I want to start by saying this saddle is very comfortable to sit on despite firm padding, probably due to the nice flex in the body. Some really good engineering has gone into this saddle. However, it does not work for me. The groove along the centre is quite narrow (~1.5 cm), as is the nose (~4 cm), which steeply rounded off towards the edges. That means if you're in a more aggressive position, much of your weight is placed on two thin strips at the edge of the central groove, which isn't wide enough to accomodate the perineum. For me, this meant it a bad saddle for pain and numbness in that area.If the nose was about 1 cm wider, groove another 0.5 cm wider, and nose padding much less rounded,I think this would be a good general use saddle for aggressive road riding. But it's not. So if you're mostly riding upright and moving around in the saddle a lot, this is probably a good option. If you like to mix it up by also spending time down in the drops or aerobars on flats for more than 20% of your ride, this is a probably not a good choice.

Be aware that this saddle has carbon rails and they are thicker than an alloy rail. I had to get a longer adjustment bolt for my seat post clamp to accommodate the rails. I bought this saddle because I have an older Arione I've ridden on for many years and love it. This version is made for the "snake" (high level of pelvic flexibility; you can bend over and palm the floor without bending your knees). It doesn't have much padding and the perineum cut-out is a separate piece of plastic that joins the two wings (in the older model there is no change in material; there is simply a depression in the center of the saddle to accommodate the perineum)and I have no idea how these three separate pieces will hold up over time.I've only got around 300 miles on this saddle so far. It has taken some getting used to and, as I said above, am uncertain of how the saddle will hold up in the long run. I have my doubts...

Well, I came to give a review on my experience with it, but I now see that there are other pictures of these snapping in half.As a saddle, I never felt completely comfortable on it, but it was fine for fast-paced short rides out to 45 miles. But it broke yesterday. OK, this is odd - normally Amazon has a little window where we can attach pictures, but I don't see that here. Does this saddle get such bad reviews that they stopped allowing images of our broken saddles?29 April 2020 Edit: taken care of by Warrantee by Fizik. A replacement just arrived today

I have a Specialized Roubaix which came with a stock Toupe. It was a really painful for me to ride anything over 20 miles. I did my research and figure out that a Fizik Antares may be a good fit for me (I am a chameleon on Fizik's chart). When I received the saddle I was disappointed at first - it looked almost exact as the Toupe. But after I installed it and rode for 30 miles I changed my opinion! No pain at all! And no complaints since then! I really feel how well my saddle bones sit on my Antares!Very well made and a perfect fit! Thank you Fizik!

You would not think this seat would be as "comfortable" as it is! There is nothing to it. Like most good seats, it is most painful for the first 10 minutes of the ride, then is not noticed for an hour or two, then is noticed. Not unlike any other great bike saddle I have owned. No regrets and I love the minimalist design! Make sure you go to the manufacturer website for sizing and body flexibility typing.

My first ride on this saddle was so comfortable. It was a perfect fit, first try! For anyone who has spent any amount of time cycling, and looking for the perfect saddle, finding one on the first try is as rare as a unicorn. I don't see me investing in any saddle, in the future, other than one of these engineered beauties!

Good saddle from Fizik...definitely for the bull/inflexible type. Relatively light weight but not the saddle for the weight weenie. Something quality for the money that’s pretty comfortable out of the box. Probably not for gravel riding or mtb’ing with the thin plastic channel splitting the wings

This seat on first impression seemed very thin with little padding. I had a bit of issues with comfort up until I got it set up perfectly. Now the padding seems good in all the right place. Longest rides thus far have been 5 hours and I am still fairly comfortable with no numb nuts ??

I bought it for my road bike, it broke below in the center with just 3 months of normal use. Even the carbon braided rails are in perfect condition.I wrote Fizik's page for a claim and they sent me a new saddle in exchange, really great customer service and guarantee, congrats!

I loved this seat, but unfortunately it didn't quite fit for me. I dealt with some rubbing on the seat with my thighs. For someone with a more narrow frame this would be an excellent solution from a great brand. I wish I could have kept it, but it wasn't meant to be.

I have used lots of saddles. My go-to saddle for long days in the saddle is still my Selle SMP. However, this saddle is 183 grams on my scales and is still comfortable but just a bit harder. If you are looking for a lightweight saddle, it’s a good option.

Pricey maybe but fits great. Really pays to measure sitz bone width and get the right width. Cannot vouch for the other two styles, as a “bull” this actually works once you get used to the support of the curved back.

I have a specialized bike saddle, in the road i had every ride pain in may butt. But with this saddle it is the solution, the saddle it is confort, and any pain in the road, today i am better in the road with them.

I have ridden more than 10 thousand miles on the standard aliante. This saddle is much stiffer and has taken some time to break in. Still not as comfortable as my aliante, which is far more flexible.

Really like this saddle, especially after you get some time on it get used to/ break it in. Would recommend if this is the spine concept saddle for you.
