I have been a lifelong Uno fan - having played it since I was a young child and then having introduced my children to it - I was curious about a new variation of the classic game - having moved from 1 to 2 (uno to dos!)I must admit it took a couple of games for us to get the hang of it fully - as there are quite a few rules to master - but once you have got it - it is SO MUCH FUN! It is familiar enough to UNO players in terms of the style of cards - but these go up to 10 and you can number match the numbers for a simple move or single colour match with a bonus of being able to add another of your cards to the table or you can play two cards which add up to the card you are playing to - or thesuper move of two colour matched cards being played which means you get the same bonus as a single colour match, but you also force the other plays to draw an extra card. Like in UNO you have to shout out when you are close to winning - but in DOS, you shout (as you might expect) DOS when you are holding two cards in your hand and if you forget and someone else notices and they shout DOS at you, then you have to pick up two additional cards. In DOS you can play several times in one go - depending on how many cards are in play - there is lots of movement and play is fast. We have just been playing until someone goes out - not doing the scoring up to 200 points yet - but that in itself is seriously fun - lots of calls for just one more round always heralds a successful game!

Such a great game, we have always loved playing uno and this is a great twist to the classic game, we have x2 sons aged 14 and 17 and they both happily play this game with us, I do agree with some of the other reviews mentions they are quite slippy to pick up throughout the game play and with this format of playing you are flipping both the deck and draw pile a lot, we find it so much easier to play them in a pot, that way they don’t get blown around whilst playing outdoors and you can pick them all up much. I am disappointed with the quality though as within the first week of playing it every night they are already coming apart at the edge of the cards. 1 star of for this. Some people have commented on it being difficult to see the difference between pink and purple, we have found it ok, think the issue is that the pink on x2 of the corners is speckled with a shadow which makes some parts of the pink card look purple, but if you always look to the top left corner the difference is a lot more noticeable, it gets more difficult when your playing in the evening and the lighting is poor. I would highly recommend this game, I had not realised it was coming from China but it was here within 2 weeks which was great

We've enjoyed playing this game - the object of which is to get rid of all the cards in your hand first. The 'Dos' theme is quite strong throughout: the game is set up with two central cards; you can use two cards that add up to an exposed number as a match; there is a 'Wild' dos card that is easier to make double matches (and score more highly); as well as a rule whereby any player who gets down to only two cards in their hand must shout "Dos" before another player does so, to avoid being required to draw an additional pair of cards. There are quite a lot of rules to remember - it was a completely new game for us, with an extended deck of cards unlike any other we'd played with (108 cards,in 4 colours, with some numbers repeated more than others, plus two different kinds of wild cards) - and took a few goes before we'd really got the hang of it. Quite good fun, once we got there! Having never played Uno before we didn't have any basis for comparison with the original game.

Dos is an alternative game to the familiar Uno card game. It is for 2-4 players and while the cards are familiar the rules are different and take some getting used to. If you enjoy card games and want a new challenge then this is a good option.Similarly to Uno, the goal is to be the first to get rid of all your cards, and special wild cards change the gameplay. You are primarily matching numbers and you get bonus points for matching colours - scoring points towards a score of 200. If you go out first, you earn points for cards left in your opponents' hands. When you reach your final two cards you shout "Dos" (just as you would shout 'Uno'when you have one card left when playing Uno). The card box is the storage box and it's not really made well for the purpose. It was slightly ripped on arrival and it will only get worse with time. A better box would be worth having.Uno fans might enjoy this variation on a theme but Uno is still the better game.

This is one of our favourite version of Uno and if you know the original game then this will be a breeze to pick up.Flipping the pack over to the 'Dark side' is a great way of giving any player a chance to shake things up. Of course, the dark side of the pack is meant to be more severe. Pick up 2 becomes Pick up 5. Pick up 4 becomes a case of picking up as many as you need to until a particular colour comes up. Overall this severity is negated because all players are still playing by the same rules. It does mean that if you're winning, and your game-plan is paying off, then this might put a huge spanner in the works. Then again,if you're getting lots of cards you cant lay then maybe the opposite side of the pack will be more forgiving. The one tiny tiny potential issue is that if you're the sort of players who like to mix packs then this wont be able to be incorporated into others. Still well worth a buy though.

My daughter loves playing Uno with her friends at school. As soon as this arrived she pinched it and I've hardly seen it since, but it's getting the 5 star review from her.Ultimately it's not a dramatic departure from the original. Because there are 2 piles play tends to be somewhat quicker as there's more chance of being able to play. Being able to use 2 cards to sum up to the card on the pile also speeds play. That may not appeal to everyone, but if you're the kind of person to play Slam or Speed Slam or other quick-fire card games then this one's going to be your kind of variant. It's certainly more portable than the other Uno variants which added spinners and so on which were quite bulky, and doesn't just add a big stack of random luck, instead still being strategic. It might not replace the simplicity of Uno but it's a good addition for existing fans.

I really like playing Uno, so I was glad to see there is a sequel! (I bet there already is, making this one the three-quel) This one is a little bit different because it involves two playing piles instead of one... and instead of just sticking down the number in the middle or the colour, you can put in two cards if it adds up to that number. Are you confused yet? Me too! I like that it's a nice, compact set of cards, just like before - would have liked a plastic or metal playing case to keep the cards intact instead of a box, but hey. The cards are good - durable, well made, properly colourful. And there's enough of them for a game. We had a little go at playing this, and it was a bit shaky to begin with, but I think with practice we'll soon get the hang of it! I do like it though. Well worth it as a spin on the traditional Uno.

My granddaughters love the original Uno game so when I spotted this version I thought it might be a change. They LOVE it and have been playing everyday since we got it!! THe younger one is 11 and she has picked it up really quickly, along with Grandad, but I must admit I get a bit confused myself when the flip overs occur in quick succession. If you are familiar with the original game then it follows the same format with some new takes on certain cards ( that's what was was trying for me but not the others). When you have access to the flip card and can use it, then ALL the cards are flipped over, including the pile cards in the centre, and a slightly different version continues.......however within minutes, all the cards can be reversed back again. Certainly keeps you on your toes. It's fun and definitely not boring.

Excellent addition to the Uno franchise, plays really nicely as an alternative to the original as other reviewers have said. The flip it element is an interesting addition, but as other reviewers have also said however, the slipperiness of the cards makes it rather difficult when you have to flip the deck regularly, especially when children are involved. So, as can be seen from the photograph, we play it in a compartmented lunch box which makes flipping and playing much easier and also works well if taking out to a restaurant or on a long car journey. It would have been great had such a box had been included in the game, but these lunch boxes are easily available from various outlets, including this one. Space to keep original Uno in spare compartment too. Enjoy?

Uno is great fun - the object being to get rid of all your cards, but wild cards are included to either help, or frustrate your attempt to be the winner. Dos takes this familiar gameplay, and spices it up by making it a little more complicated. I found the fact that I had played Uno before actually helped, but I am not sure that going straight to Dos would be a good idea as the gameplay instructions would be quite confusing. The game itself is great fun, maybe not as good as the original, but still a nice twist on Uno that is fun to play.

If you have Uno then I don’t think there’s any need to replace is with Dos, which although it is a fun game, just seems like a way to overcomplicat something that should just be simple. We enjoyed it but it did take a bit of getting used to and I do prefer uno. There are other card games out there like jungle speed which are much better in my opinion. The cards are good quality, bright and colourful and they look good. Ideal for travelling or putting in a bag and carrying about with you to stop boredoms on when out and about.

I have played UNO many times and have enjoyed it, so when I heard that UNO have introduced a new “mechanic” to the UNO card game (in this case Flip) it really changes uno for the better, with cards now having “light & “dark” on either side. Also having new actions( which apply to the dark side of the cards) they really game the tough on other players. So if you have played uno before, then this definitely for you and your family to play. Also I would recommend a card case for them to keep your cards safe and stored.

Uno is a great game and this Uno Flip looks like a great variation. Feeling rather negative as item took over 2 weeks to be delivered and then the box and instructions are not in English. Found the instructions on the Mattel website, but a bit annoying, as it doesn't say this in the item description. Have played a few times now and love getting to flip all the cards from the light to the dark side and don't like the new +5 cards! Easy to get and am sure it will be as addictive as the original.

Came quickly and what a bargain. Uno is a very fun game for all ages. We fancied something different and Uno Flip provides that twist to the game where you may be on your last card and someone Flips the stack to the Dark Side, changing the standard Uno game into a harsher yet funnier game. It can easily flip several times in a game, which means that unlikely player to win can suddenly come from nowhere and win the game.

22.10.2020

The cards don't have the most accurate printing on there - some are misaligned and some colour looks oddly faded. The cards are also quite thin - not unusable, but considerably thinner than expected. There were no instructions in the pack either. All this and the price leads me to think this is a "bootleg" of the real Uno Flip. For the price I am very happy but equally I think this should be mentioned in some way.
