The problem with surefire flashlights issued by law enforcement agencies: Working corrections I am issued a surefire which has one setting. Extremely bright. This is very effective to get inmates attention from the tower by manually strobing, but in low light conditions such as a pod tower or looking at paperwork in low light it's way too much and exhausts batteries very often. Also gets more dim as the the battery goes down.This Fenix flashlight is the best in their line to replace the issued surefire. First off it fits in the issued surefire speed holster on the duty belt once your remove the tail grip ring. If you want to keep the ring for shooting, keep the ring on and the light fits upright bezel down in many holsters.

As a tactical torch, the Fenix TK16 leaves little to be desired. - It is very well made, has four excellent levels of light output, (it is astoundingly bright at highest setting), is fairly lightweight, is easily pocketable, and uses readily available batteries.It is supplied complete with a simple but durable ballistic nylon type belt sheath (velcro closure), a wrist lanyard, and a spare O-ring. (Plus a comprehensive multi-language instruction leaflet).NB: Batteries are not supplied, so have to be ordered separately.I cannot really fault the product at all, and would have given it five star rating other than for the price.In all honesty,

Flashlight itself is superb. The light is slightly off white towards a greenish yellowish tint. It's barely noticeable in the first place, and after 10 seconds of runtime, you don't notice it anymore. I've attached a photo where the brightness best matches actual in person light.Cons-(for special case weapon mounting)Plan ahead if you plan to use a fenix tape switch tail cap. It uses a coiled cord for some reason and it's bulky on the rail. Has potential to get in the way for optics. Also can't tie it up tight because of this coil and can have the opportunity to snag on environment.

Great torch. Lots of fun to use.Good size. Worth the price but after some time the tail cap is now problematic. Have to use it without the grip ring now or it wont change light levels. Thats ok though. I think fenix are making the threads a little cheaper. Wish the led was bigger like the tk22 and aslo wish the silver cone had a texture not smooth. Good torch though.

The flashlight came as advertised and it has certainly lived up to my expectations. I did a lot of research before buying and I can tell that this thing was well designed. I particularly like the dual tail switch setup. It is extremely bright and has a very consistent beam pattern. I recommend using rechargeable flattop 18650 batteries to get maximum performance.

I have been using this light for wildland firefighting and search and rescue operations. It has performed perfectly, and I would not change a thing. It is solid in the hand without being too bulky. The dual tail cap switches are easy to operate. Produces great light.

Bought this light to mount on my ar15 with a 1" mount. Works perfect. Love the dual tail switch. If you are looking for a good well built light to mount tactically on an ar15 this is the one to get. Just pair it with a quality 18650 battery and it will be good.

Has three levels of brightness and remembers the setting you choose. Even the lowest level of brightness is enough to flash blind you at night, it is a very powerful LED bulb.
