I found them quite flattering, they certainly arnt sheer, but they're not thick winter tights either.I received a size large, and the waist measures 10 inches unstretched. I'm a size 10-12 and this large fits me nicely without pulling in too tightly. I certainly wouldn't want them any smaller !So bare in mind these do come up fairly small !!The inside leg is 20 inches, again unstretched.I wouldnt say these were bad at all, not by any means, infact they look good on. The issue is simply the sizing !!
