My little dog wore this as soon as it arrived, for she was about to go for a walk. Passing her head through the 'collar' was very difficult because it was extremely tight. She has long ears, and they became trapped. She's a medium sized dog, with a medium sized head, brainy as she is, so size M should have fitted her easily. Her previous similar harness has been fine and even was on the first wearing. I can see that it will wash fine, because it's the same material. IMO the collar part could do with being about a cm. wider. I have noticed though that the material stretches a little with use. So I stretched it and putting it on a second time was a bit easier.

This small harness is the perfect size for my Cavalier King Charles Spaniel puppy. She’s 15 weeks old. We had been given a medium size of the same brand from a Springer Spaniel who had outgrown it, both in size and strength, and found that it was a little big on her, so decided to purchase this small one. She doesn’t seem to mind wearing it, but it is a bit of a struggle getting it over her head as it is a little snug over her ears, but it fits her nicely when it is on and means that we are able to let her run a little more without me worrying about her neck. There is a reflective line on the harness which is perfect at night.Very happy with this harness and would recommend!

I ordered two of these for our Westie and Schnoodle and a medium size fits them both perfectly. We tried a large for the Westie but it was too big. The colour is lovely and the harness itself is soft and the dogs seem to find them comfortable. They are very happy walking in them and it definitely stops the coughing and spluttering of them pulling on a collar. The harness is really easy to put on, it may seem a bit of a squeeze to get it over the head at first but is fine once it's on. The harnesses are well made and a good quality and seem pretty robust. We're very pleased with our new harnesses and would recommend them to others!

I initially thought that this was a great harness until I discovered sore places behind her elbows where it had rubbed after a few long walks. It needs a longer, narrower strip that goes under the front legs so that the girth strap can fit a little further back. Also the clip should be higher up the rib cage, not tucked in behind the elbow. However, it is very secure, so instead of using this harness for our long hikes (found the Julius K9 better for that), we use it when she 'helps' me in the garden, as I need to keep her tethered (being a recently acquired rescue dog with a reputation for escaping from anywhere!).

This product is great quality but I would ignore the size recommendation in the description as the on the packaging it is completely different. Size large is for larger dogs such as Golden Retrievers. I bought this size for my Cocker Spaniel (as in Amazon's description it states suitable for King Charles Spaniels) and even though she is only a puppy at the moment I could tell that once she is fully-grown it would be too big around the girth. I am going to return and get a size medium in green once they are back in stock as the colour is lovely - exactly as shown in the photo.

I got a small for my pug puppy. It took a while for her to get used to having it put over her head but now she knows what it's all about she is absolutely fine. She still manages to get her leg in the wrong place, but is a very wriggly pup. It seems to be comfortable, she walks in it quite happily. The strap round her waist is at it's tightest at the moment so obviously that can be loosened as she grows. I'm looking for another one now in purple. She's just got a new collar and lead so it all has to match! A girl has to be co-ordinated!

Bought this for our Shih Tzu who normally doesn't like his harness although he loves walks! My friend has one of these for her Shih Tzu and thought it might be good for ours. Only a tenner, so we thought 'Why not?' Harness is very light, well padded in the chest area and took very little adjusting. Dog seems to far prefer this, even offering his head so we can slip it over, and lifting his legs so we can buckle it. Dog seems happy, therefore we're happy! Will be getting another one soon.

Purchased this Doodlebone harness for our 16 month old chihuahua. She is a fairly small chi so we were not certain if this would still be too big for her. It was a tight fit at first however after several trips to the park it loosened up and fitted very well. All the stitching is very strong and our chihuahua seems to not even notice that she is wearing it. I would definitely recommend this product for dogs of all sizes but especially for the smaller breeds.

Brought this for my Cavalier King Charles as wanted something that wouldn't dig into him and cause unnecessary pain if he pulled on the lead as he has recently been diagnosed with spondylosis. It fits perfect and not too tight and no need to lift his legs to put it on him like our other harness. I love it and I think he does too as he can now just stand whilst we get him ready for a walk. If he pulls on the lead now I don't worry. It also looks good.

This harness looks amazing on my little Cavalier, sadly I had to send it back several times before I found the right fit. I couldn't find a size to fit my larger Cavvie, even the large didn't fit. However they are well made and can be washed which is a plus. It is not expensive but looks cute on the little dogs. The seller was good, each time I sent one back to request the next size, they did without question and promptly sent on the next size.

I absolutely love DoodleBone harnesses - I literally won't dress my dog in anything else. He's a breed with quite a sensitive back, and I'm always eager to ensure he's well supported and comfy. The great colours these harnesses come in are also fab - I've been using the harnesses for 4 1/2 years now and they've never let me and my dog down. Very affordable and superb quality. Recommended!!!!

It seems that they have changed the pattern used to make the new harnesses - as this is most definitely smaller than the original one that we bought some 6 years ago, when laid on top of the older one it is clear that the new one is samleer - even though it is the same "Size" on the label??Has anyone else found this to be the case - and no my dog hasn't got any bigger in the interim.,

This is an ideal little harness for a dog who needs to be at the next bush before he's left the first one.Buster is a crossbreed Jack Russell/Whippet. He has a wide barrel chest.His neck measurement is: 33cms. A LARGE size fits him perfectly. There is plenty of adjustment length for the chest. Picture 3 caught him in the early stages of a good shake so it appears slightly fuzzy.

Love doodlebone products but I returned for a refund as the sizing seems.way off. I ordered small for my terrier and the body part fit well but the neck was far too tight and my dog has a very small headThey need to adjust sizing as you cannot adjust the collar part it's a solid circle. Friends have also had problems with the sizing of this harness.

These harnesses are great but the new design makes for different sizing - my dogs have the medium from the original version for years and I’ve just ordered the same and they don’t fit they are thicker around the neck and smaller.. So need to get a large! Also the large in the puppy version doesn’t fit so the size there is different....
