I charged it before putting it in the camera and was pleased to find that the battery indicator was working. Other G6 users have reported this so I was hoping this would be the case. I always switch the camera off manually so I can't comment on the auto switch off function.I have only charged it once and it's still in the camera so I can't comment on the life of the charge but so far it seems fine.I know there are potential issues with the quality and Panasonic strongly advise against using third party products but bearing in mind the many positive reviews I am prepared to take the chance. My view is that the market has been created because of Panasonic's unrealistically high prices.

I have only had time to put this battery through two cycles, and thus have no reliable quantitative evidence as to how it compares with the official Panasonic battery which was supplied with my FZ200 as regards its capacity.However, thus far it has performed satisfactorily in all particulars, and appears to have an adequate capacity.It does register in the normal manner on the battery-usage "meter" which is useful.It behaved normally in the block Panasonic charger.Mine arrived with a useful close-fitting plastic frame which means that an accidental shorting across the terminals is almost impossible.Thus far, it has performed well, and I am confident that it will be useful back-up device.

I got this battery for my Panasonic DMC G5 that I bought in early July having used the same brand for a previous Panasonic camera with good results. This one seems just as good. The battery charge indicator works on my G5 without any problem showing 3,2,1 segments before the red flat battery indicator come on. Battery life seems OK with my manual zoom. No idea as to number of shots yet since I've been playing around with settings to get used to the camera's capabilities but it appears to be OK. Don't know about the auto off function because I never use it. Overall very good value for money.

This battery does what it says it will, at 1/5 the price of the genuine Panasonic. There are 2 minor drawbacks. 1) The battery doesn't display its remaining life, it just dies on you with no warning. Can't complain as you are warned in the product description. 2) The auto shut off feature doesn't seem to work with GH2 body. First time this happened came as a surprise, as I had put the camera down for 1/2 hour only to find it still on and quite warm! Battery needless to say didn't last much longer after this, but now I am aware, it easily matches the original for performance. A good buy.

I bought three of these batteries last week and I've been testing them since then. My camera is FZ1000.Both three batteries are recognized by the camera and while they might not display the remaining battery life as accurately as the original one, they do warn you when they are almost drained (the red blinking warning) and do not turn off abruptly.Battery life is good, lasting 3/4 of the time of the original battery. They cost 1/4 of the price of the original Panasonic battery, so I think it's a good deal.

Headline description says "does not display remaining power", but on my FZ200 firmware version 1.0, the battery indicator still works ok, indicating 3 bars, 2 bars then 1 bar, and finaly the red bar indicating about to switch off. Run time seems to be as good as the original battery. Maybe the battery has been updated since the original description was made, all I can report is the facts as they relate to my equipment. Has been in use for a couple of months now and works fine.

Couldn’t tell the difference between original battery and this battery until time to change between them. The battery has yet to stand the test of time as I’ve only recently purchases so can’t comment much on that.However, battery works perfectly and displays battery bars (this is a concern of many people buying 3rd party batteries). It uses the same original charger as Lumix G7 (not sure about the rest of the G series but I assume so).I would recommend!

You hear some utterly ridiculous tales about non branded batteries blowing up, melting the camera not displaying all the information on the screen etc etc etc. They are all complete and utter fabrications, made up nonsense by brand snobs who prefer to waste their money and your time. This is interchangeable with the original battery and I cannot tell which is in the camera until the moment I have to change them and open the compartment.

While not quite as good as the original Panasonic battery, at a tenth of the cost it works very well and lasts a long time in my Panasonic Lumix FZ200 camera. The power monitor tends to dive very quickly from 3 bars but not a big issue. Whenever one battery dies I can switch batteries to the spare in the field and continue almost uninterrupted. And then charge at my convenience when I get home. Was a very good purchase.

This battery does the job for as long as the original Panasonic one. It simply doesn't indicate on the camera's indicator exactly how much battery charge is left. I get 5-8 hours out of my £53 Panasonic battery, and this as the second battery means you never run out in a days work, if it is less than 16 hours...come on, when did you last have the camera on that long!!!

The ex pro panny dmw-blc12e works great with the G6, lasts just as long as the original camera battery and also shows the power level, at a fraction of the price, It could well be that the battery which came with my camera was not as good as it should have been, but I see no difference between the two in performance,I was so impressed that I ordered another one,

As others have said the battery indicator on the camera does bot function correctly. When out and about taking many many shots the indicator still showed full battery - then suddenly camera shut down.Always always carry a second spare battery with youOtherwise battery is fine4 stars as I had read the reviews and knew about indicator issue.

For tour of Japan I needed to be sure I would not run out of power half way through a day. Always a bit doubtful about quality of non original bits and pieces, but from my first outing I was quite impressed with the staying power of this. Can't say if it will be the same after 50 re-charges, but preety good so far

The usual Ex-Pro quality and a direct replacement for the original makers batteries in cameras. Charges well with all chargers and lasts at least as long as the original at a fraction of the price. I usually look out for Ex-Pro stuff when I need anything like this and this was no disapointment.

Was a bit hesitant to buy as not 100% sure they would work on my Leica without any errors as I had read many reports of aftermarket batteries doing so.. I did ask the question from the supplier but had no response..so just gambled and bought..luckily work fine.. Lets see how long they last
