This is a 5 star product. However, BE WARNED, the dog arrived already switched on and it's incessant barking and talking was driving us up the wall yet the box did not tell us how to turn it off. Went to the web-site and the same the only comment was as on the Amazon web site "...instructions enclosed..."Looking very closely at the box, you can just about see, under the dog, "....nstructions". So, despite this being a present for a child (honestly, it is!!) we had to cut through the retention ties and, on removing the dog, found the on/demo/off switch, under the dog's backside, was set to demo. Turned it off and now can't re-fix it back in the box, grrrrr (no translation needed!!!)Other than that major irritation,

I have bought several of these dog toys over the years , mostly Hasbro . However this is definitely the best . It's not only hugely cute, interactive but more realistic and appealing to children.It definitely gets the cute factor and pracila uses only 4 AA battiness .It is very interactive, sensing movement and also has a really cute head tilt and puppy ears lift that gets lots of "aaahhs " .With nice soft fur , it does feel slightly umoy due to the mechanisms underneath but that is standard .It really is kid friendly , even making farting sounds. Which kids love and adults get embarrassed about .Overall all this is really deilightul, it does get very irritating if your an adult,

Eugh first off I want to know why Amazon was this switched on!?!The moment I opened the box it started yapping and talking at me. I am sure I looked like a good comedy show trying to figure out where the off switch off before my daughter could see this.I ended up throwing into a cupboard and bringing it out again when kids were in bed.There was no easy way to switch this off.I pretty much had to take it out of the box altogether.Now to the dog. He is very cute. This is something that I think most of us would loved ourselves when we were kids. He barks and talks and has around 80 or so phases. I haven’t heard them all yet.

As many reviewers have noted, this toy arrives with the sound on which could potentially ruin the surprise once gift wrapped. It is possible to turn off the toy without removing the toy from the original packaging. From the front of the package, reach underneath the back right paw just behind the brown string that secures the paw to the box. (See the attached photo.) You may need to "peel back" a bit of the fur, but you should find a switch that is flush with the toy. Slide that switch all the way in the direction of the dog's tail. And enjoy the silence until the toy is opened!I will edit this review after Christmas when the child has had a chance to play with it thoroughly.But since I couldn't

So, so cute. Chatty Charlie has big soft floppy ears, huge adorable eyes and a cute little pink tongue. The interactive aspect to this toy though makes it so appealing, he waggles his ears, wags his tail, and has 80+ phrases so his interactions don’t get too repetitive. Admittedly his accent is a little American but not too much so. His collar also lights up and he has motion sensors so he responds to movement in front of him, and a touch sensor on his back that responds to being stroked.When the toy arrives, it is pre-loaded with batteries and set to demo mode so he starts talking before you even unpack him, the switch is located under his backside.

As I think someone has already said, the dog arrived already switched on so when we were opening the box all we could hear was the dog barking and talking. Goodness knows what the delivery driver could hear in his van, as any movement makes it talk. We had to cut the dog out of the box to turn the batteries off, which is a shame really, because my grandson won't get the pleasure now so seeing this in the box.Unfortunately it's not very cuddly so a very younger person won't be able to snuggle up to Charlie. This is due to the battery container. Although the talking/barking will drive adults mad, it's quite an aww dog and should make you smile.

This is the choice for you if you do not want to go outside when it is raining for a walk with your dog, do potty training with a young puppy, or be woken up by barking in the middle of the night. Instead spend £40 and get a fluffy dog that will fall to sleep really quickly, not poop everywhere, and be a friend to your young one.The dog barks and then translates the bark. You can scratch its back which Charlie enjoys. Plus the ears twitch.My young daughter loves this furry friend but dogs are not just for birthdays.A real puppy teaches you responsibility, gives you exercise, and is unpredictable.

This dog is so cheeky, he wags his tail, his collar lights up and his ears flap. He has more than 80 phrases and barks which are activated by touching his back or movement in front of his eyes. If this is for a gift you need to hide where it wont be activated. I put mine in the bedroom prior to hiding it from prying eyes and every time I walked past it it kept coming out with its cheeky phrases and noises. It seems well made and up to serious play. He is hard bodied and covered with fur, he will give loads of play, fun and cuddles. When his batteries run out they need to be replaced with 4 x AA.

The best way to view this toy is play the video supplied by Amazon. The short clip says much mre than I can write. Charlie has automated ears, head and tail. He can say over 80 different words and phrases. I believe the collar is the sensor that picks up motion which kicks him in to life. The 8 year old girl doesn't care for cuddly toys too much, but loves this. The 5 year lad also loves it. But because it is constantly talking or barking it has been banished to the kids bedrooms.Batteries are included.

This has been an immediate hit in our household. An adorable soft furred and well designed cuddly doggy which interacts with the words you say and movements you make.The voice that comes out of the toy is very cheesy and American but my kids absolutely love it. It comes with batteries installed so straight out of the box it immediately starts yapping and talking to you.A wonderful toy which has hopefully staved off the 'daddy can we have a dog conversation for a few more months!

Dog itself is great- but packaging badly squashed when delivered. It's a shame I have to remove it from the box for wrapping, as it's too ripped to use.Furthermore, it's recently showing at Asda for £40 and also includes a special edition mask. Shame really, I thought it was good value for money, but annoying that I could have got it cheaper- with a free dress up mask for dog & child which my granddaughter would have loved.You win some, you lose some I suppose.

We’ve nicknamed him Buster! He’s quite cute, doesn’t really do much but 2 year old seems to like him although she moves on from him pretty quickly when playing. Can’t really do much so is a bit boring I suppose.
