My daughter is My Little Pony and unicorn mad, so this was always going to be a winner. Her face when she set eyes on it, just lit up and, if you are buying this as a present, it does come in an impressively large box. Undoubtedly, this is the best FurReal Friends toy that I have come across in terms of movement and reactions.Like all these toys, you can feel the slightly robotic body beneath if you cuddle this. However, the fur is very soft, so she is lovely to stroke and, presumably, cannot be too cuddly so you can touch the sensors. She has beautiful, glittery hooves, huge eyes with long eyelashes, pretty wings that flutter, a horn that lights up and changes colour and a soft mane and tail which can be styled.She is fully articulated and you can ‘click’ her back legs to make her sit down; although she has not done this on her own and I don’t think she can without a little help.StarLily comes with a magic berry, which you can ‘feed’ her and she reacts when fed, if you stroke her or even if you talk to her. She will whinny, move and make many small responses to show she is engaged. There is also an app – which, like many of these Hasbro apps, takes up a lot of room. However, if you download the app you can interact with StarLily by feeding her from a magic bush, holding her horn to create magical effects and more. StarLily will react and it is great fun for your child and gives the toy extra play value. You do have to have the phone/tablet in fairly close proximity to the unicorn to get this to work, but that didn’t seem to bother my young testers. However, I found that removing the phone any real distance away made it stop working and that is obviously a downside to the toy.Mostly, though, both my daughter and little niece seemed to enjoy grooming StarLily and feeding her. I do think these toys have limited appeal, but she is more interactive than other similar toys I have come across. She is also very pretty indeed and works well just as a unicorn to pet and play with; coming her hair and feeding her, even if you don’t want to use the app. Very pretty and girly and sure to be a hit with unicorn mad girls.

I got this for my daughter who is mad for anything horse/pony/unicorn-like.The ultimate verdict comes from her, and she absolutely loves it. She really likes the way it reacts to what she's doing (basically moves in a fairly realistic way when you stroke her or feed her). As far as my daughter is concerned this is a 5 star toy.Personally I thought the unicorn was quite nice. It does look very nice and it reacts well when you feed, talk to and stroke it. It's certainly one of the more interactive and responsive toys we've had, but I was left feeling that it should have been a little more for the price.It feels quite heavy and bulky. There's obviously a lot of electronics and plastic under there,and while it's got some degree of padding, it's not the cuddliest of animals.The app that you can download for it isn't the best. It works on sound, so you need to be quite close to make sure the unicorn can hear what's going on with the phone. Quite a few times the unicorn didn't respond and I assume this is because it couldn't hear the sounds from the phone. It also means that a noisy environment (with kids shouting) limits its use. For the cost of the toy it would have been better to use something like Bluetooth. The app is a little confusing too, even as the adult I struggled a little with working out what we were trying to achieve. We seemed to just go from mini-game to mini-game with no real purpose, and we had to repeat some of them over and over. In the end I figured that the app was simply there as another way to interact with the unicorn, but it feels like a missed opportunity to do something a little more. What it meant was that my daughter got bored of using the app quite quickly.Overall it's a nice, if little expensive toy. If your child likes unicorns, then they will probably love this, my daughter certainly did. While I have a few issues with it, it has become one of my daughter's favourite toys.

I am a collector of unicorns, so when I came across this by accident I just couldn't resist buying it, despite its very hefty price tag. I have to say that compared to other Furreals I've' seen, I'm impressed. This has more movement and responsiveness than any I've come across, it's beautiful to look at and makes lovely sounds. I happen to be visually impaired so I wasn't ever going to be able to use the app as it's inaccessible, I did test it to make sure, I can attest though that you don't need to use it to get plenty of fun out of this thing. One thing, if the sugar berry gets lost it's not too big of a deal, you can feed with your finger,or maybe with a small fruit or vegetable from a farm or feeding playset for animals like the ones Schleich sell. Gentle pressure on the lower jaw is how Star Lily knows she is being fed. Over all a lovely toy and a great addition to my collection.

My daughter has literally not put this down since Christmas Day! Yes, an expensive toy but worth every penny for the amount of love that has already been bestowed on this unicorn! The unicorn makes numerous singing, mewing and munching sounds, flutters its wings, bats its eyelashes and moves its head and lifts its hoof. It responds to touch and speech, making more movements and sounds with every stroke and word. I am also strangely fond of her! She connects to an iPad app, for more fun. A point to note, she has very, very fragile wings (she comes with a very clear warning about this), one of ours is already not moving fully (over cuddled!) however my daughter is only just 4,won't let her go and it has not resulted in any less enjoyment! Would 100% recommend (and will hopefully be cheaper after Christmas!)

I bought this for my niece's birthday and she almost burst with excitement when she opened the box! She has spent pretty much every waking hour with it and has already persuaded her mum to download the app. She loves that it flaps its wings, makes crunching noises when it eats a magic berry, flutters its eyelashes, dances to music and even likes being tickled. As she's really into my little pony she loves the fact that she can brush its hair and that it neighs like a horse. I would highly recommend this as a gift for Xmas for any young girl, even though it's a tad expensive, it's well worth the money especially as I've now been promoted to number one uncle

Well, my 4 years old is amazed with it and her younger brother too. I expected this toy to be only a two days entertainment, however, she plays with it every day since Christmas, with app, or just brushes her hair, talks to her, puts her next to her bed saying Lily guards her from the night monsters. I mean, maybe it isn't much from adults perspective esp if you consider the price but it is a very cute toy that makes funny noises and responds to you that's is enough to make a child happy. I was lucky to buy it with a good discount, so couldn't be more pleased.

I was very cynical about spending this much on one toy and told my five-year-old daughter as much when she first asked for it. However, as time went on it became clear that this was no flash-in-the-pan toy request but something she desperately wanted so I gave in (although I did pay less in Black Friday deal). I have to say, I did not have high hopes but have been very impressed. The movements and sounds are impressive and even I find her quite engaging. My daughter was over-the-moon with this!

Once I'd located and inserted the ridiculously-sized batteries (and why they couldn't be included at this price remains to be seen) then this beastly-sized unicorn (or dog, as my elder niece refers to it) is up and running.It's a tactile thing, and quite robust. It responds quickly to interactions and the instructions indicating the mood based on the horn colour are clear to follow.A wonderful gift which has been well received by a 4 and a 7 year old.

It's a magical place, Star Lilys on her way here, Unicorns and SweetBerrys all come with this toy She's Called STAR LILY!!!She's Pretty and interactive, fun and sweet, she is gorgeous and a lovely treat (for my daughter)This is more than just a toy, fun for either girl or boy!So if you buy one toy for a present, this toy is more than pleasant!Great gift for young or old!

StarLily is just SO pretty! I was surprised with how big she was which makes her worth her price. For anyone who's into unicorns, they'll love StarLily. A well made beautiful toy for kids with very fine details, like the sparkly eyes, braidable hair and light up horn. Responsive and cute, i was completely enthralled & mystified by her. StarLily is sure to be a must have

We bought Starlight Lily as Star lily has become known in our house almost 2 years ago for my daughters 5th Birthday. 2 years on and she is still my daughters favourite toy! It is rarely even turned on but that doesn’t matter. It’s a very solid toy, and although a little pricey well worth it! If your kids love unicorns, it’s the perfect gift.

Extremely beautiful, I bought for my daughters Christmas present and I opened the box to make sure it was with working and I can't get over how beautiful it is, so much detail, the wings flap, the horn lights up and the hoove moves, starlily makes different noises, her fur is so soft my daughter will love it

Wow is all I can say about this magical unicorn. The price tag is a bit too high for something that doesn't do that much if BUT I'm so happy I got this as my daughter is so in love with starlily .She really is magical. .every girl would love this ..best toy so far !!

My daughter went on and on for this for Christmas so we bought it for her although it's a very pretty toy she was bored of it after a very short while which is quite disappointing considering the price. I gave it 4 stars because it's so pretty and I love it

Bought this for my daughter and she loves it. It's quite large, it's movement is basic. Haven't used the app. Really not sure why it is so expensive as there is no reason for it to be so much. 4 stars awarded due to my daughter enjoying it so much.
