My daughter really love playing with this puppy. Initially she plays and use it to scratch her gum a lot. lol because she is teething and didn't know how to pressing it to hear more songs. So each time she use it on her gum, it starts singing. i guess she thought that was the only way it can sing. I kept teaching her what to do to get more sound, but now she is 11 months and she has learnt how to press different parts of the body to hear songs. She is so excited and loves playing with it everyday. but she still uses it to scratch her gum. The exciting part is that she can press and part and tries to dance whenever the puppy is singing. Interestingly, whenever we go out with the puppy, other children rush to come around and play with the puppy; Infact, the struggle for it and always excited when they play with itThis is really an awesome toy, it is so educative, i really love it. I was shocked when i received it and i was wondering who sent us this toy. not until i read the letter that came with it and i saw an email from Mattel. Thank you so so much for this gift, it is mind blowing. thank you for selecting me to test this product. Fisher-Price products are really amazing, good and durable. I two other product my daughter got as a gift from friend, a swing and a vibrator chair. They are really good and i will keep them for her younger one. This puppy is the best , honestly i have recommended to so many people already and i will keep recommending to family and friends. It is unique, everyone that see it love it both parents and children. I love the concept behind it, you can play and learn at the same time. Fisher-Price, you did a wonderful job. Mattel you nailed it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!I really appreciate this gift. I wouldn’t mind testing your other products if you need people to test.A very big thank you to you, what an excellent product

A great purchase for a baby aged 6 months plus, or able to sit unaided. As you can see in the images the child featured is in sitting position for maximum use and on the packaging the recommended age is 6 months to 36 months. This product has one hundred words and 75 songs/ tunes to keep baby interested for three stages of growth;Sounds and lights enthrall in stage oneCounting, colours and body parts enthrall stage twoExpanding vocabulary educate stage threeAll the features are activated by pressing parts of the body. Hands, foot, ear and even the heart.Featured songs including ABC, Incy Wincy, During the demo I pressed the orange hand several times but only managed to get Itsy bitsy spider.whenbuttons pressed there are a sequence of three;#RED HANDhandred handcolour songORANGE HANDI love to sing with youmy hand is orangeheres one of my favourites, itsy bitsy spiderEAREarMy ear is blueMy ears are soft, my ears are blue dittyFOOTFootGreenI have two feet on which I danceFOOTfootwoof woofgigglesHeartHeart, heart beat ( lights up)I love the ABC'sABC songInclues 3 AA batteries. The product would be enhanced by the songs and phrases being played in rotation to prevent boredom. Im not sure if each song changes after so many presses but during the demo it became tedious but I acknowledge that repetition helps learning. Clearer advice to the parent would help.Cute puppy alco available with pink ears.

This is very much our first Fisher-Price smart stages toy. I must say that I am greatly impressed. It is very much a hands-on toy; as they are numerous press points, on the ear, hands, chest and foot to elicit a reaction. Dependent on which smart stage, which is being selected. When using a press point, you will get a reaction that equivocates to that smart stage range of replies. There are three dissimilar stages, which can be selected on the puppy. You will need to press and hold his foot to swap between the different stages. The vocal delivery, from the doll, seems natural enough, if not cutesy. The songs are relevant and have a good cognitive theme to them.I like the idea that there is colour coordination involved. It is obvious that Fisher-Price has given good attention to detail here, and has packed in educational value, without losing the natural play aspect – if that makes sense? The doll overall is lovely and soft, there are a few hard points, but no sharp edges so your young one should not hurt themselves. In my humble opinion, this is a toy that you should get some mileage out of. In addition, it should grow with the child, for a while – before you need to have to hand over your smartphone to them! All in all, worthy of a good five stars.

The Fisher Price Puppy Sister is such a soft and cuddly little dog although the body is a bit hard with the mechanism inside. With 3 different levels it works in a very similar way to the other toys in this range – pressing each says what the body part is, what colour is it and then a song/rhyme. In level 1 there are only 3 in each rotation so it gets very repetitive. In level 2 it progresses slightly asking to find specific colours/body parts – this one isn’t quite so repetitive because it will ask to find different ones. Level 3 is all about pretending – so things like stomping your feet like an elephant or hop like a bunny. I do like that the actions correspond to the body part so waving if you press the hand or hopping if pressing the foot.I also like that this one doesn’t confuse like some of the other toys from the range by introducing foreign languages. It also gets the adults involved too to show them how to hop or stomp to help reinforce what is being said. I got this for my son who doesn’t really play with it a lot but he finds the buttons easy to press and is progressing in level 2 really helping to build on his colours.

A very girly looking educational toy with the basic shape of a teddy with a very large head, droopy pink ears with mauve ribbons and a flouncy skirt. The toy is soft and cuddly and would be about a foot high standing. It is described as a "pup" called Sis.There are seven buttons, a central heart, also on the ears, hands and feet. Pressing and holding the right foot changes the level up. There are lots of jolly sing-along songs, encouragement to do movement and actions, as well as learn basic words and colours. There are various simple tasks like "find my purple hand" with a "well done" when successful. The voice is high and squeaky and could get annoying to a parent, however small children will love it.This was tested on an 18 month old girl who was able to work out the pressing and was absorbed and happy to sit and occupy herself.Batteries are included, always a bonus. The beauty of this is that as well as being educational it has the potential to occupy a child on its own, or to play together with a carer, as well as having different development stages.I think the price is very good for what is a very well thought out toy.

This beautiful, soft Fisher Price Smart Stages Puppy is well made, colourful and suitable for babies/toddlers aged 6+ months. Supplied with 3 AA batteries, the puppy’s heart lights up as it plays music and sounds to attract little one’s attention. As they grow and take in more of their surroundings, family and daily life, the puppy helps them learn colours, shapes, parts of the body, numbers and the alphabet. With 3 stages of activities and functions according to age or stage of learning/understanding this toy is likely to keep their attention as well as bringing joy and learning from baby to playgroup age.I have been buying Fisher Price toys for years, for my own children, nieces, nephews, friends’ babies/toddlers and most recently for my grandchildren. I know from experience that they are safe, age appropriate and provide many, many hours of fun, developmental learning and even simple comfort as a toy to cuddle or have in their cot/bed. This Smart Stages Puppy is no different and my wee niece, who is just at the stage 1 exploring stage, is mesmerised and giggles and laughs every time she sees and plays with it. 5*

This is a quality plush dog/deer/bear creature, who interacts via buttons on her appendages and heart. 'Sis' has an impressive number of interactions and encourages kids to sing and dance, and many other simple activities. These include identifying colours, shapes, and parts of the body. She then praises them for getting it right. It is both educational and fun, and really works. The kids loved this even though they are a bit old.It is wellmade and the numerous buttons will stand up to a good bashing, and meets all the latest safety standards. As far as is it good for parents, well it has it's pros and cons. A 'pro' would be that it means you can leave the child alone and know they are okay because you can hear them interacting with the toy.A 'con' is that after some time you might find the animals always-cheery voice has turned into an audio torture device that makes you want to strap pillows to your head.Kids, however, will just love their fluffy friend. The price is reasonable for a toy with this much interaction, and it often drops below twenty pounds.

Lovely, soft cuddly puppy with interesting textured ears and body and paws. Ideal for learning colours, words and the alphabet. It is also brilliant for cause and effect as it responds to the baby’s touch.Press the tummy and the puppy sings the ABC. Press the individual paws and the middle heart-shaped light illuminates in a variety of colours. There are three different stages of learning and these can be altered by pressing and holding the left foot. Press the right foot and the puppy ‘giggles’ and expresses it is ticklish. With 100+ words and over 75 songs, sounds and phrases, there is no end of variety with this toy and it does keep the child (and adult!)entertained for a considerable length of time. The puppy has a furry tail at its back and its 'dress' is undone by velcro. This toy takes 3 AA batteries which comes installed and supplied. To change the batteries, you need a Phillips screwdriver: this ensures that the baby does not come into contact with the batteries at any point.Gorgeous and colourful, interactive, educational soft toy

My one year old grandson has helped me review this ‘laugh and learn’ Fisher Price lives up to its name, with many happy interactions so far.The toy is easy to remove from its packaging and set up - this is important because small children and babies have little interest in waiting around while their new toy is made to work by the grown ups!Once up and running, the First Words Sis is absolutely packed with content - words to learn, songs to hear, and different touch points to explore. Neither the little one nor the grown up will get bored easily with this toy. While the learning element is well executed, and worthy, just as importantly the toy is quite cuddly and my grandson is happy just to pick her up and move her around,or place her near other teddies. First Words Sis has also borne the brunt of his occasional tantrums and continues to work perfectly after a fair bashing and the odd fling across the living room.Overall, an excellent, engaging toy which can be both a cuddly friend and a learning companion. Highly recommended.

This is a great toy for a baby which will amuse them for at least a couple of years and maybe even longer. The puppy is made from soft material with a big smiley face which attracts a young baby. It seems to be well made and sturdy. It has buttons which the baby can press and it speaks words, such as "that's my red hand" which teaches young children words for the body parts as well as colours. A plastic heart shape lights up on the puppy's front as it speaks. From age 6 months, this toy grows with the child up to about 2 years old. The first stage (explore) is where the baby can press the hand or foot to hear over 100 different first words. The second stage (encourage) from about 12 months old, teaches the child to follow instructions, count along, identify colours and body parts. Then the third stage (pretend) from about 18 months, encourages play with sing-along phrases to encourage imagination. It's a lovely gift for a baby or young toddler.

My toddler really loves this teddy! It’s very interactive and the buttons are easily for young children to press by themselves especially the heart shape on the tummy. It comes with the battery included which is great so no set up required. You can change the mode easily by pressing one of the feet. They are sorted by age, so the 1st mode just says more basic things like “red” “heart” etc more of a one word level and when you get to level 3 it’s longer sentences like “can you stamp your feet?” “I love you, you make the world so bright” there is a lot of words and content included so it doesn’t get too repetitive too quickly. It has nice music and songs, and the sound quality is good which is really important with this type of toy (pointless if the words aren’t clear!)My daughter is 21 months, and enjoyed it a lot. It’s recommended from 6-36 which I would say is correct so if you buy earlier you could get a lot of use from it. It’s great!

We have had quite a few Smart Stages toys from Fisher Price and they are always well designed and educational but most importantly my Children have enjoyed playing with them. We have also had the earlier version of this Laugh and Learn Puppy and the Puppy Sis and I love that this version has maintained the UK voice. As with other Fisher Price smart stages toys there are three different stages you can choose from but on the puppy you need to press and hold his foot to swap between stages unlike some others that have a switch. There are press points on his right ear, both hands, chest and right foot and depending on which smart stage is selected it depends on his reaction.I'm really happy they have kept the "If You Are Happy And You Know It" song but other phrases, songs and words include colours, Pat a Cake song and parts of the body.A lovely Laugh and Learn Puppy and the Smart Stages technology means this can grow with your child.

This is a lovely soft teddy which will bring a smile to the majority of little ones faces. The age range is very good, its 6 months to 3 years, which is quite a good stretch for any toy.It also has three levels to cover this period:First level baby can explore sounds and lights in different areas on Sis's bodySecond level encourages to count along, find colours and identify body partsThird engages babies in imaginative play, all while expanding their vocabularyFrom this description it’s obvious the recommend age is 100% spot on.Because of the array of different features I would say this is great value. It’s a fun cuddly educational toy and like most parents I love this aspect. It’s is a greatquality toy from Fisher-Price and a great price considering the educational level of this toy.Highly recommend!

My daughter is pregnant so when I spotted this, which was a fantastic price, I knew I had to get it.It’s even cuter than in the pictures and all the interactive elements are well thought out and not as annoying as I’d feared. It comes with batteries, even though I chose the one without but I suspect they’re just for demo so won’t last long. There are 3 levels of interaction depending on your toddlers age, each becoming more comprehensive, introducing numbers, letters etc. You change the level by pressing and holding the button on the teddies foot. Can’t wait for the baby to start playing with this.Amazing value for money and looks like an impressive gift, great for a child’s first birthday or Christmas.Hope you found my review helpful

TL; DR Version: Excellent product. The voice its programmed with could avert a beach invasion if played over loudspeakers. This thing works. Great value. Well made. Baby loves it.That's the good - and it fulfils the brief - so four stars it is.The last star, and its a BIG star - refers to how ridiculously annoying the programmed voice is. Its like the world's most annoying chipmunk trying its best to make you rip apart the teddy to find the part that's making the noise. Don't - you can just take out the batteries - but be warned. When you close your eyes at night - this thing will still be playing over and over no matter how far you take out and hurl the batteries into the nearest field.
