After bread, a toaster is a staple for life and living - many companies have forgotten this, Dualit hasn't!There are many toasters out there and over the years I have owned quite a few - some great and others, to use a modern parlance 'suck'. There is nothing to compare to coming home freezing cold, soaking wet, miserable and (you can tell I live in Britain can't you) desperate for something to eat to make it all better - TOAST screams your inner soul! You wander over to your 'other' brand toaster, apply the requisite bready material and press down on the lever; it is at this point sometimes the entire universe conspires against you. Bought on special (Large store currently on sunday night tv program)at time cheaper than Amazon best toaster so far owned. Had an expensive top end Breville toaster that was really well made and heavy but took 5 - 6 mins to toast the bread medium brown (Wholewheat Bread) so slow that if you fried eggs they would be cooked before the toast was ready. This toaster toasts the same wholemeal bread in about 2 mins, you can use either left or right slots for 1 or 2 slices of toast. Some makes you have to use the right hand slot for this. You can also raise the toast via the lever manually to see how brown the toast is without activating the cancel button, very impressed.

This toaster is more expensive than others but, in our view, is infinitely better. Very flexible and with many options including toasting from frozen. We have had it and used it for over three months now and we could not be happier.

Brilliant toaster - takes a bit of time to toast but perfect results at end. Like the option to check toast during cooking as will a bagel option. Very smart and easy to clean.

Gives nice even brown toast. Very pleased with the quality. Not quite big enough slots for a large 2 lb loaf.
