I must have tried about a dozen different brands of kneadable eraser over the years, from the cheapest generic kind to some quite expensive brands, before settling for two types that I like best. This is the one I prefer for erasing coloured pencil and I like the stiffer Koh - I - noor for removing graphite and charcoal. This one is very pliable and squidgy, which is perfect for shaping it to cover a small area. For lifting coloured pencil I find it best to shape the eraser to a little smaller than the area you need to clean, press it down on to the place, lift , knead to get a clean bit and repeat the process pressing and lifting until the area is clean. If it is a staining colour then gently using a plastic eraser like the Tombow Mono will remove the rest effectively without damaging the surface. I don't try and actively rub out with this kneadable eraser with coloured pencil but this method works well as long as you remember to use a clean area of it every time you press it down on the paper. The Faber Castell Kneadable Eraser gives you about twice as much volume of eraser as the Koh - I - noor does for roughly twice the price, so is quite economical and both come in a neat case to keep them clean. It is less oily than some other brands ( these erasers are all made of carbonated rubber with some added oil) but is probably too floppy to hold a point to erase with. It holds together well, unlike some cheap varieties, so lasts longer and doesn't tend to shed pieces that weld themselves immovably into the surroundings. This does the job of erasing coloured pencil at a decent price, which is what one wants from an item that will need to be replaced once it becomes dirty.

I've tried many erasers over the year and this, though with it's limitations, is probably the one I go to most. The eraser is very pliable and can be torn easily and shaped for relatively controlled erasing. It also comes in a neat plastic case, which keeps it all in one place and free of fluff and dust. For me, the real positives is that it copes with a multitude of mediums really well - coloured pencil, graphite, charcoal, pastel can all be erased (depending, of course on the paper and quality of the medium being erased). It is also very good for removing excess graphite without removing the whole line - e.g if you're sketching and creating multiple contour lines, simply dabbing the lines will remove excess graphite, while leaving enough outline for you to apply colour without leaving garish graphite outlines. It also works very well with pastels, not just to erase lines, but also to perform subtractive techniques. If I was to pick a negative, it would be that it's not really firm enough to offer precise erasing. And, to be honest, I am still struggling to find a good solution to that.Still, as mentioned earlier, this is my go-to, and is always on my desk.

This kneadable eraser arrives in a clear plastic box (a bit like the ones for memory cards) which is great as my old one didn't and it dried up over time. The box should stop the same thing from happening with this one.The eraser is very soft and pliant, similar to blutack after its been pulled and stretched so it's easy to mould to shape or pull bits off and work with them. It does a great job of lifting excess pastel and charcoal from the paper and lightens areas of shading done with soft graphite pencils when they've been darkened too much. I've not used it on white paper so I don't know if it will mark or discolour the paper with it being dark in colour but I wouldn't have thought FaberCastell would make such a mistake but I have used erasers that have marked the paper in the past.

I am new to art work and have been using a traditional eraser for my work, draw backs are :-rubber shearings everywhere that need to be dealt with .Also it damages the surface of my watercolour paper and alters the texture, making the paint react differently and" bleed".Have discovered that this mouldable eraser absorbs the pencil easily and completely without messy shearings or damage to the paper. One huge advantage is it sticks to my angled board or the top of my pencil and stays put, so i always know where it is. Very efficient piece of essential equipment, i highly recommend it.

Its clean and erases with ease, and used lightly you can keep your structure lines. I thought erasing was cheating, now I realise I was a fool. Works extremely well with Graphite, ok with carbon (lightening up), bit rubbish with charcoal and total crap with pierre noire (conte a paris). This is great value for money, but i thought I'd try some cheaper ones anyway - because I'm crazy like that - this was superior in every way, the collection of material and the pliability and lack of smudging. It also has a handy box, which you will need. If I could only erase the rough edges of my passed.

Just what I needed for doing outline work for my paintings and coloured pencil art. Had never heard of these little things before unti saw a YouTube artist using them. They do exactly what they say they do, they lift graphite to almost (and sometimes truly) invisible standards so you can use pencils and paints without the graphite bleeding into your work or showing through. It can be moulded into various points to get more detailed areas lighter without affecting other surrounding areas as well. It’s also fun to just knead when you’re stressed during your art lol.

Oh, my holy good heavy, how on earth did I live without one of these for so long?? I was getting sick recently with my old standard eraser either taking the top layer off my paper or creasing it, that I decided to try something different, so I bought one of these. It's so cheap, but works a million percent better than an old fashioned eraser. You can roll it up, dab it or lightly rub it on the paper and the pencil comes away without damaging or smearing. I'm absolutely converted!!

I can't believe I've been using regular erasers my whole life. I'm 30. I've lived at least 2 decades of it thinking that those little messy eraser chippings that come off the page when you rub something out was unavoidable! How silly I've been.Look. A kneadable eraser like this is what has been missing from your life. Buy it and feel like royalty, the ease of use, efficiency and longevity of this product will be better than your regular old synthetic rubber!

This is different to any other Eraser I've used, but it works well on colour pencil errors made middle to large, but find it difficult to manage in a tight pattern were the error is small, however I have only had this Eraser a short while. It is worth while trying as it leaves no little pieces which you have to wipe away from your picture and it is kind to the paper.

I got this for my art classes in school as I love to draw. It is very pliable and easy to use. Was a little smaller than imagined but still a great size. The box at first was a little tricky to open but after I worked it out it was fantastic. I totally recommend it to people who need a rubber to erase small details like highlights on a facial feature.

Bought this for my son who is showing a lot of interest in art these days. Since he is a beginner his teacher asked him to buy this kneadable eraser for his art lessons. He started using it and found it really useful for his art. He says this is better than his regular eraser. Definitely a good product and worth buying it.

It is an extremely good art eraser and I would recommend anyone to get this as it is cheap and it comes with a case which is handy to store in a pencil case (especially as I have a compartment which is the perfect size for my pencil case) I would recommend this to people who don't draw even as it leaves no mess.

This is my first time using a rubber like this and wow I was stunned! It doesn't completely erase the sketch but lightens it so you are able do do smooth line work without the fear of completely eraseing your work, so for me a real life changer! Would buy agian and recommend Thanks!☺️

i love this eraser i think its great and it was bigger than i expected it works great for lifting graphite off the paper instead of just pushing it around love using it before i watercolour something and its not too soft where it doesnt stay in its shape when using it.
