her memory now, gets muddled very easily, and has always been afraid of technology....but she loves this phone! I have a Panasonic phone

Although I have very good hearing, for some reason I have always had a problem hearing clearly on a telephone. Having tried others with variable volumes without much success I took a punt on this and glad I did. Sound is clear and the volume can be raised to a very good level, way beyond my needs.Ringer volume is good but that has never been a problem for me. Buttons are soft but positive giving a clear indication that you have pressed them. With the phone on a flat surface there is no problem with handset engagement. Not replacing the handset correctly can be a problem for older people but is not usually down to the design of the phone; something I know all too well from my own mother. For themoney this appears to be an excellent phone.

Reviewing everything one has purchased can be a chore. However, I am delighted to review the Geemarc Photophone 100.This phone was the fourth hands-free telephone I tried, including one costing twice as much, and it is by far the best. The things I particularly liked were: the wide range of positive controls - they did what they were supposed to do; the excellent loudspeaker performance - volume controlled; the eleven direct memories, 8 with individual annotations - plenty for my domestic situation; the stability given by the four rubber feet; clear markings for every control. We are thoroughly pleased with our purchase..

This item is larger than I expected - there should be a more compact version without the "picture" buttons! (Yes, I appreciate the buttons may be useful for some users). The size makes it four star rather than five. The phone works, and gives a satisfactory increase in volume (for me). I've not needed to check any of the extra functions. I'm surprised that it doesn't need a mains connection or use a battery (there is a battery compartment but it is empty, has a big "X" over the battery symbol, and the manual doesn't mention installing a battery). Perhaps it uses power of the 'phone network, which I didn't think was allowed.

I bought this phone for my father who has Alzhiemers and is quite deaf. Its really good as the buttons are big and you can put photos in of the people who's number you programme in. It was really easy to program the numbers in. The volume can be turned up on the earpiece, which is great as my father can actually hear it well, but the hands free/loud speaker is really good too. Before we had a BT phone which was terrible in comparison, the earpiece couldn't be turned up and the hands free kept cutting out, we had one exchanged because of it but the replacement was just as bad. For the price I think this phone is a bargain.

Brought this for my dad who was a little hard of hearing, the difference was amazing, he's had it for over a year now and its still working great. Actually found it was better to talk to him on the phone than in person, as he could actually hear. Still trying to get him to get a hearing aid...amazing phone.Plus being able to put the families pictures on quick dial buttons aided him no end, no more need to peer at the keys. The pictures are a little small ( but still a lot easier than him trying to dial )Would definitely look for Geemarc products in future.

Great for Father in Law who had a stroke recently and struggles with anything to do with technology. All important numbers are stored and a picture or large writing helps select the right person. Would be good for dementia patients too. We stored the numbers in advance and then took the phone when we visited him.......the numbers are stored even when the phone is unplugged to move it elsewhere which is very helpful. Highly recommended. We don't leave the hook with him as he tends to start meddling with the buttons and loses the numbers.

This phone is great! We bought it for an older relative who has early stage Alzheimers and the ability to put pictures on the phone is brilliant. Crystal clear on hands-free and easy to mount on the wall. The only odd thing is the battery compartment that won't actually take batteries. This may mean that if you disconnect it from the socket it may lose its memory but we haven't run that experiment so it may be fine. Why would they put a battery compartment on a phone and then not connect it up? Anyway - a good buy.

I bought this as we were finding that our youngest child (age nearly 9) was occasionally home alone for short periods on their own (30 -45 mins) and we'd no way to contact her or her us. We live in a street where she can easily go to neighbours (she's not abandoned) but due to a particular evening when I got stuck commuting I decided I needed to be able to connect to her - even if it was just to explain I was running late. All she has to do is press the photo of the family members to connect.

I bought this as a Christmas present for an elderly relative and have not given her it yet. However I have set it up and put photos under the memory keys. During this process it seemed to work well.UpdateThe phone has performed really well, the 90 year old lady who uses it daily is delighted. It was used in an emergency recently and its ease of use was a real life saver.

Bought this phone as my mother has Alzheimer's. It is ideal for her needs with the large picture buttons so she can speed dial without using the numbered keypad. The handset isn't a tight fit on the cradle so can be knocked off easily. Only drawback there was no instruction booklet to accompany the phone.

Brought this for my 91 year old mother. Very easy to set up and she found it very easy to use. We didn’t use photos, just wrote family/friends names which worked brilliantly. The large buttons are excellent also. The volume is nice and loud and would be suitable for anyone that is hard of hearing.
