This lantern gives a cosy feel to my living room, I don’t have the space for a fire but this lantern sits on my coffee table just nicely. The quantity is pretty good although it could do with rubber feet to stop it sliding about at least it is made from metal, not plastic, the coal/ log effect could be a bit more realistic but the flame effect is good, it does not make any noise at all in operation. Overall I am happy with it.

I was looking for something to put in my fireplace as it is just for show. I tried various things but this is the one I’m using now. It looks nice and I’m happy with it.Only gripe is it is on a set timer so it comes on at the same time and goes off at same time everyday which is ok, but wish it was for longer, although you can manually switch on again, that would mean getting up every time to switch on lol

I have been looking for something like this for my open fireplace when it is not in use just to be able to have the glow of the fire. This does the trick. Sits nicely in my fireplace too. It is on a 6 hour timer so I have it on from 4pm till 10pm. You can switch it on any time you want though.

very effective fire. Works on battery C type.Also powered by usb and 4.5v dc input. Would been nice the fire come with its own PSU. Though it was no problem for me. Takes the chill off the winter. The fire has a inbuilt 6 hour timer. By working on 4.5v it safe as well.

The lantern provides a safe and realistic glow without any heat. I doubted that such an item existed before finding this one. The recipient is delighted with it.The quality is excellent and the price from Argos was significantly below what was available elsewhere.

I have had so many compliments on the lantern with people wanting to take it with them when they have left. I could have earned commission as at least three people have ordered it since.Timer is great and lasts well on decent batteries or using the usb charger.

I cant have a real fire so put this in my fire place and put my fire gaurd on and it was like the real thing. All lit up and a cosy warm glow at night without the mess. Love this product.

Had to return the first one I bought as the background light stopped working after three weeks. It looks impressive so it was a definite case of replacement rather than refund.

Love it! we used it to place in our empty wood burner for when it wasn't being used, looks great all lit up. Very realistic logs, smoke and flames too!
