I love our two Golden Retrievers, but keeping up with the shedding is a never-ending battle. I purchased the large FURminator as well as the FURminator deShedding Shampoo. The FURminator did the best job of pulling out the undercoat I have ever seen as well as doing it with the least amount of effort I've ever used. Terrific invention. The FURminator deShedding Shampoo is unbelievable. It is a coconut base shampoo with plant proteins, herbal extracts, Vitamin E, Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids, aloe vera and plant extracts. From what I can tell, it seems to be formulated with all natural ingredients. The directions say to leave it on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing.

I have 2 dogs with horrible undercoats, no rugs and ceiling to floor windows which show up every single hair on the flooring. I vacuum every day and they get a bath about once every 2 weeks. I have been using the Furminator brush and have recently tried the shampoo and solution. I always take a lot of time bathing the dogs so I didn't expect much hair in the drain this time. I must say I did get more than I had expected. And it seemed to be very soft hair. I don't know if that is just because the shampoo and conditioner made the hair soft or not. The shampoo has a nice coconut odor that is not strong and the conditioner has a flowery smell that does last on the dogs but it is not overpowering.

I will say first and foremost that im very impressed with this product for multiple reasons. I have two dogs(a jack russell and a german shepard), one that in the winter months seems to have sensitive/itchy skin. He always seems to be itchy. I first use the waterless one(which took a while to apply but ended with the same results as the regular shampoo). Then a week or so later (once it was warm enough to bathe outside) use the regular shampoo. A week later and multiple days playing and rolling in the dormant grass outside he still smells fresh and clean and his coat is still very silky. The shampoo has seem to help his itchy skin because it has all but stopped.

I have a french bulldog and a puggle. Both shed all of over my house! I bought this shampoo a month ago... I don't know what I did before it!The shampoo lathers very well. The bottle suggests leaving the shampoo on for at least five minutes. I give my dogs a five minute massage with the shampoo on... they love it. You can feel the product working. The shampoo washes off easily. I also bought the furminator conditioner. It makes their fur feel really soft. I highly recommend buying the furminator brushes. My dogs have the blue colored one. I brush my dogs down after they get out of the bath. At that point, their hair is very loose from the bath. TONS of hair falls off of them. It's incredible.

The product is the best shampoo I’ve ever used on my dog.Firstly it has a great scent which, although not overpowering like dog parkour washes after they return home, still in noticeable. Most importantly she doesn’t get that dreadful, ‘wet dog smell’ after home baths.Secondly, this product lathers up beautifully to a rich lather with a regular amount of shampoo compared to other products which I often used two palm sized amounts on my collie cross.In addition , it rinses of easily and when her coat is dried leaves it beautifully shiny through its moisturising properties.Lastly, her shedding has massively reduced between weekly washes as her coat is in better condition.I am certainly going to continue buying this product.Yes it’s more expensive than others,

My lab sheds often and a lot. I have the Furminator brush, but when I saw this shampoo (and the conditioner),on special offer, I thought why not give it a try.Both products works great and smell great too. Perhaps they work because you're washing your dog for 5-10 minutes per shampoo and conditioner, or perhaps they just work great. The scent lasted for much longer than his pethead shampoos ever did.My only issue was with the delivery. The shampoo and conditioner shipped in different parcels and both opened during shipment. I took pictures and contacted amazon customer service. They sent out a free replacement bottle of conditioner & refunded my purchase price for the shampoo.

Didn't really expect too much from this but using it with the conditioner and deshedding comb its absolutely amazing. Literally filled a black bin liner of my dogs fur. He looks stunning and smells lovely. Never had results like this from any other product I've tried. I'd give 10 stars if I could cause 5 just doesn't seem enough. 110% recommended to everyone. My Lab x Akita looks the best he's ever looked in the 3 years I've had him and he seems alot happier now he's lost about a stone in fur ha ha. Thank you very much for what I can only say is THE best deshedding shampoo and conditioner out there. Fantastic. Will defiantly be buying alot more of this.

The shampoo was bubble wrapped only covering the length of the bottle, the top and bottom were uncovered and as a result the lid had come loose and my packaging was soggy and smelling of coconut! Inside the packaging was wet and it was obvious a lot of the shampoo had leaked. Upon settling, I saw at least 1/3 of the shampoo was missing.Considering what I paid for the product PLUS the additional P&P, I am very disappointed and will not use this company again. I have 2 dogs so this would have been a regular order on my part as the product itself is fantastic.Get the P&P sorted!!!!!

I love this shampoo! Was great for my dogs, recently my cats picked up fleas!!! I thought I have to do something it was a Sunday and I wanted frontline flea treatment. But had to wait till the Monday. I used a nit comb to brush out as much as possible, then thought wash them! It was not a fun job but the fleas just dropped off both my cats! After scrubbing in the shampoo I showered them down!! I couldn't believe how many came off!! Amazing shampoo!! My dogs coats were always shiny and they smelled great too!! Definitely recommend!! X

I was a little hesitant buying this shampoo...I didnt know what it smelled like or how it worked, but I ordered it anyway (my vet in Oregon recommended Furminator products for my overly sheddy dog). The shampoo smells great!!!! It smells like coconuts...I was expecting some weird unusual medicated smell I guess. Of course my hands were covered in dog hair when I was done, but my dog was so clean, smelled great and her coat was beautiful! I am so glad I decided to get it...I think next time I will use gloves. :)

I use the Furminator shampoo first and then I put this on and leave it for 10 or so minutes, rubbing it in (tons of hair will come off on your hands). The only problem is keeping your dog occupied while it sits. After rinsing it off and towel drying the dog (tons more hair comes off while drying, I use the furminator tool to take the rest of the hair off. I have a small 17lb French Bulldog and I swear after using the shampoo, the solution and the tool what comes off her looks like a whole other dog.

I used this today on my heavily shedding German Shepherd. I thought it smelled really good, like the coconut snow cones I use to have as a kid.It is a nice blue-colored shampoo, so they must use some strong coloring in it. It doesn't list all of the ingredients so I suspect there is coloring and fragrance added. I'd rather it have a full ingredient list.Overall, 4 out of 5 stars. It is a nice shampoo, but I wonder what it contains that I don't know about and that isn't listed.

I bought this for my 3 cats and 1 medium-haired dog. Not only do they not seem to mind the smell, I love it too! It smells like summer!! I have used it with the DeFurminator brush (AFTER they are dry of course!) and I have noticed a decrease in their shedding. The only downside was since the dye is blue you have to make sure if you put it on a light-colored coat animal that you massage it in quickly- we had a tough time rinsing the color out of our yellow dog the first time.

was a little bit sceptical about de-shedding shampoos, as tried different brand and didn't see any results. but owning FURminators de shedding combs i thought I'll give a try as company seems to be dedicated to de-shed our dogs :) We have westie and she is shedding quiet a bit certain times of the year and washing her with this shampoo and using de-shedding waterless spray problem dissapeared almost completely. Price is premium but you have results. Very impressive.

This item arrived 4 days earlier than I expected which was impressive. The shampoo smells great, really great and a little goes a long way. It lathered up well and washed off easily. Our dog’s fur is now beautifully soft, she smells good and I actually think it has helped with the amount of fur she sheds. Best of all we no longer get that powdery residue on our hands when we stoke her. The lid is a little flimsey but it doesn’t effect the product.
