I would recommend this wifi extedender but I must admit that I have had a few problems. The trouble is, I'm not sure if the problems are due to the extender or the nature of the wifi signal! I use Virginmedia broadband and my wifi superhub offers me a choice of 2g or 5g wireless internet. The 2g is no problem at all the extender works perfectly. However, when it comes to the 5g connection, it's another matter. I find the extender loses signal to the 5g connection on a rather regular basis and I have to restart the device to rescan and find the connection again. The trouble is that 5g wireless internet works on different radio channels to the normal 2g connections and some of these channels have a problem with some devices.

A great bit of kit would recommend it to others but you have to have some knowledge in setting up this type of equipment up. The instruction are no better than useless as for the cd you get with it; it’s just a copy of the instructions. The easiest way I found is to go on the default http web page in your internet explorer and the set it up from there, just remember every time you press apply on each page the unit will reboot which is a bit of a pain. When its running it works very well.

I got this Edimax Wireless Extender today and it works a treat, its a doddle to setup and within 10 minutes it was up and running, I have an Apple Airport Extreme base station, but found that the downstairs bedroom was a bit of a wireless black spot for my Xbox 360 & Samsung Smart TV, But since installing this Extender in the room both my tv and Xbox receive a full strong signal that doesn't even fluctuate.I would recommend it without hesitation, £40+ well spent.

I read the reviews on this, and most said it was difficult to install. I was desperate to improve our failing BT FIBRE OPTIC signal, but did not want to pay the £70 for a BT version.I am technophobic, and I installed it within 5 minutes so please don't be put off! We have an excellent signal now! I can't believe it. I keep disconnecting and reconnecting just to prove it works! Great little item, does exactly what it says on the box!

Works well and I agree with Gee-Gee; the install instructions could be a little clearer but it was reasonably easy to set up and once done it works well. Signal strength and range away from my main wireless router are vastly improved and with the benefit that you can move it around the house wherever you need a stronger signal. Recommended!

Good price for extending ethernet (Wi-fi) to upstairs when the electric circuit wired versions will not work because of separate circuits.

Has covered the 'dead spots' in a 70 year old house very competently. Very pleased with it, seems stable and works well.

Bought this as a direct replacement, for my now broken Devolo dLan 200, very pleased with the dual band it works well.

Fantastic piece of kit, has made bedroom wifi coverage top brilliant where I had a weak coverage before.
