I decided to upgrade from my old thermarest trail lite after many years of good use. It was between the downmat 5 lite, the synmat 7, synmat 7 UL and the thermarest neoair xlite. I went down to an outdoors shop to try them out to decide which was right for me:- Right away I ruled out the neoair xlite. Yes it is very light and packs away small, but it is very narrow, and it does sound like you're lying on a crisp packet. Plus it seems really thin and that would worry me.- The synmat 7 and UL version were insanely comfortable (as is the UL 9), but the non UL version packed away too big for my liking and weighed too much, and whilst the UL 7 does pack down really small, you need to buy a separate pump which costs extra,

Excellent sleeping mat for the price. Arrived very quickly with Standard delivery as usual, no Prime rubbish.Warm, comfortable and lightweight. The photo shows the size of the Exped mat with three other mats. This is a winter mat, the dark grey mat is a summer mat from the another major brand at a similar cost so you can see the size difference. Blue mat is from a cheaper brand and has a much bigger pack size. The orange is the most expensive mat money could buy at the time for all seasons.Overall brilliant mat and pack size. Thank you very much Exped and sellor.

This mat is awesome. I'm over 200lb and can toss and turn on this and it supports my weight perfectly. It's also noticeably warmer than other mats I've used. I was expecting it to feel a bit cold when I first lay on it during a pretty cold night, but it wasn't. It also doesn't slip around like I expected it to. I didn't want to write the cliche of "it's as comfortable as my bed at home"... but it really is.

Great product. Mine lasted for three long trips of five to six months of daily use . It eventually failed towards the end of the third trip. Even then it may have had something to use with the vigorous use it was receiving ( I travel with my partner ). Be warned its messy if they burst. The inside of our tent looked like we'd been plucking chickens !

nice and comfortable; no issues regarding size for a 6ft2 guy.Nice and warm; however in my last winter camp I could definitely feel the chill from below.Having said that, this could also be down to the rest of my sleep system so will be testing it out with a combination of items to get the right ones partnering up!

Used last night at 4C. You could feel the warmth radiating back from it. Allowed me to use a lighter sleeping bag and just sleep in boxers and t-shirt at a well regulated temperature. I'm a side sleeper and it kept my somewhat bony hips off the ground. Fantastic.

I like the pad. The down isn't evenly dispersed in the pad. Even after great effort, I can't get the down in one of the columns to spread out evenly. I would make the purchase again but it isn't perfect.

Excellent mat, so comfortable. It took just 2 minutes to leisurely inflate with the hand pump. Pack size and weight are excellent too. Great value compared with more expensive mats

Used in October backpacking sheep hunt. Temps were in low twenties, high teens. Never felt the cold seep through! Love them and love Exped. They fit great in our two man tent.

Very good mat, once you work out how much air to put in.No chills from the floor of the tent and very comfortable.Packs up easily and takes up hardly any space.

I like it for sleeping and it is pretty lightweight for lugging around the back-country, but when deflating it grab a friend or pack a lunch it takes a while

A great compromise between light weight and comfort. I am 71 and need both and found this pad very comfortable. Pump works very good.

Used for the inca trail - excellent packing and size and really comfortable and warm - excellent - all that plus light weight!!
