I got this as I was looking for a 7"/18 cm ball for my Pilates class. It was easy to inflate and is just the right size. However on arrival it had a very strong smell (a bit like vanilla, so not necessarily unpleasant, unless like me you don't like vanilla). I found that the smell transferred onto my hands, and after leaving the ball in the room for a while the smell was also quite noticeable from some distance away. Even after a month in the conservatory the smell is still quite strong when you get up close. It also has a slightly 'sticky' feel, which I am not keen on. I have not actually used the ball as my class has been cancelled due to lockdown, so can't comment on its sturdiness or comfort, but it has remained well inflated.Update - after washing the ball and leaving it for a few months the smell is now almost undetectable. It is still well inflated after 6 months, I'm now using it in classes and am happy with it.

Incredibly effective, portable and inexepesive (I only paid about UKP 5 / 6 Euro)I have a foam roller that I use at home for easing tension out of back and shoulders. However, it is far too bulky to carry when travelling. The exer-soft ball (when deflated) fits in one pocket and can be easily inflated by mouth in 30 seconds. It is almost as effective as the foam roller for some things and and better for some others. I find it fantastic releif after I have been sat at a laptop computer for too long. I use it in the middle of my back whilst laying on the floor with my arms outsretched above my head.it opens up all the shoulder and chest area that has become compressed and tight from working on a laptopm.

This ball survived just under 10 years of extreme use - it travelled around the UK with me on tour (I am a ballet dancer) and as all my colleagues and friends know I often do not leave without my Pilates ball!Unfortunately (typical of 2020) a small rip near the hole to inflate the ball has mysteriously appeared - although I did pack it in a suitcase to bring home for the holidays.I was super impressed with the life span and quality of this ball. It was of better material than the Pilates studio that I taught at so would always bring it to work :)Of course I have already ordered the same ball again to replace! Hopefully the ball I ordered is the same size as it was perfect!

I love this little red ball. It's essential to my yoga regime. (this is not to be sat on and most certainly would not hold the weight of an adult)After suffering a lower back injury - I started Yoga and my Chiropractitioner advised me to use a small-sized yoga ball between the thighs in certain poses and exercises. I have used it since every day and yes it makes a world of a difference.Apparently, the ball eases the pressure in the Sacroiliac and hip joints by allowing some space in between them. Thus stopping any compression or pinching of nerves. Please don't stop selling this. Recommend unreservedly

I needed a ball for some physio exercises for which this has proved absolutely ideal. It's nice and grippy and also squashy ( though presumably could be stiffened by blowing in more air ), plus was much easier to blow up and stopper than feared. Whilst I would hesitate to make it a minus point or actual criticism, I can't help but notice and hence point out that it does seem to have a funny smell ? Hardly unpleasant by any means ( although my cat is less than impressed as it does linger on my hand afterwards ), toxic marzipan comes to mind description-wise ! Otherwise an excellent bit of kit :-)

My wife uses the ball for relaxation and exercise. While underinflated, she uses it to cushion her neck with a rocking motion or under her sacrum while exercising her lower body.I might note two minor inconveniences:1. the inflation mechanism is a bit crude, just a small removable plastic cap and a small loose pipe to blow in. Manufacturer probably imagined the risk of losing them, since it provides a spare cap.2. out of the package, it has a strong plastic smell, but it wears off in a few days.

I can't comment on what this ball is like for yoga, gym or therapy, because I don't actually use it for a sporty thing. I use it as a base for making papier mache spheres and similar projects as it's solid enough for that kind of thing, easy to inflate and easy to deflate. From a physical standpoint it seems to be well made, soft but grippable, quite pleasing to handle.

slightly bigger then I anticipated, but it works well with the class sessions so happy with purchase. Very easy to inflate with the straw mechanism that comes with the pack. However while the stopper fits and does its job it does not fit flat with the ball. That's not a problem, but just to let you know. Its very secure and have used it several times with no issues

I needed a ball for exercises to strengthen my inner thigh in order to get my knee to track correctly and this is perfect. It's squashy and tactile and my physiotherapist likes it. Best of all, it comes flat-packed with a straw and 2 stoppers so it's portable. It can be inflated and deflated really quickly if needed. It's my favourite thing at the moment.

I bought this to use in some exercises but by accident I discovered that it is also the most perfect back support. Partially inflate it and place it behind the bottom of your spine when in front of your computer. Then lean gently against it and say goodbye to any lumbar aches and pains while you're sitting. Miraculous. I couldn't do without it now.

Really happy with these which I bought for my pilates class participants. After researching other options I was worried about quality & whether they 'd old out but so far so good. My participants love them & whilst initially they commented on their size (big) they are pleasantly surprised. Overall good quality & good value for money

I love this ball. It has a sweet scent (probably just the plastic and I'd imagine it's not even good for you, but it's quite pleasant), it's got a foamy texture and is very soft. You can even sit on it, it nearly flattens out when you do that, but wouldn't burst. A bit of a strange ball really, but is nice to use.

this product was advised to me by the physio, i was told to half inflate it and then exercise. Amazon were selling the product for at least £5-£10 cheaper than the physio shop! the product itself is strong and durable, I use it as a cushion now for my back! and it seems to take the weight!

Ball is perfectly fit for purpose, but it does have a strong smell which I find unpleasant. Hence four stars only for overall rating and comfort. I have washed it thoroughly and left it outside over the course of a few days, and and it is slowly dispersing, but be aware.

Have found these really useful. Easy to use. A couple of the 15 I have bought soon had problems with the air vent and lost their ability to retain air but in general they are a good product. Not sure how to get replacements for the two that gave up the ghost.
