This phone is brilliant for what it is!!A non nonsense no frills phone which can be wall mounted or desk based. The design is relatively slimline, with the receiver resting over the keypad. But the keys are large and easily readable for those whose eyesight may be failing. These phones feature DTMF dialing only (tones not pulses) but this is now almost mandatory. Standard time break recall and last number redial buttons are fitted and are compatible with local PABX (home or office switching systems). The phones are available in a variety of colours and the understated design makes them both subtle and stylish in most modern living environments. My only criticism is the receiver hook when the phone is wall mounted. You need to turn the receiver clip upside down to make the phone hold the receiver when mounted on the wall. One of two things will ultimately happen, the receiver clip will disappear inside the phone body, or the receiver holder will snap off!!However, when I contacted Geemarc about this issue, they sent me a small number of replacement clips free of charge!! I suspect I'm not the only person to experience this problem.Overall, a great little phone and good value for money.Read full review...

Like most people, we mostly use our mobile phones so the landline is there for the odd occasional use and I didn't want to spend a great deal, but I still have to look at it and hear it. This is a great little phone, I purchased the black model which discreetly blends in our room and doesn't look cheap and the ring tone doesn't make your ears bleed but is pleasant enough. The ringer can be set to off, quiet or loud. I do not hear so well but heard it ringing on the quiet setting and I also easily heard the tones when dialling out for touch tone calls. I can't comment on the durability because I only purchased today. I love the fact that it doesn't use electricity to run, an important factor for us.I have seen the odd negative review but I can't praise it enough. Like all telephones of today it did come with a 1 metre long cable which did not meet my requirements so I ordered a matching 3 metre black one from Amazon for a few extra pounds. Despite this, the phone is still very inexpensive and most importantly free to run.

This is a very light weight phone, and with the short cables provided it is very easy to knock the whole thing over while picking up the phone standing. It comes with wall mounting screws, which is good, but I would reccomend buying longer cables if this is what you want to do with it.The ringer is very loud, so we have set ours to low. I guess having a very loud ringer is great for if you're planning to have it downstairs. We live in a flat so that's not a worry for us.Dialing is very loud in the ear, so I'd reccomend dialing with the receiver away from your ear.Call volume is fine, though should someone who normally speaks softly call I'll have to ask them to speak up.The package arrived as is in the box, there was nothing to protect it from damage or theft in regards to hiding what it is.All in all for a cheap phone it's pretty good. I bought it to be a temporary phone as my usual phone recently failed, so for that purpose it's pretty good.Overall I am pleased with my purchase.

Lovely phone and really nice buttons which one can see clearly without one's reading glasses. If there is a power cut, the phone does not need electricity so will work as long as the telephone lines are working. The phone does not use batteries. Last number redial LNR works well, the ring is loud enough, the ring can be turned off if you have another or several phones ringing and you can still use the phone. Mute button works, there is an R button, whatever that is for. The size of the phone is nice for hanging on the wall and a little light for use as a table phone. The buttons are on the phone and not on the handset which is GREAT.Digital display of the incoming phone number to reduce picking up the phone with unsolicited or foreign calls,a way of making the phone a bit heavier, more ringtones and speaker phone would make this phone really fantastic and double the price.

This phone is cheap and you get what you pay for. That's not a bad thing though.Assuming this is for a second/occasional use phone, or for one for use in a power cut, it's fine. For a start it's very light, and feels flimsy, even though it's quite sturdy. The buttons are big and easy to use, so ideal for the elderly. There's a small reversable catch to allow this to be wall mounted, and it works fine. Sound quality is on par with any phone I've used before. The ringer has three settings (off, low and high) and on high it's very loud. It's enough to make you jump and can be heard through closed external doors. My only issue was that the phone line in lead (all are supplied) enters through the side at the bottom. It makes it a bit inelegant when handing on the wall. If that's my only issue, then it is certainly a good buy.

I bought this phone a few months ago when I moved to a new flat and received a landline phone offer from my internet provider. I decided to use it and brought this phone for this purpose. It's a very simplistic, old style phone with big buttons and a volume control button which sets how loud you want its ringtone to be and even mute it. As for sound quality, it's not that great. Unless the person on the other side speaks very clearly, I sometimes struggle to understand what they are saying. That saved me from a prank call once where I kept asking the scammer to repeat himself until he got angry and hung up on me, so I guess it isn't that bad. It does its job,but the sound quality could definitely be improved.

We made a decision a couple of years ago to not have a phone connected to out landline because of the inability of BT to prevent continuous scam calls on an almost daily basis. However it was pointed out to me that relying on a mobile phone for 999 calls may not be a sensible option. By purchasing this inexpensive phone I now have a method of making the odd outgoing call should I so wish whilst being able to leave the ringer switched off. I am no longer bothered by scammers and yet I can easily make 999 calls. Being a simple phone it does not need to be plugged into a 13 amp socket, another benefit compared to most other landline phones. The sound quality is better than I expected for theprice.

Nobody will take the review I am writing about this item seriously. I was just looking for a makeshift phone to make do in an emergency before taking a bit more time to pick out a more expensive, "better" model at my leisure. But this phone, as all of the other reviewers have said, is fantastic. I cannot believe the quality for the price. It could easily be four times as expensive. Classy perspex well fitting buttons, great ring tone and clarity and not at all cheap and nasty as what you might think you are going to get for the price. The manufacturer is selling themselves short. This is a great phone and I intend to buy several to cover the whole house.

I hardly ever use my landline phone so I just wanted a reasonably priced, no frills model that would look smart yet unobtrusive mounted on the wall. This fits the bill perfectly, simple to use and decent quality. I've had Geemarc phones before and been completely satisfied with them. Stupidly, I didn't read the instructions and emailed customer service with a question which they responded to promptly and courteously, so good on them. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this phone, it does what it's supposed to and looks just as good as more expensive ones that do exactly the same job.

I chose this phone because it is simple and easy to use, the black is classic and it doesn't take up too much room. The big buttons make dialling easier and the ring tone can be heard through the house. It isn't fancy and doesn't have all the tech-y stuff but if you want a phone it does what it says on the tin. I like that it doesn't need to be plugged into a power source to work and although the number 2 button does sometimes stick in mine it is easy to overlook. I would recommend this phone to anyone who just wants something to make and take calls on, nothing more.

Nice simple phone, it has a clear sound, so you can hear and be heard easily on a call. I like the big buttons, even my mother can read the numbers. The ring is very loud, good if you're losing your hearing, not so good if you are easily scared (like me).It gets it's power from the phone line, so even if there is a power outage, it can still be used. Great to have in case of emergencies, even in the age of mobile phones. It can stand on a table, or be hung on the wall. The design is nice and simple. It has been well designed to meet the requirements of a phone.

This is a good, straight-forward corded phone. I deliberately chose this model to replace my more elaborate unit. My eyesight is deteriorating and so I cannot read the LCD display on the more sophisticate model. So, I decided - - - 'a simple device - - - calls in, calls out'- - - that is all I really need. The unit has nice clear numerals on big buttons and does not take up too much desk space. The large, clear "Redial" button is very useful when one is trying to reach a busty site which is almost permanently engaged.

The phone is exactly what I expected as I need a phone line but don’t need to use it much. I got the cheapest I could find so it ticks that box and it’s slimline so doesn’t take up too much space. The only fault I find with it is that the volume is just too loud. I never give out my number but somehow a cold caller has got it and the ringer is so loud it can’t be ignored. It would be better if it had a slide function rather than loud, quiet, off as the quiet is really loud too. I now have it switched off all the time

Wanted a corded phone that would work even if power was lost. Tried a BT Duet but it would work with our cordless Panasonic answerphone - this one does. Casing is cheap plastic with a nasty "dirty ivory" colour if held up to the light but is OK on a desk. Large buttons are good, very loud ring which can't be changed but that's hardly a problem and some would say an advantage. You probably wouldn't want this in your living room, but as a bedroom phone that works when the power is down, it's cheap and it works!

Yes, I find it really sarcastic to have a landline in 2020, since everything runs over mobile lines. The broadband provider company gave a landline for internet, so I bought the cheapest device on Amazon to have an alternative connection point in case of any need. To be honest, in last three months we received only one call from a very older man, which was a wrong number :) But the sound quality was great! (And we were shocked as the phone rings because we really forgot it's presence)
