What's there not to like. Relatively inexpensive and hours of fun. My son loves constructing so this is perfect for him. It took him a while to get the hang of what you could do with the straws and connectors but once he cotton on to the idea he was off. It is slightly fiddly to use so requires patience and good hand eye coordination, younger kids may get bored of trying to get the bits together.It came with a little set of pictures of what you could build. The pictures only presented the final product whereas some step by step instructions might have helped to create some of the more complicated models. But if you are happy using your imagination, that doesn't matter.

I have been looking for this toy for years as I have such fond memories of it from my childhood. So I was ecstatic when I located it on Amazon. My children - aged 8 &4 - absolutely love it. It comes with plenty of straws and connectors to allow 4 children to play for several hours with it - I know because this has been the case many times over Christmas. It's great for getting their imaginations working on what they can make and they get very creative with the set.A fantastic, old-fashioned fun, toy!

I was looking back to what I purchased in 2007. I bought these because I played with these in primary school in the 70’s.They’re good clean fun and the building possibilities are endless.My children had many years playing with this set and was handed down as each one got older. They’re all grown up now and the set has now been passed on but I’ll buy it again when I get grandchildren for sure.No battery toys are always a winner, think of future expense and durability when buying toys.

I was quite excited to get these straws for my little girl. There are loads in the pack as well as lots of joiners too. I was a little disappointed that the straws were bit flimsy, I can't remember them being so weak however they do what they are supposed to do. My little one is just 3 so only making stars as yet but I would recommend this toy as it takes the child away from battery operated noisy toys and lets them use their imagination during play.

It almost does what the description says it does, except that one of the colours of straws does not create a tight fit with the connecting rigid plastic shapes/joints, which is disgruntling, as one is so excited to create new shapes, and its just a bit slack. Apart from this we can recommnd this product, and highly recommend the sender.

My daughters love playing and constructing with these straws. As do we as parents! An absolutely brilliant price for the hours of endless educational fun that they provide. I bought these as a stocking filler and they have been played with ever since on a daily basis. Would recommend for all age groups from pre-school to old-school :-)

Gave these to my grandsons Xmas & Boxing Day there mum wondered what was keeping the 5year old so quiet and he had opened the box and he had made alsorts or of fun things on his own, and was Sooo chuffed! The kids reall enjoy making things with them... I can leave them alone with this and it keeps them busy and quiet,

I brought these to Vietnam where we live as expats. This has been the hit of the year.. it makes a mess on the floor granted, but all the kids play with it together - from 3-9yrs old, and keeps them using their imagination, and off the iPad. I will be buying more if someone will bring them out here for me !!!

Purchased for a little girl with a huge imagination, this toy has proved to be extremely popular. It allows for the creation of both strange and oddly beautiful works of art along with the intended suggestions. Even her big brother is mesmerised by these colourful little straws. Small money, big pay off.

These straws have a very good educational touch, as you have to think about the designs you are creating! My two and a half year old loves these, and after just a few minutes he realised he could make shapes out of them! Packaged well, and delivered on time. No problems, would recommend!

Sadly this did not do what I wanted it to! I was doing a craft project and the straws were too thin for what I needed - however I gave them to a friend for her grandchildren to play with and they have had an awesome time playing with them - age 5 and 11 so a good buy in the end

Fantastic item. Bought for my 3 year old and we have hours of imaginative fun making all sorts of items. Highly recommended and would be a fantastic toy to help develop fine motor skills. Small connection pieces so i wouldn't recommend for a toddler.

These were a Xmas present for my 3 year old. Once shown the concept we couldn't stop him creating all sorts of shapes and concepts. His imagination was his only limitation. I shall be ordering more sets to allow him to build even bigger creations!

Brought this for our 3 and 4 year old boys, they love playing with them and the things they have made are amazing. They have used their imaginations to make Lollies, monsters, a chair, a bike the list is endless. Would definately reccommend this.

I have just purchased my second box of these. Great for my 9 year old, who can explore 3D shapes, and for my 5 year old, who can happily succeed with 2D "pictures". Lots of "flowers" end up being given to me!
