I don't know what it is with kids, I have 3 aged 4 & under & they all just love phones of any kind, this one in particular they all love & spend hours playing with & arguing over. I had this phone [not this actual one] myself as a child & it does bring back fond childhood memories. The phone is sturdy & feels like it will last some time without bits & pieces falling off it like some of the cheaper imations. I would highly recommend this as a present to any small child who liks phones.

I purchased this telephone for my grandson who is 1 year old. He loves the ringing tone and playing with the phone part. I would say that the pull along string isn't very long and the string attaching the hear piece could be longer. I suppose they are at this length not to cause any problems with safety with small children, but apart from that the toy is very strong and should last being throw around for sometime.

As mentioned by other reviews: excellent toy (plus a fond memory of my childhood) but the cord of the receiver is very short. Sure it is for safety reason but it makes the toy a bit unpractical (child has to be strong enough to lift the whole phone to pick up the receiver and lift it to the ear).Wish my parents had kept my old "unsafe" one as the cord had the proper length.

I bought this because my little one was playing with the modern version of it at the weekend at someone's house. She's four months (so, below the recommended age for the toy) but she could play with it. She knocked off the phone and started to work out the dial. However, she did seem more engaged with the modern (and cheaper) version from Fisher Price!

I had one of these when I was a child in the late 70's / early 80's so was surprised that they were still made. Our 1 year old likes to pull it around and pretend to talk on it, although I'm sure he wonders what the cord on the handset it for. It was £5.99 when we purchased, not sure I'd pay the more regular higher price for it.

Bought for my daughter’s 1st birthday as I was feeling nostalgic. Lovely little toy and great memories were stirred! The pull rope is a little short and the rope between the phone handset and the main phone but I’m 38 and it’s not built for an adult! She loves it. Very durable and will stand the test of time. Classic toy.

Great toy. Just like the one I had when I was a kid waaaayyyy back in the 70s. The toy actually gave me nightmares where it came to life and started chasing me around the room. Which is probably why I remember it so well. Anyhow, it’s great, solidly made, and I bought it for my little nephew.

My husband and i bought one of these when our girls was little, I thought they had ceased to sell. As soon as i saw it i couldn't resist buying this for my Granddaughter for Christmas. All Toddlers love telephones. It is the perfect gift and my granddaughter will never be off the phone,

Having bought this for my daughter many years ago I didn't think they were made any more, so you can imagine my surprise that it was still available. So I bought one for my grandsons first birthday and it was a great hit (mostly with the mums and dads) but the kids loved it to

Cute but the cord is so short for safety purposes that my son has to lift the whole phone to get the earpiece near his ear. Would be better with a longer cord with detachable middle section for safety. Also, could do with a little toggle or handle on the end of the pull cord.

This is a great little toy for young children, not too complex and batteries NOT required either, too many toys are so complicated these days that this little chap is a refreshing break from the silicon world of i-pads and other gadgets. a true classic and built to last.

The toy is just what I wanted and arrived within three days of my ordering it - earlier than predicted delivery date. What a difference to the previous time I tried to order one!! My grandson hasn't seen it yet but will be thrilled with it I am sure. Thank you again

Classic! Bought it for my 1 year old niece and all the older kids ended up playing with it too, it'll never replace their xbox but its good fun for the little ones and a bit of nostalgia for us adults. The babies love turning the dial and pulling him along.

I had one of these when I was a child and so I just had to buy one for my daughter. It has given her hours of fun, although the string between the receiver and the phone is a bit short which can annoy her sometimes when she is trying to have a conversation

Love this retro FP pull along dial up phone. Had to buy it for our granddaughter as it was also my daughter's favourite toy when she was little. Had a little nostalgic trip down memory lane. Everyone loves playing with this little happy phone chappy.
