I haven't used this tape extensively yet, but so far so good. It has a comfortable grip that's not too cushy. It was the first time I wrapped my bars and was easy enough to do. Of course it took about 6 tries to get it right. Depending on how you wrap it, you can show the side of the tape with the "Fizik" pattern or show the hole pattern. After a couple of tries I decided on the hole pattern. The instructions on the package didn't say whether there was a correct side. A couple reasons why this gets 4 stars... The bar ends didn't fit, so I re-used my old ones. Like I said, this was my first time so maybe there's a trick I need to learn. A hammer didn't help. And the finish tape is not very attractive.

Not used Fizik tape before, as I have been a standard tape kinda guy. As I decided for a change to go with a colour that matches some details on my Whyte Suffolk I want for this orange tape.So some great details in the tape to aid fitting, the ends are plain to show how much to lap on the bar ends, then the tape is 70/30 split to show you overlapping size.I fitted over bar gels as I am doing John O'Groats and didnt want to have gloves on all the time, and the gels and this tape looks and feels fantastic for shock and bad road vibration.The finishing tape/closure tape is nice and stretchy so gives a tight and clean finish

The final product is excellent. It Doesn't get dirty, a little cushy if you overlap over the line and keep out the perforations. The bar end caps hold themselves in very nicely. The only annoying thing is when wrapping one side of the handlebars, you need to start from the inside of the role, not the outside. They could have just spun it differently and labeled it. It didn't take too long to figure out. They are as good as I bought them a month ago and have put ~400 miles on them. I would probably recommend this tape over any others for a road exerciser to racer. Other companies also carry a similar type of bar tape.

Nothing better than Fizik handlebar tape. The look, the feel, the padding... everything is 'just right.' Back in the 80's when I raced, we used Benotto handlebar tape which was excruciatingly thin; but we paired that with nice, thick CyclePro gloves. These days the gloves are so under-padded, you need additional padding in the bar tape. This Fizik tape in my view is the correct thickness to keep hands from getting numb without making you feel like you're sinking into too much foam. You can also use Bullseye shellac on this tape, and it'll practically wear forever.

A little more money than some other tapes out there but so worth it. Application was fine. Strong enough that you could pull it tight without ripping. The padding is generous and feels wonderful on those longer rides. Lets me wear thinner gloves which I find to be a tad more comfortable. Plenty grippy even when wet. Can't speak to its longevity yet but quality is there so I feel I won't need to replace any time soon. Got the red color and its perfect.

I love this tape. I just had to replace it and I used the exact same kind and color. The color on the old tape is just as bright as the brand new, the only reason I had to replace it was because it was starting to rub through. Normal wear and tear, considering it's been on there for 4 years (about 8k miles)I don't rate many products, but the durability, color, once I put it on it didn't move around on the bars. I can't say enough good things.

I bought the bar tape for my mountain bike as the bar grips kept sliding off and I also wanted something unique to my bike so my favorite color being green and in need of grip tape I bought these. There is plenty of length, not very hard to remove, if wrapped tightly the first time there is not slippage, if they get wet the don't hold water at all, and they look cool. There are no negatives in the two months or so i have owned them.

Took the Red 3mm for a ride today and it feels good. Followed the Parktool youtube video and wrapped my '86 Trek I still ride as a daily. Love that the edges are chamfered, makes wrapping even and tight smooth with no bumps. Had to trim the plugs locking tabs to get them to close up further but they worked well. Includes finishing tape and some trim pieces for the drops. I had at least 4 or 5 inches left over on each side.

The texture is great - comfortable, but it has a lot of grip. This tape seems pretty durable. I use this on my daily commuter, and it has held up to Minnesota's cruel winters, depressing autumns, rainy springs, and the blistering heat of summer with aplomb. The apple green color is eye-catching and has remained bright after several months of use.

Fizik lasts forever. I've had the same roll of tape on my race bikes last for as long as 2 1/2 seasons, only to be torn up by crashing. Not cushy but your hands get used to it. Only complaint is that they don't have any real grip, so you can't rest your forearms on them if you're soloing and want to imitate an aero position.

I have used several brands of handlebar tape except for Lizard Skin. The Fizik tape is not thick but is very good at dampening vibrations and providing a sure grip. The handlebars suffered a significant impact during a crash and I couldn't even tell where the impact on the handlebars was. Not even a scratch.

Pretty good overall, is a very thin bartape when stretched to apply. The plug ends fit securely, which is a big thing for me since lots of companies seem to include undersized ones. My only gripe is that the length could be a little longer, I really had to stetch to cover my average-sized bars.

After several tapes that were impossible to clean after only a couple of rides, I was looking for something that was actually possible to keep clean. This cleans up fine with soap and water, unlike the many other types that only claim that. Combined with gel underneath since it isn't padded.
