I have just purchased my second pair of these shears and I was very surprised to see the complaints from some other purchasers about the robustness of these shears. I am a local footpath warden and look after many miles of country footpaths. I have found these shears wonderful for cutting everything. The long hardened blades, variable tension and telescopic handles make these shears very flexible for hedging, cutting brambles and nettles and trimming thin branches a well. My only problem has been that the telescopic extension can easily become unlocked and you need to be careful how you hold the shears to avoid this happening. I also find these shears very useful in the garden for pruning back shrubs,

Best hedge shears ever! Light, sharp and good reach. I have 3 other sets which I tried before these - sending them off to the nextlocal car boot sale.

Lightweight and versatile. Useful with long extending handles. Robust and good for most hedge cutting.
