This is one of the most usefull pieces and versalie equipment I have perchased, I does everything one would expect from a mains powered scarifier, but more than that it did it without the annoying power cable getting in the way. Plus it has the ability to be quickly convered from a Scarifier to a Lawn Rake, talk about versatile.It is not a cheap Item to purchase but what is when it involves good quality new technology, some people have bemond the fact you have to buy the batteris and battery charger separately, but this is because the batteries used by this scarifier can be used for other battery powerd tools and equipment in this range.

Part of the excellent Einhell Power x-change range. I already had the batteries so bought this item without batteries. I use it with 2 x 4.0 batteries and this gives plenty of power and time. As with a lot of these machines the grass box is useless. Too small and gets filled in seconds. This machine removes lots of thatch and moss very quickly. I take the box off and then remove the stuff using my petrol mower essentially as a large vacuum. It never ceases to amaze me how much thatch clogs up my lawn. Another tip is to use liquid iron to kill the moss a few days before using this machine. Now on my third year of use and working as well as it did in the first year.

The description was lacking as it indicated that you need to buy a battery and charger separately, which I duly did. It was only when the unit arrived that it was apparent that it needs 2 batteries, at a cost of more than £50 for the second battery. A grass collector bag would be very useful but was not available from Amazon so I had to order it separately from the manufacturer in Germany. Not the most easy of purchases but the product quality is very good.

But disappointed with this machine. No assembly instructions and it’s not obvious. It does a good job of scarifying but a bag would be useful to collect the debris but I’m having trouble sourcing one for this model. It is powerful for a battery operated machine.

Like the machine itself, however ordered the collection bag and this is not so useful, easier to rake the stuff up.

This has made caring for my lawns so much easier. It is easy to use and makes short work of moss and dead grass.

It came with no batteries or grass box Is is possible to buy a grass box for the model I purchased ?

Very good for small and mediums lawns, adapted to run on Makita batteries as all my tools.
