We recently became owners of a 3 month old Border Collie puppy who loves the outdoors. He came from his first home with a chain lead which wasn't very practical. Not easy to shorten and the handle was uncomfortable when he tried to pull. In our short ownership of our puppy we felt walking him to be difficult and it was becoming a chore. We invested in this because of it's anti-pull properties and the handle which wouldn't crush your fingers even if he continued to try and pull... and it has made the world of difference walking him. He's now 6 months old, getting stronger but this lead is doing a great job of making walks easy and prevents them from feeling like a chore. The handle is extremely comfortable and the elasticated section of the lead has good pull-back with little to no input.... if he tries to pull, it just gently springs him back and he stops.I combined this with an anti-pull harness... not that he needed it but I preferred him on a harness to a collar.2 bits of advise I would give...1: Go for the longer option... which in my opinion is already quite short. Only go for the shorter lead if you have a big dog that you want to walk right by your side.2: If your dog is a chewer... it MIGHT be able to destroy this quite easily, so keep it out of reach.

I have a 42kg 17 month old GS/BS. He pulls a lot. I wanted a bar type handle lead as the fabric loops end up enclosing around my fingers and hurting ; especially whilst wearing my wedding band. The handle is very comfortable to hold and does not hurt over time. It has a foam cover. I got the 40" one, which is about 1 metre in length. It stretches out another 12". The lead is very good. I've used now twice. I like that there is elastic in it which helps ease the pull. In a nutshell I find it really good and worth the money. If the dog tries to pull away the bar really helps hold him easier. It does need a 6" length of foam handle near the base. When you get to roads I grip the bottom of the lead to stop the dog suddenly darting off whilst waiting to cross. But the lead is not comfortably to hold at the base. I hope EZYDOG add a control base part to it, like there other lead.My dog pulls hard, weighs 42kg, pulls at least 15-20kg at times. The elastic has not gone so it is strong. So far I'm impressed with it. If it had a control part at the base it be perfect.

Only tried this on a couple of short walks so far and I have to say I am indeed very impressed. The handle is so comfortable to hold and is soft and warm. I had been using an old chain lead with a leather loop handle, belonging to our previous dog, and this is a massive improvement for walking our 5 month old Staffie X pup. No yank of the leather across your hands when he pulls and no having to grab cold, hard chain when you need to quickly shorten. The stretchable section of the lead not only cushions your arm and hand when the dog pulls but also seems to help in pulling them back to some extent, saving you having to keep doing it quite so much. Yes,he still pulls but on the whole it is a much more comfortable experience than with the old type of lead. Yet to see how it performs over time, wet weather, the dog trying to chew it etc. but first impressions are of a very well designed improvement on traditional leads. Good stuff, anything to make the job of getting a pup used to walking on a lead, "bring it on please!"

A really comfortable handle. I like the little bit of 'give' in the leash which makes it much more comfortable when running with my dogs, you don't end up suddenly stopping dead as there is that little bit of flexibility and fido suddenly realises...hey lets go again. My only concern is that the same flexibility can be disconcerting when the dog pulls on busy roads when loud lorries pass and startle. Generally one of the better dog leads what pleased me most was it wasn't too long, I use ours with a coupler for 2 dogs which means that ordinary leads are miles too long and finding a shorter one for a medium sized dog [ideal length 34-36 inches]add on double coupler length makes it about right.

I know it is very early days, in fact only used it once but what a difference. My girl has always pulled on the lead and gets very excitable when people are around but I used this lead and because of its shorter length (it was still loose though) she was closer to my side and far easier to control. So pleased I have ordered a second one for her brother, they will be great for walking along roads which I tend to do during the winter months. I have Clumber Spaniels and it was just right, not so short that she couldn't stop and sniff but not long enough for her to pull to far ahead.

This lead is fantastic! We had the longer version but my two year old decided to throw it away last Sunday! In the middle of a huge forest might I add. Anyway... The handle is soo comfy & really soft on your hand & great shape! This is the shorter version which actually suits my big doberman better in all honesty, I felt the longer lead had too much spring in it for a big dog & is much suited for a smaller dog. A very well made product which is really strong & will last a life time (if you don't chuck it away that is) you'll not be disappointed with your purchase :)

Bought this lead to go with the matching harness. Very pleased with both. Our dog Rosie is a year old staffy-lab cross and at arround 27kg, she can give you a fair jolt when she pulls. The elastication in the lead certainly takes some of the energy and makes it easier to restrain her. We wanted a nice thick rope style lead and this fits the bill. The easy grip rubber handle is a nice feature. The lead is pretty strong and robust and appears well made, I'm hopefull it'll last quite a while. Generally very pleased with the product and would recommend.

My dog likes to pull her way to the park which can strain your arm quite a bit with the jerking action.I bought this on a lightning deal and got it quite cheap . My only issue is that she is a medium sized dog and the recommendation said to get the shorter lead as opposed to the longer length which i did and I have had to add an extension bungy (which i luckily already had) as the lead was way to short to walk the dog comfortably by itself. If i bought this again i would buy the longer length.

Great product and if you have any hand, arm or shoulder problems this is a must! the handle is a dream to use, the give in the pull is great and most of my friends have got one. Only problem? its about 4 inches to short. I know you can buy an extension but these are too long so maybe a few inches longer would be better for when the dog wants to go on the grass and I don't want to have to be right next to him.

I bought this for my 15kg dog and it stretches enough to ease any jolts but not too much for him to go anywhere like the road. In the summer I do find the handle makes my hand hot and the lead won't fit into my coat pocket but these are minor inconveniences. I use this on my dog's chest harness. I wouldn't use this lead for a dog who constantly pulls as I imagine the elastic would eventually weaken.

great lead when used with the ezydog harness I could hardly feel my dog pulling it the ideal lead for town use and for running with your dog the onlycon of this lead is it hasn't got a traffic handle but this lead is very comfortable to hold can burn your hand if you do grab the lead instead of the handle wear gloves its starting to look a bit worse for wears but it still works

This is the best lead / leash I ever had !! I'm very satisfied , it's very comfortable and tough .Really the best!!!The colour is very beautiful .I bought this from Italy and the shipping was very fast .I use this lead /leash with a dalmatian dog but i use the extension with it .Maybe a little longer would be better.Sorry for my bad english !!

This lead is eccellent,my dogs won't stop pulling when they are on their leads and i would get jolted every time.that is no longer a problem thanks to the bungy elastic part of these leads that acts like a shock obsorber.i am very inpressed with this lead and have bought two,I thourghly recomend these leads.

Great lead - we have a very big, strong dog so this lead takes the worst out of it if he decides to pull. However, despite being pretty well trained to walk to heel (so he doesn't constantly pull on it) the elastic did break down after about 9 months. That said, it was good enough for us to order another one.

Really like this lead, it's easy to hold due to the big comfy handle and the elastic takes some of the shock out when they pull. The only down side is that its a bit of a pain to tuck away when you let them off lead, I've put a clip on the handle and wrap it round my waist. Would buy again.
