Babies like blocks. Its an age old statement, tried and tested. But blocks that can play peekaboo, one that looks like a snail and squeaks, offer multi colours and the ability to count via the embossed numbers, well it can't be a bad thing. It isn't, our little girl loves them and I guarantee that any child who is inquisitive will have hours of fun and I really mean hours - that's the key, we sit our little girl (7 months when she first had these) on her play mat and she would sit and play until fed, changed, or needed a nap. She also learned the "thank you" technique with these blocks, which is incidental but hey 8-)

This set can build it self a creative playground in the bedroom for our boy. Now (he is 8 months and a half) he just loves to hear their noise, beat with them in the floor..but sometime he stops and laughs to the fun faces apearing in each block. There are lots of things that parents can use to tell stories, like the animals and the numbers in the blocks, the diferent textures. It is also worth to keep it for later years when the kids will enjoy bigger challenges like creating patterns with the diferentes side of the blocks or matching the images. I recomend this product.

Christmas present for 10 month old grand-daughter and a great hit. At the moment she likes taking the bricks and snail out of the bucket and putting them back in again, and knocking over towers of bricks which everyone (including her 5 year old brother) builds up for her. She tries to put the bricks on top of one another and it will not be long before she succeeds.Could be another Fisher-Price classic like the Chatterbox Telephone and Music Box Record Player that we still have from my daughter's baby/toddler days in the 1970's. The next generation has enjoyed those.

My son was 13 months when he got this present. He loved it from day one. It is colourful and each block has a different face on. He plays with the blocks everyday and now that he is 16 months old he has learned how to stack them up, put them away and carry the bucket with him. They are also mega durable. They have been dropped infinite number of times and still look like new.
