Graphics:Graphics are absolutely brilliant, interiors look real and every detail is like the real car, textures are great. only problem with interior is sometimes the speedo is out - im going 262mph on the game speedo but 258mph on the cars speedo, no big problem though. outside cars are almost real, again, textures are perfect and the scenery also, apart from the distant stuff like background scenery, is also amazing, colours are really good and lighting/shadowing is also good. attention to detail is great! damage is annoying frankly, in my opinion either have full damage like you get on burnout paradise or give us no damage, i dont like having a really nice car and then crashing it into a wall at 260mph,to get some scratches on the front of the car, ruining the look of the car but not making me go 'WOW look at that damage!'Graphics - 19/20Gameplay:controls are just as i'd like them to start with, but can be customised to different preferences easily using the options and it also caters for multiple steering wheels, works great with mine (and its not an official microsoft one), the feel and handling of the cars is the best of all racing games ive ever seen, that includes gt5 on ps3, there is a huge amount of cars, still not as many as gt5, but still - 500 is good enough for me. there is also a variety of cars, hypercars like the porsche carrera gt, supercars like the lamborghini murcielago lp640, 4x4s like the jeep grand cherokee srt-8 to hatchbacks like the fiat 500, classics like the ford mustang and Nascars. This 'Ultimate Edition' also includes all DLC and the special 'stigs garage' DLC, which means even though this is a 2009 game, there is many 2010 and 2011 cars in there. the only niggles with gameplay are the AI, while in my opinion better than gt5's, still not as good as they can be - gt5 ones act as though you arent there - will drive into a corner as they would if you werent there and shunt you off, forza 3's dont annoy me, but they are far too easy and seem to drive slower than i can in a straight line with the same car, and there isnt any way to change the driving difficulty of the AI. speaking of difficulty, one of the selling points of forza was its appeal to a variety of gamers, from pro experienced 'leet' racing gamers to average ones to newcomers, it does this well, apart from the easy AI, leet gamers can take all assists off making for a fun but..not difficult, just raw driving experience, kind of like driving a real car minus all electronic stability stuff - still easy enough but keeps you on your toes, then for newcomers they can put all assists like traction control and stability assistance and gradually turn them off as they get better.Gameplay - 18/20game modes:the career mode is very long! it has a wide variety of events like drag racing, circuit racing or endurance racing. ive owned the game since release and i still havent completed it, theres just so much to do! Completing races over time allows you to obtain enough money to buy new cars and upgrade them, you also get a car free with every level, for example i got the bugatti veyron for free at a level (unsure as to which one) and i upgraded it to have 1280bhp and 1100 lbs/ft of torque - 262mph!! It can get a bit boring though because when i say variety of events, there is, but there is endless amounts for each, and the levelling system doesnt work with it - i got to level 50 (highest level) with only 24% game completion because of the sheer amount of races and lack of levels, you also get xp online to add to that and bonuses each race for having assists turned off. this means i dont really see the point in completing the rest of the game as i have 920 gamerscore, level 50 and all cars unlocked. only one thing would make me want to complete the rest which is an 80g achievement, but even that doesnt seem worth it. The online never gets boring, although it can get annoying because of people who dont play it properly (all racing games have this) and i think its one of the best racing games online there is, theres different modes aswell like circuit racing, endurance race and playground like tag. then there is the arcade mode which allows you to set lap times in hot lap and race against computers and allows you to use your career cars, aswell as all of the factory cars.game modes: 16/20Music & Sound:The music is decent but not as good as forza 2, the menu music never seems to change, its not a song really, just background noise, i dont particularly like it, but neither do i hate it. forza 2 had a wide selection of well known songs that i'd heard before, but hadnt bought or listened to properly, which was great. the in game music i cant comment on as i turned it off, i prefer to hear the games sounds. the game sounds are very good, almost all cars sound pretty much as they do in real life, with a few exceptions like the lamborghini murcielago which just doesnt seem to sound as it does in real life, however i dont know of any game that does. crashes sound realisticMusic & Sound: 18/20verdict - if you like racing games, have read these reviews, seen it has all the dlc, played the demo, saw the unbelievably cheap price and havent started moving the cursor to the 'add to basket' button, there is something wrong with you

I got this for Christmas having asked for 'a good racing game' and I have not been disappointed. I admit I was hoping for NFS Hot Pursuit as I read about that after writing my Christmas list for the family, and that sounded fun as I really enjoyed the Burnout games on PS2 and to an extent, Burnout Paradise. I've never been one for realism in racing games as they're just so damn hard usually and I find it impossible to stay on the track and not smash my car up every time you have to turn a corner without going at a snails pace for the entire race. However...Forza Motorsport is amazing. It is realistic and challenging, but is still great fun even for those who are not veteran racers.I've played it for many hours now and have reached about level 30, and so far I've not had a race end prematurely due to my vehicle being in several pieces, which has happened in just about every other racing game I've tried to play recently like Grid on PS3, or the old Colin McRae games. One of the main reasons for this is the customisable difficulty setting. There are the usual kind of settings - easy, medium, hard etc but having chose one, you can then turn on/off assists which make the game easier in different ways e.g. auto braking, traction control, stability control, automatic gears etc. There are enough options in the difficulty settings to suit any level of gamer and so the game can be as difficult and challenging or as fun and simple as you like. The other obvious reason is the gameplay. The cars handle brilliantly (obviously this depends on your skill and the car's individual handling) and are all great fun to play with. Even the lowest classed cars are pretty good fun, but when you get up to some of the high end sports cars and start upgrading them you can really feel the power behind them, and still they remain fun to drive and not too difficult to race with, even at speeds of 200mph+.The RPG element of the game is great too. As you complete events and competitions you gain XP and credits to spend on new cars or parts for your current cars. By upgrading cars you can make them much more powerful, and by them using them and winning races, they gain value and you can sell them on to buy even better ones. There is a lot of customisation available too. If you fancy yourself a bit of an artist you can spend hours painting and designing your cars in pretty much any way you want, and there is the chance to go into great detail in that department too. If you fancy yourself a mechanic you can tune your car setup how you want it, though I have not really used it as I know nothing about that. With about 400 cars and 100 tracks there is tons to do on the game, and the levelling up is very addictive. I've not played much online but there are quite a few different modes to play which I'm sure will keep me entertained after I've finished the seasons on single player. The graphics too are some of the best and every track looks great as you're driving round. Some of the cars are simply stunning and all can look good once you've painted them and added some decals to the design. My only complaints about the game are the in race music - which I turned off completely (though the music in the menus is actually fantastic and I love it all) - and the fact that you can't see a birds-eye-view of each track before you play. I think that if they had added that it would make choosing a car for each race much easier as some tracks are suited to speed merchants, while others require more careful handlers and speed over shorter distances. But these are fairly small complaints really and overall I'm thoroughly happy that I got the game and realised that I actually do like real racing games after all.All in all this game is one of the best packages around and as long as you have an interest in driving around at the highest speeds in some really awesome cars then you should definitely buy it without hesitation.Gameplay - 10/10Presentation - 10/10Single Player Mode 9/10Graphics 9/10Sound 9/10Longevity 10/10Overall 9.5/10

I have been gaming on a PC for years, the last console I really played on was a PS2, and I had a serious Gran Tourismo addiction. In fact, I only played gran tourismo and final fantasy before I went back to my PC.I have a wii, but the rubbish graphics drive me away and I leave it for the wife to burn fat with.So now, here I am with a new hobby of Forza and its fun!Xbox live makes this far better than the PS2 driving action I used to do. When you complete a race, you get a leader board position. Now, this position is from every xbox live account who has done that car class and race, making a races mean more, as every one can see how good you are (or bad!). Its nice to beat a million other players on this board, but still, there are always more above you, driving you to race harder...........................The driving is spot on, understeer, oversteer, wheel spin, and other mechanics are handled with realism. The handling of cars in the game can be tweaked to perfection, taking a lot of skill and knowledge to get just right. If this doesn't float your boat, there is a online auction house where you can buy a car setup that some one else has tuned up. The cars also, as in real life, handle differently and you can see the best cars for a track from the leaderboard where all the best laptimes tend to be done by the same car for that track. The online racing is fun, I keep making an online private party to race my mates and have a hoot. You can turn off the collisions to stop being rammed into the sand, you can turn on damage and have a destruction derby race. We are currently playing tag, where you try and keep the "it". Its so funny being in a high powered car and driving the wrong way around the track to smash into your mate head on as he is it! Racing against each other is fun, you can go for position or race against each other for best lap time. Now, my PC is a ninja machine and I am finding it hard to come to terms with how blocky some of the graphics are in Forza on the 360. It is not terrible, but I was let down by it, while my mate says they are awesome. I am being picky though, and it doesn't stop me from playing the game until the wee hours of the morning. The only thing that gets to me about this game is that it doesn't encourage you to stick with a car to earn money and buy a new one to do higher rated races. I suppose it makes the game career mode quicker and faster paced, but I liked being stuck with a car and having to tune it up to earn the money to buy an even faster car that happened in Gran Tourismo. To be honest, that is the only difference I can see between this and GT3 (apart from the graphics and multiplayer). This game gives you cars every 2 seconds it seems like!Even the online auction house buying is fun, getting into bidding wars to buy some tuned up beast for just a few credits or making your own car stickers to sell. The cars get a rating depending on what upgrades you do, so to get into a class you need up to 600 points, for example, but to do this bang on is tricky. If you bang on the biggest engine upgrage with a big exhaust, you don't have the budget to upgrade the suspension and braking on a lot of cars, so again, the huge span of the game adds another feature of just stretching out the biggest hp and handling setup from your points budget. The sound is awesome, my 5.1 tv surround sound setup drove my 4 year old to bed early as I thundered around in a V8 monster as it was so loud, and when a car gets to the side of you, it makes you jump. I don't get to play on my big tv with the 5.1 stereo that often, but forza is an excuse to banish the wife out of the house. Its fun, and when you get bored, there is always something else to do. 5 stars all the way, bring on Forza 4 with its Kinect control......................

This is a terrific driving game and this particular edition, with all of the DLC, is the definition of value for money. I have long been a fan of the Gran Turismo series, on PS1 and PS2, but this game has moved driving games a generation forward. Allow me to review with a few bullet points....The graphics are very good but I do think that they could be improved slightly. Sometimes the game is stunning but there are occasions where it is just average. There are plenty of cars to keep you interested including some very special models like the Ferrari P4, one of my favourites. There are plenty of options to customise your cars and not just under the hood; the ability to adjust the look of your caris most welcome and the degree to which you can do so is a minor miracle. The career mode is excellent with lots to keep you going.I have not raced online but have no doubt it will run very smoothly. In a stroke of genius the developers have incorporated some wonderful online community ideas. You can auction cars and buy other peoples cars in what is essentially e-bay within game - This is one of the best ideas ever as far as I'm concerned. You can also buy paintjobs for your cars that other players have created. The driving mechanics are solid and there is great variability in them depending on the driving aids you use.Sorry if this review is not detailed enough for you but I have tried to keep it as concise as I can with the simple message that the game is great and I recommend it to you. HOWEVER.... I will just add that I possibly prefer Race Driver:Grid and Dirt 3 to this game. I might be tempted to spend more and buy them than this as a personal choice. Fortunately I haven't had to choose and happily own all of them. I recently purchased Gran Turismo 5 and at present I prefer Forza 3. Let me add that Gran Turismo is being changed significantly and for the better through free updates and it remains to be seen whether or not Forza 3 will hold onto its edge. Has to be said that it's probably a bit more fun and not as dry, or sterile, as GT5. GT5 does offer a much larger game in my own opinion so it'll be interesting to see how things develop. That said, Forza 4 is on the way and that might turn out to be something special indeed!

Exceedingly easy to recommend this game.It is totally accessible, you can immerse yourself to whatever level you please. If you like pretty shiny things that go fast, you can turn on all the driver assists and simply follow the racing line as your car brakes automatically. Or maybe you're a test driver for Ferrari who tunes cars in their spare time. Wherever you are on the spectrum, Forza 3 probably has something for you.The graphics do a great job of representing the cars, and I have crashed whilst admiring some trees on one track. I found all the tracks fun, even the one I particularly suck at.This edition includes a shedload of extra cars. Every car is available to drive from the start, and you can buy as and when you have the cash. As you win races and accumulate experience you advance in driving level, I (embarrassingly) would be genuinely excited to see what car I would be rewarded with next. Options for customisation are extensive, you can paint, add vinyls and kit out your cars in any way you like. The driving itself does a fine job of making the cars feel different, so you'll have your favourites in particular classes and for certain races, and just favourites. The sound effects are awesome, very authentic sounding engines and tyre squeal.I had to think about what I didn't like, came up with loading times, which though not excruciating do add up if you're burning through races, (drag racing for instance). Although it is accessible and fun, it doesn't play like Need For Speed or Burnout. It's a driving sim, so I didn't find it as good for casual split screen play. Finally, the sheer amount of content can be a little daunting, you could easily sink many months into this game. The amount you play is up to you of course. Forza 3 actually leaves pretty much everything up to you.I don't use Xbox Live so can't comment on any of the online features. You'll need it to access the Top Gear stuff.A snip at this price.

Forza Motorsport 3, I got the non-Ultimate edition and have had for over a year or two and loving it. If you've played driving games before and found that there aren't a lot a races to do then don't worry all your troubles will be over cos this game has 100's to Thousands of races which will be exciting and enthralling the whole way through, yea it can getting a little tiring but to me I don't care cos I love racing on this game as its awesome. Plus some people may use the Create A Vinyl option and think oh I don't think I do any amazing vinyl's on this. Well they aren't correct cos you can create awesome vinyls using your imagination and artistic skills by using various shapes and letters and everything else to create a work of art.Which is exactly what I have done. I have created a few amazing vinyl's. Like an Xbox360, Controller and Kinect all together. I done my own SuperRaveman Logo (Which is the alias I go by).I have done a rave concert, Meowth from porkemon, a poke ball, a manor house, chain chomp from mario, and a piranha plant from mario. You can do anything you like. This game is just full of pure Awesomeness, its got a lot of cars and you can upgrade any of them or let the computer upgrade em for you. Which in my opinion is a more better idea for those who can't be bothered or if its your first ever racing game I would insist on letting the game upgrade your cars for you. I think I've almost covered everything so all that's left is for me to rate it.Racing, Graphics, Physics, Realism. I'm gonna give it 5/5Create A Vinyl, Decals, Painting. I'll give it a 5/5Tuning, Upgrading, Assists/Difficulty, Test Driving, Cars.I 'll have to give it a 5/5All In All Super Impressive Racing Game With A 100% Satisfaction And I'm Pleased To Say That You Should Most Definitely Buy This Game. Is Just Too Awesome To Ignore.

I haven't been able to go a day without having at least 30mins of play on this. This is the racing game i have been looking for all my life !If your an artistic type you can design your own paint schemes for your cars and sell them for in game credits which can then be spent on bigger/faster cars. Likewise if you have some car mechanics knowledge you can sell different tuning setups, or you can just sell a full car with all your mechanical and artistic skills combined. One thing that annoyed me was that when i first got this i installed everything from the xbox dashboard, including all the extra bonus content. But the game wasn't happy doing the installation that way,so i had to delete it all and redo it installing the second disc using the in game option. But the problem is that the "stigs garage" content can only be downloaded once and is not linked to your account. So i have no way of trying those extra cars i paid for ! Plus there is no way to contact the people who make the game, there email address has been removed from there website due to getting to many emails !Apart from that small niggle i would completely recommend this to anyone looking for a fun racing game.

i bought forza 3 cos it was the first game i got for my first xbox 360... now on my third... i thought i'd jump back on the bandwagon. forza 3 is a really great game although i dont actually play it much as i already had forza 4 and the controlls are a bit different and the interace in completely different, but small niggels aside the game is really sound. the driving physics are basically identical to forza 4 and the cars may not be as high quality as those in forza 4 but they are still stunning to look at. the game has loads if features like the ability to upgrade and tune almost every aspect of your car given you have enough credits,i mean you wont be adding stuff like smoked light clusters and underbody neon but you can still make some pretty awsome cars. you can even make custom vynils of stuff like number plates and custom logos. the pain is completely customisable too and you can make your car a 2 tone perlescent custom mix and put loads of sponsor logos on it to make it look like a real racing car... 5 stars for fun and overall 4 stars only because of my being used to forza 4.

I was a PS3 and PC fan for a very long time especially when coming to racing and driving simulators, however, a 20 minute spin in a porsche 911 GT3 around FUJIMI KAIDO at a friends house and I was utterly and completely hooked!I was fortunate enough to have my birthday coming up around that time and was given an xbox 360, I went out and bought that game and until the release of Forza 4 had racked up around 300/400 hours of game play OFFLINE!!!!It was everything I wanted of a racing simulator and more, the opportunity to perform insane engine swaps and add real body kits to the ccars was great, the cars them selves were amazing and look and sound great and the phyics in the game were not up to PC par but still pretty great!I felt the graphics were amazing and the tracks were modelled/made up really really well! It's such a great game, I don't think there's even anything negative to say about it!Seriously!!I'd recommend it to anyone, even though it's an old game now, I still pop back to it for some good engine swap fun and to play around on the long italian track!

Despite only having had this game a short while I have to say this game is excellent! It offers excellent graphics with very realistic details including different handling characteristics for each car and realistic sound of the engines. Its a very addictive game and in the couple of weeks I have had it I have been playing it constantly. The add on packs with the Ultimate Addition are great and offer a lot of extra cars and tracks too. The depth of the game is amazing with all the main manufacturers present and a long list of cars to choose from and unlock. All the cars are customisable and you can switch on or off driver aids when you are feeling confident to add to the fun or generate extracredits for race wins.I asked around before I bought this game what was the best racing game for the Xbox and I have to agree with them it is this one!

Buying this game was a great spend, especially this version!Having enjoyed it on original release i was more than happy to get it with all the added content.Since then, I have bought Forza 4 and found it to be of no real value compared to this previous version. The game is the same, and with Xbox being so old, there is very little graphical difference due to the system being dated as far as GPU... there is only so much that can be done, and with the games tech now far higher than the xbox is capable, the games are now talking about how great they look but have to add an extra disc for graphic downloads... F4 does not have this so its a waste of money when 3, with all the addons is now available, and cheaper.Maybe when the next xbox comes out and F5 arrives it will be time to move on, but for now, 3 is worth it, 4 not!

This game is far better than Gran turismo 5PROS:This game nearly has over 500 carsThe graphics are still even amazing nowThe car sounds are FANTASTIC the 458 in this game is the cloest car sound i have ever heard, sound like real life unlike gt5There are loads of tracks to play on this gameyou get all the dlc and the game for less than £10The game has a great auction house feature, you can gift cars to friendsThe upgrading on the cars is not like level 1,2,3,4 it is carb, exhaust, camshaft, etc.. very good tuningCONSErm... a bit hard to earn moneyCockpit view isnt good unless you ajust it, you sit too far forward but you can use multiscreen to sit further back so not a con really, you can fix it.Great game, i still play it nearly every day and CANT wait for forza 4Get this game!!

This is quite simply the best Driving game on any platform. From hardcore racing to pottering around in a pimped up Mini, it cansuit anyone's dream of what a driving game really should be.It's amazing how hours can go by as you modify the mechanics, and thebeatify the exterior with hundreds of colours and decals. If your patient you can create your on decals and sell them, you cansell your cars and your set-ups too.Race on your own or against the world, if you are good enough, I likethe timed leader boards. It is quite addictive to better your time andtry to move up the scoreboard.500 cars to drive, to enhance, and to make pretty! What more could you want. I had Forza 2 a while ago. My friend had the new Forza 3 and always went on about how good it was so I thought Id'e get it too.It is absolutely amazing!Graphics - 5/5AI difficulty 5/5Range of cars 5/5Range of tracks 5/5The ability for it not to get boring 5/5I really cant fault this game! It's so much fun to play. Some racing games get boring as in all racing games you just go round and round different tracks. However, the way you can tune cars and because there are so many different cars, the game just doesn't get boring! You can now sell your car graphic designs on the marketplace for credits. All the extras you get with the ultimate addition are worth getting too. This game, for this price, you cant go wrong!I highly recommend Forza 3!

The huge scale of this game can only really be seen after you have loaded the huge amount of additional content onto your hard drive. So many cars and tracks its difficult to know where to start, but helpfully the menus are easy to navigate and the game throws races at your that it knows you can compete in with current cars. There is also a handy option that allows you to give your car optimum race spec for the class that its in. Which is nice for when you want a race to be competitive, but not overly easy.I would recommend the ultimate package over any of the other deals, especially if you are interested in the special cars as to buy them later online will cost you loads and loads more.
