This CAN be modded to fit a Wahoo Elemnt or Elemnt Bolt! Read on.....This is a really nicely made mount. Hinges to open around the bars and all the bolts go into metal nuts etc. It's really not worth the RRP at the end of the day, but its a good product. Will fit regular bars as well as larger MTB bars by using an included rubber adapter. However! It won't fit a Garmin with a silicone case on it. My Edge 200 fits beautifully but not with a thin silicone case that I had for it as it stops the device pushing down into the mount just a little - you could probably force it, but i'm not doing that. Probably not a big deal for most people. The main benefit for me though is that the puck in the mount can be unscrewed and moved 90 degrees. For Garmin this is to accommodate a watch adapter, but for us Wahoo Elemnt users this means that the mount is then the right way around for these computers too. You DO have to cut away a tiny (<1mm) bit of plastic from one side of where the wings fit into it, but thats a doddle and makes no difference to the strength of the mount. Youtube has plenty of vids on this subject to follow.Hey presto I can use the same mount for either computer......perfect!

I had done my research here. I'd read up on various different 'Garmin compatible' out-front bike mounts, there were cheaper options but some people had commented that others 'flex' which with the vibration from the road made it hard to read. With that in mind I bought the Garmin version and it is magnificent. I'd thought that it might be a waste of money given that Garmin supply you with a holder that you attach directly to the handle-bar, it in itself is very useful and fine. But, this product is one of those that I'd class as being "once you try it, you won't go back". The reason being is that the forward position makes it easier and safer to read data from your Garmin while riding, you don't have to look at such a steep angle that you have to take your eyes completely from the road. Another positive is that I've freed-up some room on my handlebar to put my light on. I've the Garmin 800 which is fairly wide, now it is out-front it isn't in the way of my light.

This item arrived quickly, being the genuine article came in the standard Garmin box, a little pricey for what it is but the main reasons I bought this one was the fact it looks and feels stronger, already having one on another bike and also the fact it allows me to fit my Garmin device to my handle bars in a flush position, ie sits level with the handle bars and there fore less liable to getting knocked etc, which you can't do with the other unbranded mounts, there is also the added bonus that you can connect a second device to this mount on the under side at the same time, ie a camera. One thing I did notice on the instructions that Garmin sent, is the fact the mount 'hinges'a different way when you fix it to the handle bars, not a real problem but an error on Garmins side I think.

Although it is well made, it is expensive for a piece of resin, but cycling addicts will appreciate that it looks good and is very practical, putting the Garmin just where it needs to be for a quick glance (especially if you are using the many displays of the 500, which can take some negotiating). It attaches securely using a hinged mount and key (supplied). It is a much firmer fit than the bar mounted flexible plastic ones usually supplied with the Garmin, so may be more secure, but it is still worth detaching your Garmin whenever you are away from the bike. Expecting some envious looks on this year's Sportives, but in reality every serious cyclist will have one.Worth experimenting with the angle to avoid reflections.

This is very useful mount ot have if you want to place your Garmin ahead of the stem on your bike so it's easier to read at a glance. It is well made from good quality plastics and has metal inserts where the bolts fit to ensure you get a secure clamp load. The quarter turn mount can be rotated so it can take both edge and Forerunner units (I'm using a 310xt). Will also fit over-size and standard diameter handle bars sections as it comes with a removable rubber insert in the clamp. If I was going to pick fault I would say that at £27 or so it is a bit pricey for what is essentially a mass produced moulded plastic part.I can't comment on longevity yet but I would hope it lasts a fair while given the price.

Its not cheap at £27. There is another two vendors who do a similar device. One which is metal the other the same as this which is plastic. The metal one has more flexibility regarding fitting, two bolts compared to the plastic one bolt design.Good points: puts the Garmin 800 in eye sight when cycling in front or your bars so easier to see when on the road. Comes with additional rubber mounts. Not sure if these are spares or for larger bars probably the former.Bad points: Its plastic and a bit expensive for a plastic mold hence the missing star.

This is a sturdy alternative to the rubber band mount that comes with the Garmin Edge 500 bike GPS. It comes with a small hex wrench for installation. I have two minor nits to pick: First, since you have to insert the Garmin at a 90 degree angle and turn to lock it in, the mount can get in the way of your bike reflector or your brake cables. Second, the beep you hear on button press isn't as loud and I suspect the mount is blocking the sound. Neither of these problems are deal breakers, of course; I'm happy to have a more solid GPS mount.

Yes this is a little pricey, but I would strongly disagree with comments about it being flimsy and not manufactured very well. It is solid and it looks good, unlike a previous purchase of a cheaper alternative - that was flimsy and not particularly good looking! Unfortunately I came off my bike recently (on black ice) and it survived the impact - dispelling the concern about it possibly breaking easily. You get what you pay for, and for me this was worth paying a little more for a quality product.

A bit expensive, but looks good and holds The Garmin in a position which is easier to scan. Most of the pro riders seem to have them out front. Easy to fit on any diameter bars. Also bought a cheaper model, which also does the job well, the only difference is, apart from the quality of the material, is that the cheaper one has its fixing bolt underneath, which makes it slightly more fiddley to fit, whereas the fixing bolt on the Garmin holder is on top.

This has been working great for me. It is attached to large diameter aluminum road bars with no problems. I wear prescription cycling glasses with a reading correction and this positions my Garmin Edge 800 nicely so I can concentrate on the road and occasionally glance down to check stats and information about the ride. It doesn't shift or slip in response to bumps and affords more space on the bars for a light when I'm riding near twilight.

Initially bought this to free up space on my stem for an iPhone case, and proved an excellent buy. This puts the Garmin in a much better position which makes viewing whilst riding infinitely better. It is easier to get in your field of vision without looking quite so far away from where you're going, and being able to determine the angle it sits means you can all but eliminate sunlight glare as well.If you've got a Garmin Edge, get this!

I use this bracket with a Garmin 510 and it works perfectly allowing the unit to be in my eye-line whilst riding. It's well made although a lille expensive and would be nice if it was adjustable to left or right offset which it isn't. I suppose when you have spent nearly £300 on a bike computer you want it firmly held and this bracket does what it says on the tin.Verdict: When I had finished grumbling about the price I love it

but it doesn't quite rate 5/5.Firstly it's a bit pricey for what it is. I know you're getting an OEM accessory, but even so.Secondly, it does look like it wouldn't survive an impact at all.Thirdly, there's no rotational adjustment, i.e. if you have to attach the mount where the handlebar is not horizontal, the Edge will be angled slightly to the left or right.Still better than on a too steeply angled stem though.

23.4.2013

I've been using the rubber band solution for keeping the Edge mount on my stem but found that I spent far too much time looking at the road and not where I was going! This solves the problem by placing the computer further in front meaning you can concentrate on what's ahead. Sounds simple and it is except you need to make sure you can get the diameter of your handlebar right.

After buying a new bike, my spare stem mount would not fit onto the new bike due to the Di2 junction box fitted in the underside of the stem, therefore I had to choose a mount that would move the Garmin out in front if the stem. Fitted no problem at all in minutes, very good quality and is great for reading the display when you are flat out with your nose buried in the bars!
